Clean & tidy & easily found Great area to spend a weekend Would definitely use again. Only problem was we could not get the TV to work. Perhaps some information on local amenities would be helpful

The elevator was broken and we weren't told. Other tenants said it was broken before the day we arrived. We had to walk up 2 flights with our luggage and no assistance. The plastic edges of the stair treads were broken, creating a tripping hazard. The window shades that were there were broken - you couldn't put them up and down, they only stayed in one position and they were frayed and stained. Some windows didn't have shades. There were only 3 small bath towels for 3 people, no other towels. The manager claimed he didn't have any more towels, which wasn't true; after I complained, he brought a few more. And a roll of paper towels and some extra toilet paper. There was no bath mat. At least he was responsive. The mattress in one room was so bad we felt the springs all night, and had to spend 65 pounds to buy a mattress topper so we could sleep without getting poked. You can barely walk around the bed in one room, which is difficult when you're a couple, and the bed platform has sharp corners. The place was fairly clean, but the kitchen faucet was covered with water spots. The listing says parking is available. It doesn't say you have to buy a permit for some days, and it's available IF you can find a parking spot on the street. Fortunately, the manager arranged for a permit for us and we paid him for it. He wasn't very nice about it, complaining that he got our car registration at the last minute. Of course he did - we hired a car at the airport so we didn't know the registration number until we got there. He knew that was going to be the situation. We have stayed in many VRBO-type places all over the US and in other countries. This is the first time a property manager has ever been rude to me and argued with me, and it is the worst place we've ever stayed. The building also has commercial tenants. Sometimes we arrived to find the downstairs door from the sidewalk open, not fully closed nor locked. Fortunately, the apartment has a strong keypad lock. I would only recommend this unit if you need a cheap place and must be in that neighborhood. Otherwise, go elsewhere!

Stayed there a few times before and it’s always perfect.

Perfect location for visiting local attractions, mainly Beamish Museum but we also managed to visit the Northumberland coast for the day which was a fairly short drive from the property. We had everything we needed at the house and at night was nice, clean and cosy to relax after visiting attractions. The host was more than helpful with any questions. Will definitely be returning in the near future now we have passes to the Beamish Museum .

We were very happy with the accommodation the only thing missing was WiFi but luckily we had friends nearby and were able to connect to their’s. Otherwise we would highly recommend it.

Only interested in the owners who advertise with them, no support or willingness to believe the customers using them. I booked a property via booking.com and only found out that travelnest operate on behalf of the owner. A 200euro damage deposit was required through bank transfer which i provided, but the owner did not receive this and refused to check with their bank their end, citing that travelnest advised them that it is the renters sole responsibility to send the deposit, even though i provided official bank documents and everything I could to prove payment was made. Eventually the owner checked with their bank and lo and behold the money was there pending on their side. 8 days and my holiday in jeopardy due to the policy of this really dodgy outfit. Lots of 1 star reviews for a reason. Usually a hold on credit card or cash deposit is the norm, not a bank transfer into an account that isn’t anything to do with them. Will check next time that they are not involved in any future bookings on any platform. A message was sent to me from the owner who received it from travelnest stating what i have noted in this review.

Good communication after booking.
Accommodation adequate for one night, one toilet roll and small amount hand wash left, dosent cost much for little toiletrie items.
Owner reply when requested to leave bag if unable to get in early was very condescending. Understand reason but could have been said better.
Clean and adequate accommodation for one night.

Cosy cottage with all amenities and lovely touches if you take dogs with all essential supplies and dog treats which were greatly appreciated. The torches were so handy and my son loved the festive hand wash. It’s the little things that made this trip an absolute joy and I am sorry I would have hoovered but could not locate a plug socket downstairs in a last minute rush to pack up and leave. Highly recommended

The apartment should have been checked before it was rented out obviously whoever looks after the apartment is not doing their job properly as the delf was dirty, there was lipstick stains on a cup in the press, the radiator in the hall did not work, the bathroom was freezing and the shower did not work
