Extremely poor service

Extremely poor service. I can't add extra baggage to my trip even I spoke directly with the airline and they explained it is possible (by checking my booking reference). I do not recommend Tripair service it is the worst.

Ver very poor service

Ver very poor service, I’m trying to contact them since June 2020 for my refund but no luck, they are fraud and bad, I talked to a lawyer and he is willing to submit a dispute to the Greece court.
I don’t mind spending thousands of dollars for the court but I will not let it go without punishment
My flight was cancelled on June 2020 and since then I’m trying to get refund but failed
Definitely I will go to court

Tripair informed me about the refund

Update 13.10.2021.
I just got an email that I am going to receive a refund for one of my tickets purchased in February 2020. There is another ticket to be refunded, but I already feel relieved.

____________________________________

In February 2020, unfortunately, I booked two aeroplane tickets for Turkish Airlines with this company. The total worth of both tickets was 400 EUR. The flights were cancelled due to the pandemics. When I contacted Turkish Airlines regarding these tickets, they informed me that both tickets had been refunded in April 2020 to the travel agency from which I bought them. However, Tripair has never refunded me the worth of these tickets, nor they have contacted me or my mother regarding the refund. I have sent an inquiry to Tripair via their contact form, but I never received any answer. Other companies - PETAS.GR and ALTAIR.GR are also not reachable. It is not acceptable, and it is a shame that such a company is a member of IATA, HATTA and the Greek National Tourism Organization. I have contacted the Greek State Authorities, and now I am waiting for their reaction and response.

"No ticket, where did my money go?" [returned]

I have decided to write a (long) fair review here based on a booking gone wrong this week (my first in 20 years online ticket booking) and a scary ride "where did my money go?". The last time I used TripAir was 6 years ago I figured in my mailbox, just one of those bookings you never think of to write a review about. This review is about this week.

Whichever airline ticket agent you look at these days, one common denominator is that they all gather bad reviews based on bad experiences due to corona cancellations. True as they may be, I don't dispute these experiences, they completely distort a fair and balanced view for others as happy customers don't chime in.

I myself never left a review for all my successful and happy bookings. If you have to believe Trustpilot and others, there are no good ticket agents left. Can't be true. Sure, the adagio is: "just don't get anything messed up with the booking or flights", agents and airlines alike have issues with customer service.

Anyways, this week I booked a ticket for a flight four days later. While the payment was successful I got returned to the TripAir page, but it showed "an error occurred". No booking reference, no ticket in my screen, no confirmation emails. Tried to access my booking in TripAir by entering the flight/name details (escape option if you don't have reference number). Still nothing, didn't know the combination! But money gone, nearly 400 euro. "Oh nooo! It did not just happen to me right?".

I gave it an hour, two hours... still nothing. Tried to contact TripAir, but the phone numbers I could trace either don't exist/work or connect to someone else. This sounds like a nightmare for any e-shopper. Submitted the contact form. Immediately received a [automated] confirmation email of the helpdesk. "Oh, so that works at least".

As I had to make sure whether I had to make a new booking (before entering a probable long struggle to retrieve my money as I paid via my debit card) I decided to check with the airline whether the reservation got through. They could see the reservation did get through but got cancelled. Probably automatically, because the systems figured something went haywire, as my screen indicated.

At least I knew I had to make a new booking if I still wanted to fly. This time I vetted the brokers. I used TripAir years ago without any problems. As I did with many others. But the negative reviews over corona cancellations made me feel desperate. "Help! where can I book now?". Anyways, after I made sure I received a ticket at another reputable site I knew I called my bank which options I had outside of TripAir responding to me and refunding me. "None really". Looking at the comments in TP, I feared a months long struggle.

Today I checked my bankaccount and I noticed the money was returned. I have no idea whether that was automatically refunded as the systems noticed a failed booking (due to a probable technical error) or this was part of the helpdesk-ticket resolve (of which I received no further feedback, yet). All good. But to summarize:

TripAir should
- update their contact info (or remove the phone numbers). Dead phone lines feed "scam!" comments.
- explain in their FAQ what happens or should be done if the payment came through but the ticket was not issued [for whichever (technical) reason]. These are nerve wrecking moments, especially when you are in an urge to book a flight and can't wait forever for customer service. I understand this is not an easy job at all these days.

AVOID. Do not trust Tripair!

Absolutely terrible. Just contacted Emirates to be told that Tripair have requested a refund for my flight (delayed due to Covid) without my request or consent. No contact with me to ask if we wanted refund and now there is no way of contacting them as their phone number is invalid. From reading other reviews below this is a tactic they have used for many customers. Disgraceful service.

Don't know what to tell you about Trip air

My flight was cancelled on February 9, 2020 due to covid and still, I didn’t receive my refund. I was in Vietnam and I needed to go home to Europe. No one, Airline or Trip air didn't send me an e mail that my flights was cancelled. My family and I went to Hanoi airport and the employees told us that our flight was canceled. I contacted Tripair from the airport they ask me if they will start refound process I said yes, and from that moment they never contacted me back. Until two months ago when I send them mail. I contacted my lawyer who has agreed to assist me if I decide to go to court since we both are in EU. It makes me so angry. I will go to Greece in their office it's just 1000km from my home. So they can explain to me why I am waiting this long. I spent 4 days and more than 2500 Euros to come home.

16 months and no refund

TripAir have had my money for 16 months now. Egypt Air and Air India refunded my ticket but TripAir have not passed it on to me. They do not reply to emails and their phone line does not work. I believe they are owned by Altair who also do not reply to emails or have a working phone.
As soon as travel restrictions lift I will be taking a trip to their head office in Athens (if this exists) and taking goods t the value of the refund owned to me.

