The catamaran I had a reservation paid for , suddenly wasn’t available

Ruby is fantastic. She's attentive, responsive, and unhesitatingly puts her energy into my endless questions and changes of mind. She found me the best price from the outset without my having to haggle (the boat owner by contrast pitched high, presumably thinking I might be a sucker). I'm now a three time client of Globe Sailor, and very happy about it.

Waypoint Catamaran Charter in Croatia – Disappointing Experience

We chartered a catamaran in Croatia, expecting a premium experience, but the reality was far from what had been promised. The condition of the boat and the company’s handling of our complaints left us deeply disappointed.

Boat Condition
• One cabin was completely unusable due to a persistent sewage odor. For the entire week, this space could not be occupied, leaving us with fewer cabins than we had paid for.
• We discovered mouse droppings in the kitchen and even on a bed sheet in another cabin — something that should never happen on a supposedly premium vessel.
• The cushions inside and outside were covered with stains, giving the entire boat a neglected feel. This was especially frustrating as we had chosen this catamaran from many options precisely because it was advertised as a newer model. What we encountered — stained, worn cushions, broken equipment, and poor upkeep — completely contradicted that expectation.
• The SUP paddle was broken from the very start, rendering it unusable.

Customer Service & Handling of Issues
• When we reported these problems, the company’s response was dismissive and inadequate.
• Their only offer was a €700 refund on a €10,000 charter, which in no way reflects the scale of the issues or the impact on our holiday.
• Rather than showing accountability, their communication was defensive, repeatedly pointing out their “many happy clients” instead of addressing our situation.
• At no point did we feel the company recognized the seriousness of these problems or the fact that our experience had been severely compromised.

Overall
We paid close to €10,000 expecting a high-quality charter. Instead, we received a boat with unusable cabins, a sewage odor, rodent droppings, stained and dirty cushions, broken equipment, and misleading claims about its condition and age.

Even worse, the company’s refusal to resolve the matter fairly made the experience more frustrating than it should have been. Instead of support, we felt deflected and dismissed.

While others may have had better experiences, our charter in Croatia revealed serious maintenance issues, misleading presentation, and a lack of accountability. I would strongly caution others before booking.

fantastic company - really great holiday

We had a wonderful skipper and a fantastic yacht that was almost brand new. Great relaxing, fun-filled family holiday…

Welcome : We arrived at the boat slightly early and were turned away - it was a scorching hot day and we wondered around finding a place to wait by accident. Recommendation - direct people to the holding site and not the boat. The welcome from the skipper and hostess was very warm.

Boat condition - excellent. The cabin was spacious enough for 2 with an en suite

Price/quality ratio - the cost is high and does not include additional costs to pay once you board and also a pretty hefty 'tip' (expected 10-15% of the cost) for the crew once you finish. This is optional but felt like an obligation. The skipper and hostess were outstanding - awesome charismatic people really made the trip special

Destination - we enjoyed the trip, particularly Poros and Hydra but would not choose the Saronic Islands again. We would go to the Cyclades instead. It was disappointing to note when snorkelling how dead the sealife is in the Saronic Islands i.e. there is none :(

Efficacity, as is in english I will write shortly.

It was essential to receive help and suggestions from the booking advisor. The speed of the reply to my questions was impressive. We chat in real time using the platform messages and email.

Boat is very spacious and nicely finished. The top deck is amazing with a table that will fit 10 people comfortably, BBQ, sofas, electric retractable roof, and sunbeds which makes it a perfect place to sit with all your guests while cruising. The front of the boat is also very spacious and fitted with sunbeds and tables. The route was full of amazing bays with small empty beaches surrounded by lush forests and very few boats around, which makes it even more enjoyable. No crowds, no clubs, no noise. Nature at its best. Fantastic experience with an excellent Skipper and hostess. I would go again without any doubt. Beautiful Greece is top!!

I asked for quotes from several companies but Vincent offered me the catamaran closest to my needs.
I also liked the fact that he convinced the boat owner to be flexible with the delivery location, even though we changed it a few times.
Vincent had the wisdom to insist just long enough not to become annoying and without his perseverance I'm sure I still wouldn't have had my vacation booked.

We had a wonderful week sailing around the Zadar region. The Sunturist team received us timely and helped us with all our questions and information about the boat. The boat functioned very well during our trip and was according to expectations, information and photos.
We were able to wrap up check-in paperwork in advance and also the check-out went quicker as we were on time back at the harbor and personnel was available to help us straight away.

The Base is very well run with a good technical support team. The boat was clean and ready to go when we arrived, with the exception of an autopilot glitch which was remedied very promptly.
The boat was as expected with all systems except the bow thruster working. (BT is not really needed on this boat)
Running rigging was not worn or stiff and sails in good condition.
I suggested to put some anti-skid strips on the inside of the dinghy as it becomes very slick!
Phuket is a superb cruising destination and one can find sheltered anchorages in both SW and NE monsoon seasons.

This was the second time we booked our catamaran holiday through GlobeSailor, and once again it was the right choice. The team shows great professionalism and is always available to tailor their offers to match our preferences and needs.
This time, the catamaran was provided by Jedo Sailing Ltd.
We had an absolutely unforgettable experience during our family holiday aboard the catamaran. Dominikus and Patricia were exceptional hosts, creating a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere from the very first moment — we truly felt at home.
The food prepared by Patricia deserves a 10 out of 10! It was better than many of the restaurants we visited in Ibiza. As some of us have dietary restrictions, we were especially grateful for the care and attention Patricia gave to making sure every meal was appropriate, always prepared with flavour and love.
Dominikus proved to be an excellent captain — experienced, attentive to our preferences, and always ready with great suggestions on where to go and how to make the most of each day. We always felt safe and well taken care of.
We are deeply grateful for the care, professionalism, and dedication with which we were welcomed throughout our stay. We will most definitely repeat the experience and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore the islands in a unique and special way.
