Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs, will sell you a golfers dream but in reality it is a nightmare. You’ll struggle to get on the requested course, even if it’s the course you sponsor, and you’ll often only be offered the worst course out of your 3 choices.

Definitely not value for money and with the 90 day cancellation notice buried in a hyperlink, they hook you for another 2 years and hike the price up despite the shocking service they offer.

In short this package does not deliver as the sales team tells you it will. I understand why alot of golf clubs are cutting ties with this company as they seem to be scamming people on a regular basis, fail to deliver what is promised and then just tried to hide be contact law despite the service being absolutely appalling.

Would give zero stars if possible, hopefully this company can be stopped sooner rather than later to avoid more business becoming victims of them.

Hi Matt,

We’re sorry to read your review and are concerned by the allegations made. We have searched our records but, based on the information provided, we have been unable to identify you as a customer of The Golf Growth Group.

We would therefore ask you to complete our **Find Reviewer** process through Trustpilot so that we can establish which agreement and account your review relates to. We are more than happy to investigate any genuine concerns and address them properly, but we need to be able to identify the relevant customer and account first.

In relation to golf bookings, availability is always subject to the availability of the individual golf club. Our team will always look to accommodate members’ preferences wherever possible and will work through the requested options based on availability. Importantly, **over 80% of bookings are currently facilitated at the member’s first-choice golf course**, which is directly contrary to the suggestion that members are routinely being offered their least-preferred option.

We also do not represent that every booking will be available at a particular course on every requested date. Golf club availability naturally varies, particularly at the most popular venues, and our team works with members to find suitable alternatives where their first choice is unavailable.

As for the renewal point, the suggestion that the renewal provision is something we deliberately “hide” is not accurate. The applicable Terms of Business form part of the contractual documentation and clearly set out the notice requirements and automatic renewal provisions. Customers are responsible for reviewing the terms of the agreement they enter into, including the provisions relating to termination and renewal.

It is also important to clarify that **renewals take place at the same cost and on the same basis as the initial term, unless there has been a material change to the package**. We do not routinely increase prices simply because an agreement renews. In fact, we are one of the relatively small number of businesses in our sector that have maintained this approach rather than routinely applying price increases at renewal.

We strongly reject the allegation that we are “scamming” customers. We are a legitimate business providing a corporate golf marketing and membership service to businesses across the UK, and we are always willing to investigate a genuine service complaint where we can identify the customer and the specific circumstances.

Matt, please complete the Trustpilot **REQUEST INFOMATION** request or contact us directly with your company details. Once we can identify the account, our team will be happy to review the booking history, contractual terms and the specific concerns raised in your review.

Their research is poor, and they seem to ignore the basic decency to remove address from their spamming lists when asked.

Not sure this is the type of company anyone wants to do business with.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review.

We are unable to identify you or the client account to which this review relates from the information provided.

The statement that customers should “go and sign up to your local club” does not identify any specific issue with the service provided, nor does it explain what aspect of the agreed package you believe was not delivered.

Our golf package is a contractual service and, as clearly set out in the applicable terms, golf bookings and complimentary golf allocations are subject to availability. We do not guarantee unrestricted access to any particular golf club, course or tee time.

If you are an existing or former client, please contact us directly with your name, company name and the email address registered to your account. We will then be able to locate your agreement, review your account and booking history, and address any specific concerns you may have.

We are always willing to investigate genuine customer concerns, but a generalised statement advising others not to use our company, without identifying the account or providing any specific details, gives us no meaningful opportunity to investigate or respond.

We therefore invite you to contact us directly so that the matter can be addressed properly.

They spam me CONSTANTLY trying to get my band to sponsor a golf course 150 miles away from where we're based. We've had about 15-20 unsolicited emails from them so far. Looking at the other reviews, they're clearly spammers who can't be trusted. AVOID.
UPDATE: They've replied asking if I've unsubscribed. No, I don't click on spam links. That shows it's an active email address allowing spammers like you to continue. Simply don't spam people who've shown no interest in your business. One email? Fine. 15-20 is just ridiculous and wrong. You're a terrible company as all these reviews demonstrate.

