Excellent Value and Speedy Service

I love buying French pharmacy cosmetics that aren’t widely available in the UK, and Escentual always has everything I need. Great prices, fast delivery, and lovely freebies. I’m very happy with my order.

Order #803282850 I never received my…

Order #803282850 I never received my parcel and I’ve been completely ignored by customer service for over a week now.
The so-called photo proof of delivery doesn’t actually show that the parcel was delivered to me. It looks like the courier left it at my door, which is not something I ever agreed to, I never gave safe place instructions or authorised the parcel to be left unattended. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods are the retailer’s responsibility until they’re physically in the customer’s hands, so as far as I’m concerned this delivery was never completed.
I’ve emailed customer service explaining all of this and asking for a straightforward refund. Over a week later, I’ve had no response and no resolution. No acknowledgement, no update, nothing. For a company that sells premium products at premium prices, the after-sales service is seriously lacking.
All I want is a refund for items I never received that’s not unreasonable. If this isn’t resolved soon I’ll be raising a chargeback through my bank, which I’d rather not have to do but I’m running out of options at this point.
Really disappointed with this whole experience. I’d think twice before ordering from Escentual again and I’d advise others to do the same until they improve how they handle delivery issues and actually respond to their customers.
