It's been weeks I am trying to release my cover.
I don't know why, but they are so slow at answering to tickets.

Was good at first but support has gone downhill as of late

Impossible to get music accepted and their support ist nonexistent.
I tried uploading a new ep earlier this month. I added a list of the FL Studio samples I used. Then the rejected the release, asking for proof of copyright. I told them again: here are the samples I used, what do you need besides that? I can send you invoices, project files, anything just tell me what you need.
After a week of waiting they closed the ticket with a copy and paste reply that says: Please provide us with documentation that proves you own the rights to this release. For more information, please review this article:
I DID THAT AND YOU DID NOT WANT IT!

They rejected our music multiple times without giving any clear or usable reason. No detailed feedback, no specific policy reference, nothing. Just vague responses and generic phrases.
As artists, we’re expected to fix problems — but how are we supposed to do that when they don’t even explain what the problem is? Every rejection feels arbitrary, like decisions are made behind closed doors and artists are left guessing.
Support responses are slow and clearly copy-pasted. There is no real communication, no accountability, and no respect for the artist’s time or effort.
If you’re going to reject music, at least have the professionalism to explain why. Transparency should be the bare minimum for any distribution service.

I've been trying to reach Toolost via email about a recurring subscription issue, but I'm not getting any response.
I've attempted to subscribe to the label plan three times. Each time, their system charges my card and then claims it “was unable to charge your card”, even though the money is deducted from my account. My bank statements clearly show three separate charges, none of which were refunded.
I've repeatedly asked if they could simply apply the label plan using the royalties already in my account, but I've received no helpful reply. At this point, it feels deliberate, and I'm tired of sending emails that go unanswered.
The only response I've gotten was:
“Hello there,
It appears that this subscription charge failed due to insufficient funds.
You will need to resubscribe in order to access your account.
Best,”
I immediately replied with my bank statement showing the successful transactions, but they stopped responding after that.

My releases were fine to begin with but recently they are all getting rejected so I can’t make any releases, all the tracks are my own work with artists , no samples and the instrumentals have been previously released on too lost with no issues

Worst distribution company there is. STAY AWAY. You're better off posting on quitting music then using them. 10 days for a support ticket response. Use United Masters, Distro, Tunecore...even Soundcloud. BUT STAY AWAY FROM TOOLOST
And they'll probably respond to this review with the same crap they respond to everyone else with
"You can get in touch with our support team anytime at toolost .com/ support or by contacting us at support@ toolost.com"
Like 90% of the negative reviews that are being left aren't about how bad support is
TRASH COMPANY. TRASH SUPPORT.

I opened a support ticket with Too Lost on June 6, 2025, due to a serious discrepancy between platform performance and the royalties actually paid. For six months, I was repeatedly told that my case was “under investigation,” yet no concrete analysis, detailed report, or proof was ever provided.
After waiting half a year for a real answer, I received the exact same generic response that was sent when the ticket was first opened. The message claimed that digital service providers process payments with a 4 to 6 month delay and that “all earnings have already been properly credited.”
This explanation does not align with the actual data.
TikTok – Plays:
June/2025: 4,408,515
May/2025: 6,268,133
April/2025: 8,401,491

September/2024: 129,604
August/2024: 29,592
Total received from TikTok: USD 177.81
Meta – Uses:
June/2025: 10,465,468
May/2025: 10,605,734
April/2025: 7,825,904
March/2025: 7,009,488
February/2025: 5,431,749
January/2025: 8,047,983
December/2024: 4,746,845
November/2024: 5,810,872
October/2024: 1,761,027
September/2024: 53,708
August/2024: 7,828
Total received from Meta: USD 82.59
All of these figures relate to periods well beyond the 4–6 month window cited by Too Lost. We are talking about tens of millions of plays and uses, resulting in extremely low payouts with no reasonable proportionality or transparent explanation.
I clearly pointed this out in my replies. Instead of properly addressing the issue, Too Lost simply closed my ticket without responding. No breakdown. No clarification. No evidence. Just a closure message stating that I could open another ticket if needed.
I opened a second ticket raising the same concern, and the same thing happened again: after a few days, the ticket was closed by their team without any meaningful response.
This is not transparency. This is not support.
Closing tickets without answering after months of waiting is deeply unprofessional and raises serious concerns about royalty reporting and accountability.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Too Lost to any artist who values clear communication, fair reporting, and basic respect.

While the pricing is excellent and the platform UI/UX is strong, I’ve experienced several issues that impacted my confidence in the service.
Since joining, I went from having 55 tracks in Spotify for Artists’ Discovery Mode down to zero, despite having solid performance over the last 12 months — including 21,586 listeners and 38,712 streams from Spotify Radio across ten songs. This drop has been frustrating and unexpected.
I’ve also encountered uploading and delivery hiccups, and editing songs or releases isn’t as smooth or intuitive as it is on other distribution platforms.
There’s a lot of potential here — especially with the pricing — but reliability and backend functionality need improvement.

I had no problems with toolost up until the fall season, when my releases (both edited and reuploaded for corrections' sake because they said to) started getting a "needs documentation" notice, and it was consistent every single time. I used the same UPCs, ISRCs, and did everything by the book, and still got hit with the notices. It was because of this that I switched over to IndieMassive. Mind you, I do not create AI music, this is all out of thin air.
TooLost at first was great, but I am not certain what happened. Support has been minimal, and my needs were not fulfilled.
Slight edit, I was worried about royalties not being paid. Luckily they did pay. Updated to 3 stars.

Beginning to get the proper return on my music!
Finally, paid my royalties, very easily!

While the overall functionality of TooLost was great (uploads, analytics, etc.) the support was underwhelming. There were numerous times I reached out with an issue only to get a copy-pasted response that didn’t directly address my issue. Additionally there were, what I believe to be, issues with their royalty payouts. I used TooLost for multiple years in tandem with another distributor. In those years I received a total payout that was roughly 10% of what I was paid using the other distributor, even though the streams and sales were comparable across the numerous releases. I personally believe there is an issue with their payouts, not necessarily something malicious, but definitely an error somewhere.

Blocks any music created with AI. Useless and do not recommend. Try Distrokid instead.