Scammers Awful experience

Awful experience. Still awaiting return of my deposit for complete failure to show any evidence of advertising my company in previous years, fortunately I never signed the contract, took them 7 months to Wang an awful advert out without my contact details together plus a video that was for a different company stating mine would be similar and I had to pay for it ! Completly awful. Mis- sold , I was told totally different information from the contract , and they refused to engage in answering my email questions including evidence of the contract they have with my local Golf club. Which my local Golf club no longer had a contract with them ( for the obvious reasons). Trust pilot please stop taking these reviews down ! They are rude and awful to deal with, lying, mis-selling, and definitly not worth dealing with from my experience and situation. All align chiropractic clinic. Please feel free to contact me. I am progressing this further.

Dear Diane,

We are sorry to read this review, particularly given that a number of the statements made are factually inaccurate and do not reflect the communication or account history held by our business.

For clarity, this reviewer is a former client and is therefore identifiable to us. We have extensive records of communications and engagement with the client, which do not support the assertion that we “refused to engage” or failed to answer her questions. There have been numerous communications with the client regarding the account and the matters raised, and we have responded to the points put forward.

The statement that she “never signed the contract” is also a matter that can be evidenced from our records. The agreement, associated documentation and audit trail are retained by us and can be provided where appropriate. Similarly, the suggestion that the advertising service simply failed to materialise is not an accurate representation of the account history or the work undertaken.

We also reject the suggestion that we mis-sold the service, deliberately provided misleading information, or acted fraudulently. These are serious allegations and should not be made as assertions of fact without evidence.

With regard to the golf club referenced, the terms of the client's agreement were not dependent upon the golf club being the sole or exclusive provider of the contracted service. Our package operates across our wider network, subject to the applicable terms and availability. A client's understanding of a particular golf club's relationship with us does not alter the terms of their agreement with The Golf Growth Group.

We have previously had inaccurate reviews relating to this business removed through the appropriate review platform processes where the content was found not to comply with the platform's requirements. We have no objection whatsoever to genuine negative feedback, but reviews must accurately reflect the underlying facts and should not contain unsupported allegations of lying, mis-selling or being a “scammer”.

If the reviewer wishes to pursue a formal complaint or dispute, we remain willing to deal with it through the appropriate channels and on the basis of the documented account history.

For the avoidance of doubt, we stand by our records and by the services provided under the agreement. We will not accept allegations presented as fact where the contemporaneous documentation and communication history do not support them.

Kind Regards, The Golf Growth Group

Now my integrity is being questioned by this company!

Following my recent review, please can you point out what is incorrect?

Everything there is factually correct and I have both the call transcripts and call recordings as evidence to prove this.

Yes they are allegations, based on the truth, so please can you confirm what is not the truth?

I will swear on oath that the everything is factually correct.

Can you swear on oath that yournl sales representstive didnt say "Yes" to when i asked him if i could play in competitions - Just before I paid, which is why I paid!

Can you swear on oath that another representative didnt say "If thats been said then that definatelty shouldn't have been"

Yes we had call dialogue between me and The sales representstive but nothing was ever agreed or paid until younrepresentsrive confirmed that I can play in competitions (Call recording at 10:15). Payment was made in full at 10:24. Contracts sent over after payment at 10:41 and signed the next day as there was no mention of non-competition play.

Only when I went to the Golf Club was i told that I couldn't play in competitions.

When I spoke with another colleague to raise the complaint, they confirmed, again via the call logs I requested that "if that's been confirmed then that definately shouldn't have been confirmed"

I reiterate, when I asked the sales representstive, with the 16 rounds - if i could play in competitions, they categorically replied "yep, they are yours to use, there are no restrictions on them, we just ask to book atleast 7 days in advance" (Again this is from the call logs I have, and from my SAR request)

My main full-time profession is actually saving lives on a daily basis, and my integrity, honesty will always be something that I take pride in.

This review and my previous reviews are not fictional, made up or fabricated.

If naming a sales rep, and your complaints lead and members of your staff in factual evidence, then I am guilty of that, but that crime is nothing compared to misleading a sale, costing a young family, a front line public service worker and small business owner who is trying his best to support his family, into spending £2,964.

None of the services have been used by myself and on the 27th May, I even offered a reduction of £2,500 refund via email, which was totally ignored, and not even an email back!

Following my intial review, I have had 11 calls to-date, from other users, going through similar issues. The majority being your "automatic renewal policy" Where you dont make any effort to inform customers that their auto-renew date is closing in, giving them an option to opt out if they wish, but trap them into automatically renewing within the 3 months of the contract end date.

In your defence, you don't have to send them this reminder, and maybe by doing this, you would lose alot of revenue, but morally, this would be better to do and also shows a business that cares for its customers, maybe?

