Safari experts & storytellers. Since 1991. We craft experiential African safaris just for you, with love. Our crew of passionate safari experts have lived and worked in Africa for most of their lives. Travel in Africa is about knowing what, when and where to go and with whom – for the ultimate safari experience. A few weeks too early/late or a few kilometres off course, and you could miss the Greatest Show on Earth. And wouldn’t that be a pity? We also publish inspirational, factual conservation articles. We believe storytelling plays a pivotal role in education and in creating a more responsible future of travel within the conservation landscape. We seek to minimise the negative environmental and social impacts of travel while maximising its positive impacts. These articles keep our readers informed and inspired to join us in celebrating Africa and doing good. Over sixteen million people in the last decade have read our stories that reflect the complexity and reality of life at ground level here in Africa. And, we generate significant donations for selected conservation projects that deliver impact at the ground level. We choose each project carefully based on our assessment of its contribution to biodiversity and rural people living amongst wildlife.
I have recently returned from a visit to a wonderful lodge in the Timbavati area. My trip was organised by Stefan and Wayne at Africa Geographic and they went out of their way to make everything perfect, from the moment I arrived in Johannesburg to landing at Tanda Tula, everything went smoothly. The lodge itself was super -great game drives, lovely food and a very friendly welcome from everyone. My journey back went just as smoothly and I was even escorted through the airport to await my flight . I was treated not just professionally but as a friend, and I hope I shall be able to make use of their services again,
I must also endorse what others have said about their commitment to both conservation and community development.

The day we were leaving Christian received a phone call from our first camp telling us it was flooded and don't come!! Christian made a number of calls and managed to get us into two camps. Without his extensive network and knowledge tis would'nt have ben possible with. normalagent at such short. He saved the day! First stop was Ol Pejeta where we saw a number of rhinos including the last two remaining northern whites. Next stop was Laikipia wilderness camp which we had visited 3 years ago. We had seen Giza, the black leopard, but only at night. This time we saw her during the day also. We also saw 10 different leopards during the 4 night stay. It was my first time seeing wild dogs swimming; accross the river. Next we went to Oltepesi in the Mara. Due to the heavy rains we were limited to the areas we could access. However, we got good sightings including a failed attempt by lions hunting a buffalo and lion cubs jumping across a river. The final stop was Saruni camp in the Naboisho conservancy. Notable sightings included newly born giraffe and buffalo. Considering the fact we had rain every day it was still a great trip. It could have been a disastrous start but Christian rescued it.

We contacted African geographic about a year and a half ago we were connected to Stefan who brought in his colleague Wayne to help us plan the trip. we had a zoom meeting to give them our thoughts and ideas allowing them to plan what I would call the perfect experience based on what we said we wanted. All 3 of the camps were incredible. Everything was seamless , professional and prompt. We went to South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. We went on multiple game drives, which were thrilling, boat rides and fishing in the Delta, we saw Victoria Falls from a helicopter, and in my opinion, treated like royalty at every turn. If you have the opportunity to experience what this country has to offer do yourself a favor and take it. And let Africa Geographic guide you, you will not be sorry.

Africa Geographic was amazing to work with. They tailored a trip specifically for us based on our wants and needs. They take the time to listen to you and understand what you are looking for from this sometimes once in a lifetime experience. They are professional, courteous, friendly and with you every step of the way. Their job does not end until you are home. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

Amazing Adventure made possible by Africa Geographic. Stef and Wayne and the rest of the team helped us realize our dream of an African Safari. Our guides Julius, Kaseem and John shared their vast knowledge of the wildlife and habitats. Such beautiful things we saw, memories to be shared and cherished. We can't recommend Africa Geographic highly enough.
We booked our honeymoon safari with Africa Geographic, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable trips of our lives. From the very first call, the experience felt personal and thoughtfully designed. Stefan took the time to understand what we enjoyed, what we hoped to experience, and even what pace suited us — before suggesting any destination. Based on that conversation, he recommended Tanzania, and the itinerary he built for us was beautifully balanced and perfectly aligned with what we wanted.
The logistics were seamless thanks to Wayne, who handled every detail behind the scenes. Transfers, timings, internal flights — everything worked smoothly, and we always felt supported.
The safari itself was extraordinary. Each place we stayed had its own atmosphere and purpose, and the flow of the trip was perfect: Kilimanjaro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Olduvai, Ndutu, and the Serengeti. We had so many highlights — a night game drive where the spotter found a camouflaged chameleon in the dark, the breathtaking views from Maweninga Camp, the huge elephant herds of Tarangire, the surreal beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater, seeing a leopard up close, witnessing a wildebeest river crossing, visiting Olduvai Gorge, and even having elephants walk right up to our tent in the Serengeti.
A special mention goes to Edward from Tanganyika Expeditions, our guide for the entire journey. He was exceptional — knowledgeable, patient, kind, and incredibly attentive. He explained wildlife behaviour, helped us understand the differences between species, and always made sure we were comfortable and safe. His presence elevated the entire experience.
There were a couple of small things that could be improved, but they didn’t overshadow the overall trip. The journey as a whole was beautifully organised, emotionally rich, and full of unforgettable moments.
We are deeply grateful to Stefan, Wayne, and Edward for creating a honeymoon we will remember forever. We would recommend Africa Geographic without hesitation to anyone looking for a safari that is personal, well‑designed, and truly special.

