Great experience purchased for my sister’s birthday.
The explanation of the top, middle and bottom notes was very interesting and we thoroughly enjoyed designing our bespoke fragrances
Really good value and brillant fun .

A group of 14 of us has the Gold experience, we found the session incredibly interesting and a lot of fun. Sylvia was a great host, giving us time in between sections to consider our choices and give our noses a break! Coffee beans were supplied to refresh the senses. Thoroughly recommend - I chose my own venue at a local afternoon tea cafe which was preferable to the options given to me by Perfume Studio. This didn't impact the cost of the session so I recommend people shopping around for a venue.

Great fun , an entertaining and informative couple of hours . Very well run event. Clear expectations about what was going to be covered , how long it would take and what you would walk with - your very own fragrance . No pressure , we were encouraged to take out time to get to the result we wanted . Definitely recommend it

We had a buy a gift from our daughter. The session was very intense. It was difficult to choose the right smell to make a successful perfume in the time allowed. A break after explanation of the different smells at each level would have been helpful. There was a bar at the hotel to enable participants to buy a drink to refresh, before choosing the correct collection of smells to make their personal perfume/aftershave. It felt like the hosts were in a rush. It was interesting to explore the different smells.

It was a great, relaxed & fun atmosphere and the host was very welcoming, and most importantly, knowledgeable. Being able to take away your own custom fragrance at the end is a great memento of a very good experience.

Edit - Just to note that following my review I was contacted by a member of the team, who was very apologetic regarding our experience and lack of response. Victoria reassured me that the issues would be taken up internally and offered us a complimentary perfume each (the ones we made at our session), which was very kind and much appreciated :)

We really enjoyed the perfume experience. It was a 70th birthday present for my mum and she had a great time. The host was engaging and it was a fun and interesting afternoon. The perfume and bottle choices were really nice. Unfortunately, the afternoon was spoilt by the experience we had at the included afternoon tea at the Courthouse hotel, they didn't seem to be expecting us, as it was later in the afternoon it seemed to be an issue that they provided the afternoon tea and told us no tables were available even though people came in after us without a reservation and were seated in the main section (we were squeezed into the corner). Really took the shine off the day for us, we ate quickly and left disappointed. I sent an email complaint to Perfume Studio on the day (as this is sold as a package) and another as had no response but still haven't heard anything back, which is also disappointing and has let the whole experience down for us.

I really loved it, took my niece and was really surprised that our perfumes' turned out really well and how quick the time went, would have been good to have more time choose as then we could have chosen some more blends

I had no clue about what makes a great perfume before going to this event! Learnt about the base, middle and top notes. It was fun smelling the array of scents and working out my own perfume. It was a fun present from a friend. Thank you!

My niece purchased this for me as a birthday gift. It was very well run and presented but at the same time totally relaxed, no pressure. More difficult than I thought choosing but worthwhile. Great way to spend a couple of hours, bit different.

Jax bubbly nature made the experience enjoyable.
Some in depth explantations could have been a little slower & would've liked to have mixed my own perfume in the bottle. Would still recommend though

A really great 2 hour experience learning the art of perfume making with the experts.
There were a real mix of different ages, both male and female doing this class which shows the appeal. It was both fun, educational and I really like the perfume I created. Have already recommended this to other friends.

This was an interesting experience, designing your own perfume is harder than you think but the background of each scent was explained by Mark, making the process easier. He was knowledgeable and made it fun. It was an enjoyable afternoon, and I've come away with something that doesn't stink so that's a bonus!

Alison, who hosted the experience, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about perfume. The class was very relaxed and great fun. A great way to celebrate a birthday, and your very own perfume to take home at the end of the day. The venue is now at the Holyrood Marriott in Edinburgh which was an wonderful venue and centrally located.

Didn't really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Our consultant was very knowledgeable and was on hand to help and offer suggestions.

The perfume I made is really lovely and I am glad I upgraded to the 20ml option as it came with a beautiful atomizer.

My fragrance is saved and I will be ordering a replacement once the present one runs out.

It was a great experience . My friend recommended this workshop in Edinburgh and it was an amazing experience for ppl enjoy the essences and perfums !

Quite a large number of people were participating in the session, but it didn't matter as the venue had several tables for people to sit in groups. The experience was fun and the process and options were well explained. I wish it was a bit longer as it felt slightly rushed at the end, but I was delighted with the creation I made and the perfume was a nice gift to take home afterwards.

I was fortunate to be bought this experience as a Christmas gift. It was a fantastic couple of hours learning about how to make perfumes, determining what you like and dislike, with all the different scents that make up a complete perfume that you love.
An experience not to be missed

Enjoyed my first experience of creating my own perfume and Alison was very informative. My daughter in law got me the voucher for Xmas and l took my friend only thing was we had a headache at the end of the course smelling all the different perfumes. Enjoyed the whole experience.
