I love almost all the pieces I order from Toast, lovely quality. And when I don’t, I send it back and immediately receive a refund. Men’s pieces especially beautiful.
I visited Toast in Cambridge yesterday and bought three items. The service from the wonderful person in the shop was second to none . She has a real personal touch and could not do enough to help me. I have always loved Toast clothing and is is one of only about three brands I generally buy. I love the earthy colours and have found the quality of the clothes excellent. I am still wearing a tweed coat I bought years ago and it is still giving me pleasure and getting me compliments. But in this instance it was the kindness of you staff that struck me as outstanding.
Purchased a new dressing gown, and the quality is amazing, true to size, pricey but worth every penny.
Soft but strong cotton, lined and keeps you toast(y) excuse the pun!
I’m a 12 a14 and order the XL as I like oversized, it’s perfect, I’m 5.6, and hit’s my ankles.
Bought a twill duffle coat on sale earlier this year at £325. Used it this winter and it’s terrible. For such a heavy coat it’s very cold and not water resistant at all. If you wear in the slightest shower, you get absolutely soaked and the coat becomes unbearably heavy. Lining is all watermarked. Even at the sale price this was expensive for me and I’m very disappointed. More warmth in a cardigan.

Ordered a lovely set of Moira prints but received a scarf instead. Notified Toast of their mistake. Toast sent a request for payment in order to buy the Moira prints again for them to send them out, while saying they would refund me when they got the scarf. Sent the scarf back and got notified of the refund...which never came. Emailed again 10 days later to be told the refund was never processed. They then proceeded to refund only the price of the prints and not the shipping (after making the mistake of only refunding a small amount). A very draining experience! I won't be ordering the prints which is a shame because they're exclusive to their website.

If I could leave a zero star rating, I would. I was given a Toast Gift Voucher, which I attempted to redeem against an online purchase. The voucher code wasn't accepted at the checkout, and so began a lengthy exchange of emails with Toast Customer Services. Despite the fact that Toast should be able to check its records to validate the voucher code, I was required to send photos of the gift card, and screenshot my checkout screen. Toast said the code was working when they put it into their system, which was of no consolation when repeatedly attempting to input the code in the format they sent, only to have it rejected again. Months on, the voucher will shortly expire and Toast will keep the money, leaving me to believe that as long as they have the cash, the customer is irrelevant. I'm frankly appalled - for a brand which trades as a 'high end' experience, this has been disappointing, frustrating and sub-standard at every stage.

I have loved Toast clothes and been a loyal customer for years, sizes were forgiving and quality generally good, but lately some of the quality hasn’t been quite up to scratch. I forgave this because I loved the designs, but I’ve recently put on weight and the new sizing structure means I would need to buy an XL - way to go to make me feel great about myself ! … and since when is a size 12 woman Large ?! Not impressed Toast

If you are ordering from the US beware of duty fees that you will need to pay mid shipping. On their site they say all duty fees will be present at checkout. This is incorrect. I received a msg from DHL days after my order left the warehouse saying I had to pay $70 if I wanted the package. I reached out to TOAST and they said I would have to pay it, and directed me to the page that stated there may be duty fees and they will be shown at checkout. I called this out to them that it wasn't shown at checkout, and had I known I would not have placed the order. They were unwilling to help. I would not give them your business.

just had a really great experience with the kids and grandchild. The team I sudbury always goes above and beyond even when they are extremely busy. Won't use another coffee shop in town. We'll done Sudbury Toast
Dreadful. I buy quite alot from Toast, and recently bought an exceptionally expensive mariner jumper in Cashmere (215.00) which I had had my eye on for a while. I wore it four times, each time for less than a full day, and the pilling on it is unbelievable. I sent photos to Toast which truly show the extent of the damage, and they helpfully suggested depilling it, which doesn't result in a nice looking jumper, ever, and encourages holes. And before they come back to me I have a professional depilling stone. Shocking response - basically this jumper has cost me about 65.00 per wear and by the final wear I looked like Miss Tatty. It will only be used to go to the gym and in the garden. Poor quality, abysmal response from customer service. I would have happily given it back and had a credit note, I'm not expecting a full refund after I've worn it, but this was a shocker. Not buying again, and do be careful. There are other similar reports on here about pilling.