AG organized an outstanding East African experience for me, my wife, and two friends. They set us up with great guides, lovely accommodations, and most importantly, incredible natural history experiences. Seamless travel. And when we wanted to make a last minute change, they were right there to timely accommodate us. 6/5 rating!

I wanted to celebrate an important birthday and asked AG to come up with an itinerary within a specific budget. They came up with a superb itinerary that meant we were looked after completely in three very different destinations with transfers, tours and accommodation. It was outstanding. They are worthy of trust and will not let you down.

Trip to Kenya was planned and executed to perfection by Christian and Africa Geographic. Enkewa Camp, Masai Mara, exceeded all our expectations. Comfortable and clean. Excellent food and service. Game viewing was superb. The camp Manager, Nando, went over and above the call of duty to make our stay comfortable and special. Many thanks to him, Nico, Caleb, Joseph and all the staff.Would love to go back.

Unfortunately due to no fault only Mother Nature thr safari we had booked with Christian ant Africa Geographic had to be cancelled . Christian’s handling of it was excellent in every respect and we got the refund quickly.
My sister uses the company quite often and I would certainly recommend them as competent and trustworthy .

Alison Nicholls, artist (!) and Africa Geographic created and curated the trip of a lifetime: an art safari with 4 other artists. We were up close (very close...) with the real world of African bush experiences in Timbavati reserve in South Africa, next door to Hwange National park of Zimbabwe, and then on to Chobe National park to float about on the river, facing the gigantic crocodiles, elephants and rhinos, and the thousands of birds. There was so much to experience, so much to learn. The guides and drivers were all so full of experience and ideas and information and they each had the ability to find the most amazing up close adventures. Being with Alison Nicholls to focus our artistic abilities with observing and sketching and some painting, well, all I can say is the only way to travel is with artists...and Alison is the best!

The communication with Christian during booking was excellent. Everything I wanted to do was discussed and added to the itinerary if possible. At destination everything was taken care of, so I could enjoy my holiday.

We went on a 6 day flight Safari to the sossusvlei Area and Skelleton Coast. Everything was well organized by Christian from Africa Geographic. The lodges were wonderfull and the whole journey was a great experience. Ir was amazing to see desert adapted elefants and to have a hot-air ballon drive over the Namib dessert.

I have been on 3 African safaris this year; this one though Africa Geographic at Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp, at Maasai Mara, was BY FAR the best. I was attracted to this safari, knowing of the work of award-winning photographer, Arnfinn Johansen and that it is specific to serious photographers. I was told to prepare to be on the road for 13 hours a day, often waiting long periods of time to achieve just the right shot. And, indeed, it was exactly that! Perhaps you know of the network of Maasai tribe drivers at the Mara. Camp Oltepesi has drivers from the tribe who are in constant contact with each other. Knowing the terrain like the back of his hand, our driver, John, flew off-road at top speed to a leopard in the tree that awakened and began a hunt, to a lioness bringing a kill to her playful cubs, and several hunts. We experienced the joyful reunion of two sister lionesses and cubs. Throughout, Arnfinn was readily available to share his valuable expertise. He has set the tone for the lodge, and his respect for the Maasai people is obvious. The staff is treated as family and those at the lodge are considered guests in their home. Importantly, the Camp engages in philanthropic support of the local Maasai village. This African expedition has my unqualified, strongest possible recommendation.

A top company to help organise and arrange your perfect safari trip. Benjamin was extremely helpful in tailoring our experience exactly how we wanted it, from the initial conversations, to suggested changes, to the organisation whilst on the trip. I would throroughly reccomend Africa Geographic, if you want peace of mine for your perfect once in a lifetime trip then this is the company for you. Will definitely be recommending them and using them again if and when we visit Africa!

WOW - if you have the opportunity to do this experience, DO IT!! It was an experience of a lifetime. It is a LONG drive but I would do the Silverbacks in Uganda. They are in their more natural environment. I was extremely nervous to visit the gorillas. But, once it was over, I am so glad I did it. Africa Geographic was amazing to work with from start to finish. Answered all our questions.

We have just returned from a trip to Malawi, with Africa Geographic doing all of the hard work. For previous trips to Africa I have organised everything myself, but having experienced how smooth and comprehensive someone else can be I will now use Africa Geographic for all future trips.
Illness meant that we had to postpone the trip earlier this year, but Africa Geographic moved everything forward, and with a few tweaks presented us with a magnificent set of experiences.
All travel links were set up with Ulendo, and their driver was excellent throughout. The accommodation was good, with great food and service. The Malawi people that we met were all very welcoming, and it was a marvellous experience to be in their country.
I strongly recommend Africa Geographic. They were checking on us all the way through the trip, but their organisation meant that we were trouble-free, and very happy.

First Safari Experience
This safari has been an outstanding discovery; we genuinely saw and learned about animals and birds in the wild for the first time. The organization, the guides, and the lodges were excellent. We have no words to describe it. Our guides, David and Rogers were really good; my husband said that Rogers was like “the Messi of safaris.” The staff was very attentive and kind all the time. The staff at Roho ya Selous prepared a surprise party for our wedding anniversary which was delightful and deeply emotional. We cried a lot when all the members of the staff at Jabali Ridge sang and danced for us on our last day. It was amazing!
Congratulations on being so efficient.
