First time with company and Ali Shan tea
Presentation is good with it's own caddy which is nice. The tea is not as ready to be infused as some I've had, but it's flavour was delicious despite the wait. Perhaps try a different infuser next time.

Because our Ali Shan tea leaves are tightly rolled into pellets, traditional for high mountain Jin Xuan Oolongs, they do take a little extra time to slowly unfurl and release their full, buttery sweetness and apricot notes.
Your idea to experiment with a different infuser is spot on! For tightly rolled leaves, we highly recommend using a spacious infuser basket or a teapot, rather than a small tea ball. Giving the leaves plenty of room to expand allows the water to circulate freely, which should help speed up the infusion process and deliver that exquisite flavour even faster.

I was having Pu err in France and I found very difficult to have it here . I have both the block and the loose one and I do not want any other tea now, apart from herbal teas.It is not just the flavour. I'm delighted with my purchases - high quality products (teapot & tea). As a newbie to leaf tea, I really appreciated the descriptions of the flavours. The Golden London breakfast tea has quickly become a firm favourite. Delivery was punctual and well packaged. An unexpected bonus was the free pack of watermelon and strawberry teabags which I didn't expect to enjoy (fruit teas offer a lot more than they deliver in my experience!) but they are delicious! We've thoroughly enjoyed them over ice in the hot weather.
