Beware the return policy! I ordered glasses from Tijn during their buy 3, get 30% off sale. I had bought a pair from them many years ago without any problems, so I decided to give them another try. I ordered two pairs of glasses and a pair of snap-on sunglasses. When they arrived, something didn't feel right, and I noticed they had sent me two different prescriptions. On further inspection, I realized the incorrect pair had been made with my old prescription, which was saved in their system from my first order. I cannot tell you exactly where this mistake happened, but I can tell you that I looked over and double-checked my order before hitting submit.
When I contacted customer service, they pointed me to their return policy, which states that to get a full refund you simply have to send the glasses back to China within 30 days. I looked up the cost and found it would run me upwards of $60 to return them within the time frame, which is roughly what I paid for the glasses. The customer service representative, Cyril, offered me 80% off a new frame or a partial refund with no return required. I thought 80% off sounded like a fair deal, putting my replacement cost around $20 to $30, so I accepted. I then found out he meant 80% of the sale price I had paid, not the retail value, which came out to only $40 off. That put the replacement cost higher than what I originally paid for the mistake pair. I did not enter my old prescription, so why should I pay more to have their mistake corrected? And nowhere in this offer were the snap-on sunglasses addressed, which are now useless to me since they only fit the incorrect pair.
In the meantime, I had been wearing the pair I believed was correct while going back and forth with Cyril, who typically took several days to respond. From the start, that pair caused me ear pain, but I assumed my ears just needed time to adjust. The pain never improved, and I began experiencing eye strain and headaches as well. I could not wear them for more than an hour or two before they became unbearable. As a grad student who also works remotely, I spend large portions of my day at a computer, so this was a serious problem.
I emailed Cyril again to let him know the correct pair was also causing significant pain, but by that point, he was done negotiating. The offer was $40 off a new pair, $25 back, or nothing at all. I sent several more emails, none of which received a response. I also brought both pairs to an eye doctor, who confirmed that my prescription was not quite right on the pair I believed was correct, and that the frames could not be adjusted to correct the painful fit. I now have two pairs of glasses and a pair of snap-on sunglasses that are completely unusable, and my return window has closed.
So beware if you order from this company. If a mistake is made, they will not fix it, and once they decide you are not worth responding to, you will be left with no recourse but to dispute through PayPal.

I ordered a pair of prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses on the 11th day of the month. It’s almost 2 months from that day and the product is still only in transit. They have been all around China according to the tracking. Very disappointed and will never order from them again.

I ordered glasses and they arrived so crooked I cannot wear them. I ordered a chain to go with my glasses and the glasses constantly slip out of the chain. Both products were defective and when I tried to request repair or refund, the company stopped responding to my emails.

I used to be very loyal to TIJN - I had purchased my glasses from them every year for at least 5 years. But most recently, I ordered a pair of the tica lens. It took double to time for delivery, which I could handle but when they arrived, they were terribly made. Extremely tight on my face and breakable plastic. I contacted customer service, who used to be quick and attentive, are now horrible. I have been waiting since November for a refund that I do not think I will be getting. I DO NOT suggest buying from them.

The delivery was ok, but the prescription of my glasses is not correct. I've written them on October 16th about it. It's 3 months later now, and still no message.
They wrote the following in the confirmation mail when I messaged them about my problem:

This basically puts me in wait mode for 3 months now and I don't want to write again to not get pushed further back in line. I ordered those glasses for a reason. It is very annoying to not hear from them for so long.
I stick to 2 stars since I still have hope to hear from them. Maybe here instead of per mail?
I ordered 2 pairs of glasses: one prescription pair, and one non prescription pair. The prescription pair came faulty as one of the arms was bent and very stiff and one of the lenses was very distorted so not done correctly so I emailed them as soon as i got the order in JULY and they responded at first saying sorry they would like to offer me a new pair at no cost. I responded and asked what would happen if the lense had an issue again they then didnt respond so i emailed AGAIN to ask for a refund as id waited for a response and not gotten one, yet again no reply. I am fed up of waiting it’s been months and i’m yet to get a refund or any reply.
These feel high-end despite the low price. Lenses are crisp, frame is comfortable and flattering. I’ll be buying more.
