Just underwhelmed by customer service

Just underwhelmed by customer service. They do well in helping you out in finding things etc, but I have a pair of trousers that have torn at a pocket seam after 3 months of owning. They’ve said they’ll inspect them and maybe refund if they’re found to be at fault… not sure who else could have been at fault… are the pockets not meant to be used?

Additionally (and more to the point of my feeling underwhelmed) I’ve explained that I originally ordered two pairs in the same size, one black one brown, and that despite being the “same size” the brown fit beautifully and the black didn’t. Couple of cm difference in them. I asked if toast found themselves to be at fault after their investigations if I could have the trousers back, or if I could be helped finding a pair with the same fit. This was ignored, and I was told either I could return them or not. Sigh. The trousers are £145, not cheap. But beloved. Other companies just feel so much more generous in their customer care.

But still no comment in if I could have the faulty trousers back (if toast’s internal investigations find themselves to be at fault) so I could at least mend them and keep wearing.

Have had to resort to buying three pairs of the same piece on my credit card before returning the pocket ripped pair in the hopes that one of them is the same size, as toast are unable to do this themselves…? Just a weird onus to put on the customer.

When an item develops damage, we do ask to inspect it first so that we can determine whether the issue is due to a manufacturing fault or an external factor. If we identify a manufacturing fault, we need to raise this with our supplier to ensure the issue is addressed and prevented going forward. We appreciate that this can feel disheartening when you believe the issue is quality‑related, and we want to reassure you that if our inspection confirms a manufacturing fault, we will of course arrange a full refund.

Regarding the difference in fit between the two pairs: all TOAST garments allow for a tolerance of 1–3cm, and this can mean that repeated styles may not fit exactly the same from season to season. Because of this natural variation, we’re unable to measure multiple items to match an exact fit unless the measurements fall outside that tolerance. We understand this isn’t always the answer hoped for, especially when you are trying to replace a much‑loved piece, however if you do live locally to one of our TOAST stores, you can pop in to try the style on.

We are sorry again for any disappointment caused and appreciate you sharing your experience as it helps us improve the service we offer.

I placed an order

I placed an order. I received an email stating my order had been processed and was on its way. When It arrived 3/4 of the order was missing. I was told this was Human Error and now the items were out of stock.
Offered a refund. Not the outcome I had hoped for

Great Clothing - Very Poor Shipping

Great Clothing - Dreadful Shipping Service.

I’ve had a few issues over the last couple of years with Toast shipping. Even using next day, items arrive late.

This time, after spending £400 in the sale, I’ve now been waiting for 6 days for delivery, and the Royal Mail update is that the delivery is due to commence on Day 7. So - late for a birthday.

7 days - really Toast? And using the excuse ‘it’s a bit busy due to the sale’ - it’s simply not acceptable. 7 days to delivery, using Royal Mail 48hr in 2026 - how on earth did you manage this one?

Again - great clothes, but the warehouse SOP needs a rewrite.

* as an update to the reply from Toast. Notice of dispatch (48hr delivery), was received at 16.58, 25.03.26. Royal Mail did not receive the parcel until the morning of 26.03.26, and it’s still in South Wales. So - not 24hr as stated below, and most certainly would not have been delivered to me by 26.03.26.

We can see that your tracking has now updated to advise: “As requested, if no one’s home, we’ll deliver your item to your chosen Safeplace on 28‑03‑2026. We’ll let you know when it’s delivered.”

I’ve taken a look into your order, and I can see it was placed on the 21st with our standard delivery service of 3–4 working days. Our warehouse dispatched it on the 25th, and due to the weekend, this unfortunately took a little longer than expected as it is not considered a working day. Your parcel was dispatched via Royal Mail 24‑hour delivery, so we would have expected it to reach you on the 26th.

We will reach out to you directly to check whether your order has now arrived. If not, we can look into this further with you and investigate the delay with Royal Mail.

I completely understand how frustrating this experience has been, especially when you were relying on your order arriving in time for a birthday. While we’re glad to hear you love our clothing, I’m truly sorry that the shipping service has let you down on this occasion.

Dreadful customer service

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Toast. I had ordered the wrong size of a skirt, and within 30 minutes realised and contacted Toast to change to a different size. Toast responded by stating they could not change the order. The order cannot have been processed in the time between me placing the order and emailing Toast. This is terrible customer service.

Not compliant with EU customer protection laws

I've been a Toast customer for years. It's one of the very few brands I order from without thinking twice. I love the quality, the feel of everything, the attention to detail. The customer service experience doesn't always match the brand quality, but mostly was able to get help after a few days.

Clueless person in the chat just lying…

Clueless person in the chat just lying to me to try and keep me quiet and move on to their next customer. Worst experience I’ve had with toast so far and I’ve been a customer for a long time. I fell in love with one particular dress among all the elegant clothes. However when I tried to make my online purchase, from Greece, I had a problem with the checkout.