Please I fully 100% alow you to verify and prove my allegations and accusations are wrong, by replying to this review and I openly give you authority to share any information you have publicly on this platform to give you an opportunity to show that what i am saying is wrong!

This is your time to prove that my accusations and allegations are false, and discredit such an abhorrent review.

I respect you asking Trustpilot to remove the previous review, but please be mindful that this is a customers gift, to give honest, accurate and truthful reviews of businesses. Maybe the reason my review hasn't been removed as per your request, is because they deem it not to be inacurate, not to be defamatory, or not to be based on agenuine experience! - Trustpilot, please leave these reviews up and please contact me for the evidence to demonstrate that my review is absolutely the truth and factually correct, based on my experience.

For anyone who wishes to hear the call
logs and transcripts (redacting personal information ensuring i dont breach GDPR regulations), please feel free to contact me.

Reply from The Golf Growth Group

Dear Timothy,

You have now set out a lengthy version of your allegations on Trustpilot, but repeating allegations does not make them established facts.

There is a fundamental difference between stating that you believe something happened and establishing what actually happened. You say you have recordings, transcripts and other evidence. Those materials can be produced through the appropriate proceedings, where both parties can present their evidence against the full contractual and factual record.

What we will not do is conduct an ongoing contractual dispute, chargeback and court claim through a public review platform.

Your suggestion that we have ignored you or refused to engage is simply not an accurate representation of the history between the parties. There has been extensive correspondence and communication, and there is a substantial documentary record. You have raised your position, we have responded, and the matter has now progressed into formal dispute channels.

You have chosen to present a disputed allegation regarding a sales conversation as though that conversation, in isolation, determines the contractual position. It does not. The circumstances of the sale, the agreement subsequently entered into, the contractual terms, the services purchased, the communications between the parties and the surrounding evidence all form part of the relevant factual background. That is precisely why these matters should be determined through the appropriate process rather than by selectively presenting one version of events on Trustpilot.

You repeatedly refer to your integrity and invite us to “swear on oath” about what was said on a telephone call. That is not how contractual disputes are determined. If you believe your evidence establishes your case, you have an appropriate forum in which to present it. We will do exactly the same with ours.

You have also referred to previous reviews being removed. To be clear, this was not The Golf Growth Group attempting to silence you or prevent you from expressing dissatisfaction. Reviews relating to this matter have been subject to Trustpilot's own review and compliance processes. Their removal, amendment or reposting does not determine whether the underlying allegations are correct.

Likewise, your suggestion that customers are somehow “trapped” through automatic renewal is a characterisation we categorically reject. The contractual renewal provisions form part of the agreement entered into. Disagreement with a contractual provision does not make it deceptive, dishonest or a “trap”.

Most importantly, you are currently pursuing this matter through formal channels, including a chargeback and court proceedings. That is where the substantive issues belong. We will provide the relevant contractual documents, correspondence, call records and other evidence through those channels as appropriate.

We are not going to publish confidential or potentially evidential material on Trustpilot simply because you have invited us to do so. Nor will we allow a public review platform to become a substitute for the court process.

You are entitled to give an honest opinion about your experience. However, disputed allegations of dishonesty, mis-selling, deliberate concealment or “trapping” customers should not be presented as established facts when those matters are expressly disputed and currently subject to formal proceedings.

For anyone reading this review, the position is simple:

**This is not a complaint that has been ignored. It is a disputed contractual matter that has been extensively engaged with and is now subject to formal processes.** Both parties have the opportunity to present their evidence, and we are entirely comfortable doing so.

We will not litigate the matter on Trustpilot. We will defend our position where it matters — through the appropriate formal channels and on the basis of the complete evidence.

Kind regards,
The Golf Growth Group

Avoid, worst experience I’ve ever had

Absolute waste of time and money

Promised so much, and then as soon as the were paid became absolutely pointless, went into the golf club recently and they’ve never even heard of me, or seen my logo, logged onto their app which they use for the courses, business not listed, when I questioned it (after they forced me to renew or pay their minimum daily fee to terminate (£1200))
They said that they had completed all their contractural requirements, which must have been basically get the money and don’t do anything else because I saw nothing from any of this, yes should have gone to the course earlier to check, but I guess you can’t trust anyone, they also offered a “free” golf course advertisement for another venue which has also disappeared from the app entirely, so guess they must have lost that course, but I was never informed of this either,

I was told I had the option to renew in 2 years, turns out if you don’t want to renew you have to cancel 3 months before renewal, and if you don’t, well, they will still have to charge you their minimum daily fee of £1200 to terminate, even after asking for a bit of lenience I was told well I do t have to offer the termination fee at all, so no compassion for my situation, this has all but bankrupted me, and no one at that company cares.

