This was my second time volunteering with travelteer and I decided to join their new project in Vietnam. The experience was amazing. Both coordinators, Paula and Sean, were very kind and were always willing to help with whatever was needed. As it was a new project they were some flaws that needed to be wrinkled out but both coordinators were constantly open to suggestions and opinions about how the experience could be improved. Highly recommend the experience.

Although I was only able to be out in Sri Lanka for two weeks, I had the most incredible time on both the coast to coast tour and the sport development volunteering programme.

The programmes are organised and planned so well, to make it so easy and clear for the volunteers once you are there. Alongside, regularly planned socials, giving you the opportunity to become closer to your fellow volunteers and make so many new friends.

Our Coordinator, Liv, was so unbelievably friendly and supportive throughout my whole experience. Through an unwavering kindness and professionalism, I was able to have such a great time, where I have made so many memories.

Overall, I had the most amazing time. Would 100% recommend to all who get the opportunity.

I really enjoyed my trip to Morocco, it was an eye opening experience from working closely with the kids at the local school to helping the community with local problems. I also took part in the tour which was amazing, we got to visit 6 different locations in Morocco, from the Desert of Marrakesh to the Mountains of Ouazzarte. A highlight for me was visiting Atlas Studios where we visited the movie set of Game of Thrones which will forever be memeorable. Thank you to our coordinator Amazing Eddie, who was fun, supportive, trustworthy, amicable and he really did make the trip better. Thank you to the lovely MJ, the other coordinator who was kind and supported us aswell as created a great atmosphere for us to spend our free time.

My Travelteer Morocco experience was amazing, and a huge reason for that was MJ. She’s so funny, charismatic, and always brought such good energy to the group. She made me laugh constantly and made everyone feel so comfortable and included.

She also made me feel really safe and supported throughout the trip, which I appreciated so much. Honestly, it wouldn’t have been the same without her. Thank you, MJ, for making the experience so memorable and fun.

I also enjoyed having Eddie as part of the Travelteer Morocco experience. He had such a calm and funny vibe that made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable. I appreciated how easy he was to talk to and how he helped make the trip such a fun and enjoyable experience.

The Overall experience was great, the tour was filled with great activities, organisation was great. The volunteering was culturally enriching and being able to teach the children was a truly insightful and enjoyable experience. I loved socializing with everyone who participated and the food was decent ( good but variations would have been better). Coordinators were truly beyond amazing, they were kind, helpful, and made you feel supported and safe. Would definitely recommend the overall opportunity and experience is out of this world.

Wonderful experience to get to know others and the lovely staff and coordinators at travelteer. I wish I wouldn't stayed for a week or two longer. Xx

The people and the staff made a great experience

2 of the most enjoyable weeks of my life, would highly recommend to anyone who wants to do some good and see the world at the same time. Huge shoutout to Sean, Ethan, Liv and Hollie for creating such a welcoming and fun environment, couldn’t have asked for better co-ordinators :) will definitely be back.

I went to Sri Lanka for the marine and wildlife conservation, we planted and picked mangrove seeds, cleaned beaches and rivers, cared for and cleaned the turtles and their tanks. Overall an amazing experience, the local Sri Lankan coordinators were so lovely, especially Nurukshan who led the team of volunteers (apologies if my spelling is incorrect). Everyone was helpful, the other volunteers helped and guided the new arrivals and I created some amazing new friendships and connections. I would 100% recommend. We arrived in May which I would recommend as it gets super busy by the end of the month. Opportunities were available to do trips and activities but keep in mind you can only do these with a minimum amount of people which was not mentioned to me and my friend who went when there was less than 15 people in the villa, so we were disappointed to find that we couldn’t do the safari. This was truly something I would do again.

Amazing experience volunteering for the marine and wildlife conservation programme in Sri Lanka. The tour was also amazing as we saw so many sites, accommodation was lovely, transportation safe and food was good.

Great trip and amazing staff!

Amazing, Oscar, Klaudia, Amy, Daniel **, Laurence and Ben were amazing. Super fun to be around and made the trip fun and organised, being very useful at all times. Daniel is the most amazing photographer and captured our trip so well. He was my group leader such a positive, helpful and kind leader. He is the best! Thanks so much, amazing experience.

We did every activity in the itinerary. It has been an experience like never before. The staff are so lovely, supportive and communicative.

I volunteered with Travelteer for 6 months for my Uni placement and I am so glad that I did. Coming during September and staying during the quiet season gave me loads of opportunities to carry out my research and also try different parts of all of the programmes, not just my own. I always felt supported when it came to my research and Ruchi the manager was really helpful with giving me advice on things that I could do and ways to collect my data. All of the Sri Lankan staff are extremely welcoming and I always felt comfortable around them. The food is great with Western options for dinner every other day (sausage and mash, spag bol etc) and we get to have Sri Lankan food for lunches which was my favourite part about the food- although the menu is the same every week which can get quite repetitive if you’re here for a while. But there are so many nice restaurants and good brunch spots in town which are great for a break from the food in the villa. I absolutely loved my time in Sri Lanka and will remember it for a life time :)

Volunteering with Travelteer has been an amazing experience, being submerged in the culture of Sri Lanka while learning to care for the sea turtles as part of the Marine and Wildlife Conservation programme; the 4 months I’ve spent here have flown by!
The staff are all incredibly friendly and are fun to work with. The atmosphere is relaxed while still getting the job done, and seeing the changes we make is very rewarding.
Overall, this is a great opportunity to gain work experience and to meet like-minded people… I 100% recommend!

I had the most amazing experience in Sri Lanka with travelteer, I spent 5 weeks there and couldn’t fault it! The placement was invaluable, I was doing the medical elective and spent every morning at karapitya teaching hospital. This was an amazing experience, highlighting the difference in healthcare to the UK. I also spent time at an Ayurvedic clinic, orphanage, temple, turtle sanctuary and English village classes. Every single experience was amazing and I enjoyed every second of it. In addition all staff were absolutely amazing, couldn’t fault a single one. Big shout out to the coordinator Eddie who went above and beyond to create socials for the group and made everyone included. Couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator. Also shout out to Ruchi for running it well and anushka for driving me to karapitya every day.