Official legal notice served to Tripair Athens address

For my May 2020 flights cancelled due to the pandemic, Tripair confirmed in September 2020 that I will be reimbursed. Ever since, I am waiting for that. It came to my knowledge that Tripair won't actually do anything unless pushed into action. Their customer service phone is dysfunctional and it's impossible to reach them other than by serving them official legal notice to their domicile address in Athens. This is what I will do in the coming days through my partner lawyer in Greece. I will update fellow customers here as soon as I do that.

Teimuraz Antelava

UPDATE: My experience confirms that Tripair only reacts when they categorize you as persistent customer. I activated "direct talks" with them via EU Online Dispute Resolution system (google it as the link is not allowed in this review) and they reimbursed me except for approx. 12% that they withheld as a final rip off as I will never ever use their "services".

Fraud - stay away

They are fraud, we are waiting for the refund from March 2019 for Lima-Toronto, Toronto-Amsterdam, raised a lot of tickets with them, no response, no nothing. The flights were canceled because of Covid so they just keep the money for themselves as AirCanada haven't received anything after discussing with them.

We will contact a lawyer and raise the problem with the Greek court, as it seems there's no other way with these persons.

Just never book with them!

Not even a star

Not even a star! A stupid joke this TRIPAIR!!! I am really pissed of now for a ticket they cancelled due to COVID for which I haven't had yet my money back. And a LOT, a LOT of emails they didn't answer. This is not possible, really! And they are keep trying to tell me they can help me with booking another flight and for this I must pay a fee. A fee which is almost as my lost ticket. A joke!

Tripair’s refunding “priority” list

The refund for my air ticket finally released from the black hole, called “Tripair”. Seems at some moment I appeared on No.1 spot of their refunding “priority” list. Sure, Tripair showed “self-respect” and cut 50 Euros (5% from ticket cost) from the refund. I guess, this is the charge for unforgettable service I got from their agency!
However, based on chronology of my refunding tournament, it reminds me more the story of a thief, who cannot find money in the house, so eventually steals something to compensate his efforts.
Anyway, I try to analyze what kind of refunding priority list is using Tripair and how I get the top spot on that list.
The existence of refunding priority list was notified me by Tripair three weeks after Emirates Airline has refunded them full cost of my ticket. Obviously, I got my spot somewhere in the bottom of that list. However, six weeks later, after few of my ignored requests, it appeared that my refund is pending because of slow processing by airline! Wow, I lost my spot on their priority list!
After another sex more weeks the refund delay was explained by high workload of their agency and, not surprisingly, again by airline. Hard to figure out, I am back into that list or not yet.
Well, even when everything is pointing on fraud, that’s assume that the above story didn’t logically lead to conclusion, that Tripair has adopted fraud scheme, i.e. illegally holding refunds of their customers air tickets, without any time limitation. Some of Tripair customers (read in reviews below) are waiting for their refunds for 6-12 months, i.e. from last year! So, how to explain, that within only 4 months I got that lucky No.1 spot on their priority list?
Dear Tripair customers, conclusion is simple, until in Tripair they will not consider you as “a potentially trouble-maker”, you will not get your refunds. Note, that according to their official refunding policy, they are not responsible for potential delays! Therefore, their PRIORITY list is the black list of troublemakers.
I guess my reviews in here (July 13, 20) as well as my last request to provide timetable for my refund and/or I will took them into Greek court has something to do in here:
1- Tripair replied to me within just 1 day (great achievement, never happened before within 1.5 years of our “friendship”;
2- Tripair admitted their understanding of my frustration (very polite “crocodile tears”) and next day their accounting department already notified me about completing the refund!
Anyway, I have to admit: in Tripair they have developed good sense of danger. My country’s embassy has agreed to assist me to charge them in Greece court, so they really reacted on time.
It’s a big mistake, if you think that Tripair don’t care what reviews you are writing in here. I guess someone can point on the fact, that Tripair never give any reply to negative reviews in here for last 12 months. 73% +5 % negative reviews are the real reflection of quality of service we have get from Tripair. Interesting, what a secret service is providing Tripair, which gives them that balancing 14%+5% of positive reviews? Someone still believe in fairy tales?
Dear all, don’t give up, do not leave oxygen to Tripair, share your stories through social networks. If you do nothing for stopping this fraud, tomorrow you’ll be trapped by another similar bloodsucker. If the crime goes unpunished, it will be repeated.
Concerning me: I feel honored to pay Tripair 5% for their unique service. So, token of my gratitude, I will be giving them free “marketing support” on all available to me social media.

Extremely poor customer service

I wish there was an option to give no stars at all. It was painful having to give one. Please listen to the reviews and avoid booking through this agency.

There has been no customer care or common sense carried out by themselves. I paid for a flexible fare. I have informed them MULTIPLE times that I can't fly from a certain state in Aus due to border closures, yet they continue to send me alternative flights from the same state.

My flight is in two days time and the issue has not been resolved. This is an issue that could be resolved in a 5 minute phone call. The phone number provided online does not get you through to an agent. I'm certain they don't answer any calls. 10 emails down the line and have made no progress.

The company are happy to take your money but there is little care in after services. I understand it's a tough time for everyone in the world, mistakes can be made but this is completely unacceptable for a company to deal with a situation in such ways.

I highly recommend paying the extra money and going directly through the airline. Lesson learnt.

Update: TripAir informs myself 15 hours before my original booked flight departs, that the only available flight between the 30th July and 6th August has a fare difference of 1200 AUD. If I wanted to book this flight I had to respond and pay within 5 hours. If I didn't book this flight I would run the risk of paying additional fees. They have provided me with ONE option, ONE option that is very expensive, ONE option 15 hours before my original booked flight is due to leave. This is the worst experience I've had with a company. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not give your money to this company.
