Air laws are constantly evolving, this is the second update course (an A2 conversion) I have attended after my initial PfCO training, with UAV8, this time virtual.

As usual, UAV8 were absolutely up-to-date, even though there were changes to 722 the day before - the guys there presented the changes in a professional and knowledgeable format suitable for the virtual learning environment. Ensuring we understood the what the difference's are, and the conversion choice (A2 or GVC) was suitable for each individual operators needs.

"I'll be back" for any future training

I went through my PfCO training with UAV8 a couple of years ago and found their approach to training to be very thorough yet attainable. This is not only due to their immense combined knowledge, but their way of making the presentations highly relatable to everyone.

Yesterday, the UAV8 guys ran a Zoom-based training session for myself and another PfCO pilot so we could convert to the new A2 CofC and GVC, ready for January 1st, 2021.

As with the PfCO training a couple of years ago, everything was run through their reinforcement teaching method. Questions asked at each stage and only moving-on when we were ready.

I'm looking to include EVLOS and fixed-wing in my rating and looking forward to doing this with UAV8.

Completed and gained the A2 CoC competency further from holding PfCO - all completed via intensive yet easy and highly effective teaching / training via the army professionals @ UAV8 Ltd - they are truly at the very top of the game!
Great experience and expect continued support post qualification gain over the coming years as I have over the last two years with the PfCO.

Attended the course this weekend with little knowledge of drone piloting and safety.
I throughly enjoyed the course and felt that the amount of knowledge gained in the classroom with in a short period of time was excellent.
I agree with all the other comments on the aviation knowledge and experience of the instructors which I could listen to all day.
You can see the passion in this guys to teach and I would recommend them any day of the week.

From the moment I first contacted the guys at UAV8 they have done everything they can to help me and keep me informed. Upon meeting them and training with them it was evident that these guys were top of their game with knowledge and professionalism throughout. With untold years experience within military aviation they made me feel at ease. A fantastic centre of operations to boot, there's not too much else to ask. An excellent company with excellent staff. Well what can I say, I found these guys through a website called drone safe. I got recommended lots of different companies however on my 3rd company that I inquired with which was UAV8, As soon as I spoke to these guys from the get go they were professional had lots of useful information and made it very clear that they are out to make sure that what is in place is for the safety of others and to make sure that the drone pilot is competent in the job that he or she is doing and understands the CAA laws.

On the day of training Nick was very welcoming made sure the we had everything in place. The training was in depth and I did not find a single bit boring these guys are ex military or still currently serving. The have a huge knowledge base in this field and would recommend this company highly, you will not be disappointed and has a 100% pass rate.

I contacted UAV8 to get up to standards with my drone qualifications and the new drone regulations. From the first contact through to my initial flight assessment, I felt I had come to the RIGHT company for my requirements.

The team has a wealth of past and current aviation/flight experience to share. The teaching is carried out in a relaxed and comfortable environment, with lots of helpful hints and tips for easy learning outcomes, ensuring that safety is paramount.

In my opinion, the UAV8 team teaching skills will help eradicate stigma, which is often attached to drone flying by irresponsible beings offering the best in-flight safety training, which they demonstrated during my flying assessment. I am Health Safety Certified and will say that UAV8 is the BEST in the business for flight tuition!

You will leave UAV8 with the confidence and know-how to fly safely per CAA Regulations and physical professional training with a passionate team and the knowledge; you have continuous support from all of them moving forward.

Such a wealth of knowledge these guys. Took my A2 CofC CAA Certification on Saturday and UAV8Ltd are brilliant! There isn’t much (if anything), they don’t know about aviation full stop, but it’s the way the training is given that is the key. You come away having actually learnt a lot because it’s presented in an interesting and easy to understand way. FANTASTIC!

completed my A2 course for use next year with UAV8 today. They came recommended by a friend and the whole day was fantastic from start to finish. I left with total understanding of legislation and passed the test. Thank you very much guys.

Completed the A2 COC course with UAV8, 8th August 2020, for use next year. I would highly recommend this group of professionals to train with. Their course is complete, clearly and competently delivered. The only way you could fail is, if you somehow slept through it, and there is little chance of that. The information and presentations are interesting and engaging. Added to which they ensure and encourage your participation. Their attention to detail in ensuring students are protected in this time of the Covid pandemic, through the planing of space within the conference room, means that you can undertake the course with confidence. You can also be assured, they've figured out how to safely provide your break-time teas/coffee snacks and lunch. They've thought of everything. I would recommend staying at the hotel, or one near by if you live more than an hour away to make sure you get the best out of the day. Great group of people with a wealth of knowledge, respect and patience as becoming of UK armed services professionals.

I had the pleasure of completing my PfCO with Baz and the team back in 2018, all the reviews ring true.
People came from all over the country down to Suffolk to train with these guys. I truly believe some of the best UAV training in the country.

Massively professional, informative and funny, even helped me with my renewals since my visit.

I've just done my GVC-PfCO-A2COC with these guys. Presentation and information absolutely first class..its intense but the course is made easy with the excellent knowledge and skill these guys have. I very highly recommend them and I won't be going anywhere else for future courses.

It’s a lot of information to take in but they kept it interesting and very informative.

Baz, Nick and Mark are fantastic instructors drawing from their own personal Army and Apache flying experience.