I asked them to reduce it if possible and the account manager told me he wasn’t authorised to go any lower, begged to speak to someone who is authorised to which I was told “thats me” asked to speak to someone higher up and all he said was you wouldn’t get to speak to Richard Branson if you phoned virgin, so why would you speak to someone higher up here…at that point I gave up, said I would do the termination fee over 6 months (as they said I could) they sent me an invoice for the first one, and then sent me a link for a website to set up a direct debit which I couldn’t commit to incase the money wasn’t in my account, said I wouldn’t be setting up a direct debit, and they sent me another invoice for the next month, and then said it wasnt possible for them to just said invoices, like they had done for 2 months before?, then went on to threatened legal action if payment or direct debit not set up by 5pm, so borrowed the money and paid the rest and now leaving this review, will also be finding other review site to make sure no other company would want to risk this mess, in my opinion I would avoid this company if given the chance, I would have been better off putting the £4000 into a lottery, the result could not have been worse

I’ve never felt the need to leave a review before, especially bad, but the sheer lack of willingness to help or effort to do what they said they would, felt like I had no choice

Also a reply… to your reply

If you have no idea which account this review is connected with then the first part of your reply is just made up stock answers to negative complaints, and you would truly have no idea what was offered or not offered or if you had indeed done any contractural obligations, or if the account had been settled, so once again, I still feel there is a lot of dishonesty somewhere within your organisation, proven by the fact the second half of your reply contradicts the responses of the first reply, can’t find the find reviewer function…so this will have to do

Hello Shaun,

Thank you for your review.

We are disappointed to read this account, particularly as it does not accurately reflect the contractual position or the communications that took place.

The agreement was a business-to-business contract entered into on agreed terms, including provisions concerning its initial term, renewal and the requirement for written notice of termination. No valid notice of termination was received within the contractual notice period. The agreement therefore renewed in accordance with the terms to which the parties had agreed.

It is important to distinguish between dissatisfaction with the contractual outcome and an allegation that the contract was improperly applied. The renewal was not something we imposed retrospectively or introduced after the event; it arose because the agreed notice provisions were not complied with. The position was explained to you at the time, and a goodwill termination arrangement was offered despite the absence of the required notice.

We also reject the suggestion that the company simply took payment and did nothing. The package is a wider B2B marketing proposition incorporating a number of contracted elements, and performance cannot reasonably be assessed solely by whether a particular golf club employee recognised an individual business or whether an app displayed a particular listing at a particular point in time. The contractual obligations and the actual delivery record are matters that can be evidenced.

For clarity, we are not going to disclose private contractual correspondence or account information on a public review platform. If you maintain that any specific contractual obligation was not delivered, you are welcome to set out that allegation through the appropriate formal channel, where the relevant records can be considered properly.

We also note that this review identifies an individual employee by name and attributes specific statements and conduct to that individual. Those personal references are unnecessary to the review of the company’s services and will therefore be reported to Trustpilot for review under its content guidelines. We will provide the relevant supporting information to Trustpilot if required.

We are entitled to respond to criticism, but we will not allow a public review to create a misleading impression of the contractual position or to personally target members of our team.

The underlying contractual matter has been dealt with and the agreed termination amount has been paid. We consider the matter closed.

Kind Regards, The Golf Growth Group

Hello Dan,

Thank you for your review.

We are happy to address genuine criticism of our service, but we do not accept the allegation that an individual member of our team is “full of absolute lies”. That is a serious and entirely unsupported allegation, rather than a substantiated account of any specific issue.

If you believe that anything communicated to you was factually incorrect, you are welcome to identify the specific statement and provide the evidence supporting your allegation. We will be happy to consider it against the contemporaneous correspondence and contractual records.

Our records provide an objective account of the communications and dealings between the parties, and we are confident that they do not support the broad allegation made here.

We have therefore reported this review to Trustpilot for review, particularly in respect of the personal allegation against an identifiable member of our team. We will provide the relevant evidence to Trustpilot should it be requested.

We remain happy to deal with any genuine service issue through the appropriate formal channels, but personal accusations presented as fact are not an appropriate substitute for evidence.