I recently bought a russet wool and cashmere sweater costing £140. It is lovely and soft but I have worn it only a few times and it looks really old already due to the excessive pilling. I expect some pilling in wool/cashmere but not to this extent. I have cheaper jumpers that have not done the same. Very poor quality and not worth the money. Shame as I have bought quite a few Toast pieces which are not cheap but have always previously been good quality.

The staff at Cheltenham could not have been more patient or helpful during a recent visit. On this occasion, after trying on several pairs of trousers, I left without making a purchase, but much wiser about what current styles simply do not suit my shape. The staff are knowledgeable and totally understood my problems, I look forward to my next visit and their guidance. Thank you everyone.
Purchased and paid for top on- line, payment went through then…..hey-presto, item out of stock. Rang to enquire what had happened, told out of stock and card would be reimbursed. 1) disappointed about not receiving top I was looking forward to 2) taking payment for nothing!! No way to run a business! I’m 82, love all my Toast clothes and this is my first complaint.

I shop in York’s tiny store, lovely staff who greet me like an old friend and always so helpful. I love so many of the clothes but tailor my purchases as items are relatively expensive though Ive never regretted a buy yet. Returns are easy and refunds quick in my experience. I used to find the reviews on the website really helpful for sizing and styling ideas. I wonder why they’ve disappeared as I still get requests for feedback? Please bring them back!
Rarely do I leave feedback on any business but I felt compelled to in this instance as I think the rating on Toast is extremely undeserved. I have been a Toast fan & customer for years and have to say that I love their aesthetic and the products they sell. They are a stand out amongst shops that follow whatever trends are prevalent. These are clothes for people who don't follow the masses. The fabrics, the style, cut, form, the colour palette and their commitment to longevity of their items are just some of the reasons I keep going back. I have items in my wardrobe that have stood the test of time and fickle fashion. I only wish I could afford to buy more from them because my wardrobe would be continually updated!
Too many items made in China racking up carbon emissions and air miles whilst the UK consumer pays the price...£169 for a pair of cords made in China or how about a Donegal jumper knitted in...Romania. Stop greenwashing. As for your 'Toast Community in which you expect people to hand back their garments for free so you can resell them at a premium! Please! Seriously? Stop taking your customers as fools. This service means that a garment travels TWICE. Why not allow your 'community' to sell 1-2-1 without YOUR premium price structure. This would cut emissions and cost and give something back to your 'community' ..cuts you out of the deal but that's ok for the sake of the landfill exclusion and the climate right? Return your manufacturing base to Europe and if peddling a Donegal cardigan at least have Irish knitters to make them you're charging enough. In fact return all of your making to the British Isles and stop selling a middle class Outer Hebrides lifestyle when actually you are taking advantage of cheap Chinese labour. Not cool. Consumers: I invite you to read the product info before ordering ANYTHING from Toast.

Leaving this review as I'm quite shocked and surprised by all the negative feedback here so redressing the balance a little! I have been a Toast customer for at least 15 years and I can honestly say that I have never had one negative interaction with them - either when shopping online or instore. Their clothes are high quality and 'different' and I love wearing them...they make me feel special and I invariably receive compliments too. I find that they often go above and beyond with their customer service - for example, the lovely staff in the Marylebone branch will contact me if something I have expressed an interest in comes into stock there. The lack of packaging when purchasing online is, in my eyes, an advantage. I get fed up with companies over-packaging in layers of tissue and cardboard and appreciate the simple (and re-useable) paper envelope approach of Toast. I love their clothes, their homewares, their wonderful website with its brilliant online magazine, the events they organise, the Toast Circle initiative and their FREE repair service (seriously, how many clothing companies do this? Thankfully I have seen a few others now following their lead...) They will have me as a satisfied and loyal customer for as long as they continue.

The Boy Tee products have had their sizing changed with the result that M has lost its shape. Instead of the Boxey cut it is now too tight. It has lost its chic
I bought for my partner
I’ve had a minor problem with my online summer sale shopping caused by me. When I asked for some advice , I got a prompt response via email and all of the people who dealt with me were very helpful. As well as the lovely products, I was so impressed with the customer service :-) thank you.
