My local, Samsung authorised repair centre at EE said warrenty wouldn't cover my LED issue so wanted to charge me £700+ to repair the whole phone instead. I went through Samsung Support and they then... See more

Smartphone collected assessed and returned quickly. All communicated by email and text plus a follow call up by service agent. I reported a screen anomaly, engineer tested and inspected device. Anomaly not effecting the operation of the device. Screen protector replaced. Follow up call was very helpful as Samsung customer services couldn't explain engineers assessment or findings.

Avoid TMT at all costs. This is my second poor experience with them (I should have known better after the first visit 2 years ago)...strap in for a familiar story to all the other 1 star reviews here!
So...I have a Samsung fold 7 with a failed internal hinge, less than 1 year old....literally failed before my eyes as I opened it one day. Took it in to TMT and within 30 seconds they said it won't be covered under warranty due to evidence of drop damage and track marks. Note the phone is kept in a samsung official case - no front screen glass damage, no back plate glass damage, near perfect apart from 2 small paint chips because its ya know...painted metal.
So lets address their first point - the "drop damage" as they called it was 2 small paint chips on two different edges of the front cover (Samsung no longer sell provide the front piece with their official covers-the irony so the front will get exposed). The employee said these paint chips were "dents" in the phone and that means I could have dropped it. When I clearly mentioned that the glass would smash if it had been dropped and then mentioned fair usage/wear&tear she just shrugged her shoulders.
Point 2 - "track marks" on the inner screen. Anyone who's familiar with folding phones knows, the inner glass is essentially a hard plastic, prone to picking up dinks and dents from dust, sand...if you put your finger nail on it, it will dent. The employee pointed to two pinhole sized dents on opposite corners and said that I've trapped something when closing the phone, causing the mechanism to break....yup, that's right. Imagine a scenario where at best a grain of sand or lint could break the inner screen. Note her mention of these track marks being at the far edges and my statement that its the middle hinge...this didn't seem to matter.
When I asked her what caused the failure - a drop that never happened or me sticking what I can only imagine is the world's smallest, yet most deadliest spec of dust into the phone, again she just said there was nothing they can do and that Samsung won't honour the warranty. They wanted to charge me over £500 for a repair. I laughed, politely declined and left.
TMT pulled a similar stunt with a Fold 3 a couple of years back, declining a warranty claim with a bleed on the front screen due to a scratch on the back. Essentially TMT will try to find any small evidence to not honour the warranty on these devices, always insinuating that the device could have been dropped.
I advise anyone to go straight through Samsung's complaint services and escalate...though they too will have you jumping through hoops for weeks hoping you will give up.

Sent back first time and it was not repaired, it then took contacting samsung 8 times and 4 hours to get them to accept a return to repair the watch because basically because the first engineer claimed it was not faulty I am a liar. Now it's been returned and the battery replaced it works great but this should have happened on the first time it was sent back.
