Help me I'm so many ways since I have never blogged at all. Also anytime I had a question or needed help gave me a solution and very help that day within hours.

Horrible experience! I did not receive a service for my money!

*** Updated*** Please do not fall for the reply posted below, and understand the unethical billing they attempted. To paraphrase the formal disclaimer received,"We are cancelling your service, so you will receive absolutely no product for your money, but we do still want you to pay half of the cost of the product we are not providing."

They are correct in saying they didn't cancel my account until we spoke after I saw the auto-draft come out of my bank account, but they cancelled it first, and THEN and only then told me they would only be refunding half of the fee.

As far as them reporting my post as "slanderous", I have the screenshots to back up my claim. Slander only occurs when what someone is alleging is NOT true. My bank agreed a company may not charge a dime unless they provide a product or service in exchange and returned my money, and if I decide to proceed with blogging, it will be with one of the many cheaper month-to-month providers I discovered via a quick Google search for "reputable blog hosting companies".

Also, I do not believe the marketing campaign claiming I received a significant value for allowing them eternal access to my bank account. On February 2, 2017, they sent me an e-mail offering me LIFETIME service for $97. It is my feeling that $97 for only one year is not a good value when some of their customers are receiving 50 years for the same $97.

***Original Post*** Beware of their auto-renew clause. I opened an account over two years ago and never did anything with it (seriously not one blog). I apparently missed the first "auto-renew", and they just tried again to charge me yet another $97 for a third year of service I am not receiving. I contacted them expecting a quick, ethical resolution. The customer service representative CANCELLED my service, then tried to charge me half of their fee, anyways. I am extremely disappointed with my experience, and feel as though they employed their small print to financially exploit me.

As I explained in great detail over text, this was your 3rd yearly renewal and your account was not cancelled until we spoke. You made no attempt to reach out to us or indicate in any way that you wanted to cancel your account prior to this conversation.

Surely, you can agree that the responsibility to use, not use, or cancel your service falls squarely on you.

The advantage of pre-paying for the full year in advance is that you get a discount of more than 40% off of the regular month-to-month cost.

The disadvantage is that you will need to set a reminder for yourself so that you don't forget to cancel if you no longer wish to continue.

BlogPress is a subscription service, just like your cell phone, Amazon Prime, and Netflix accounts. It will continue to auto-renew until you cancel.

To help you remember, BlogPress sends out several reminder emails before your account renews so that you have ample time to cancel the account before the next renewal date.

The quotation in your review is factually incorrect and does match my statements or BlogPress practices: "We are cancelling your service, so you will receive absolutely no product for your money, but we do still want you to pay half of the cost of the product we are not providing."

Please see below for the correct and accurate policy on refunds and cancellations.

BlogPress provides full access to your account for the duration of your discounted, pre-paid yearly subscription as explained in our Terms of Service. BlogPress would never charge for a service that is not provided.

The BlogPress refund policy clearly states that there are no refunds outside of the 14-day trial period.

We do however make an exception for our yearly customers who may have forgotten to cancel their accounts.

We offer a 50% refund of $48.50 to our yearly customers because we understand that sometimes, you just get busy and forget...

It's our way of sharing the responsibility with you.

I'm sure you can see that is more than fair.

Excellent 5 Star Service:-)

Hi Folks,

Having just completed and very much enjoyed the 90 day training I am very much looking forward to getting my new blog underway. Jennifer has been extremely quick and responsive in answering any questions that I have had and I can tell that she really cares about we Blog Pressee`s... (if there is such a word lol) .

Top Notch Company and Support

After weeks of reseching about blogging I decided to put my faith in BlogPress. So far, they have held up their end. As soon as I get stuck on something Jennifer is available within minutes. If you are new to blogging as I am, it will be worth your while to check out BlogPress. I really am impressed with what they offer and their awesome customer support.

A Breath of Fresh Air

I had to change my hosting company because they simply did not understand WordPress beginners and I had so many holdups with them. I found the BlogPress to be a very helpful breath of fresh air where they will download things for you on to your blog, have lovely training tutorials plus come back to you very quickly when you get stuck. Good people who completely understand beginners and genuinely want you to succeed.

Australian new blogger.

I am in Australia and because there is no 24 hr chat, the response time is slow and if you need to have a chat about something it can take days...really frustrating!
No wonder people give up on blogging!

Yes, we are a U.S. based company and our standard office hours are 9am - 6pm central standard time. However, I did research your conversation history with my support team and all tickets were answered the same day (within 24 hours).

The best way to compensate for the time difference is to lump your questions into one request. (I see that there were several back and forths about your domain email address - this is technically not even part of our service and is provided by your domain registrar - in this case I believe that is our domain partner GoDaddy - but it looks like Dan really went above and beyond to help you get it all sorted out.)

There is a lot to learn with blogging and you are correct. That is why most people give up. BlogPress is the only company that will help with the things you've needed help with like domain email, aligning images, setting up your theme, etc.

Please be patient with yourself and with our support team and we will answer all of your questions and help you in any way that we can.

You are welcome to try other services and at this point, I may recommend it so that you do can see how truly awesome BlogPress is. A large number of our customers leave and return because they realize that the grass is not necessarily greener and the level of service and support that we provide is excellent.

Base product good - sloppy in the areas of links and support.

I have had an overall favorable experience but I am constantly running into links in the training that don't work. Most of them are the video links.
There are instances where the link just takes you to the "Buy now!" page. Very annoying.
I also would like more indepth information in the on-line help and training. I seem to have to stumble upon what I'm looking for. Is there just a link for WordPress Help wiki or something? I have sometimes found it easier to Google the question in general rather than using TheBlogPress help menus.
I find that my questions get answered in a day or two but not always consistently. For example, one response from BlogPress may say "do this" and then I get another e-mail from another person that says "Wait, here's what you really should do."

My hopes for this relationship are very high.

Over the last ten years I have attempted to work with at least 12 different website designers, hosting companies and others to get several websites that I have online improved. All of those attempts ended in disappointment in one form or another. They over promised and under delivered.
Jennifer at BlogPress is incredible. She has exceeded my expectations in every regard. I feel like I ask too much but she has fulfilled every request, sometimes within minutes. If this continues to completion of this website project I will be moving my other website to BlogPress and I will be hoping that I get Jennifer on those projects as well.

Great deal and service

This is the third year that I am using blogpress. Recently I bough great black friday deal with them that allows me to host my blog for a lifetime.

Although they have limited number of customer service reps, they do their best to respond on time and are quite helpful.

Blogpress is great to host blogs. They have an excellent amount of themes you can use for your blog to modify however, third party themes are not compatible. That was one of the downside for me as I wanted a more unique look to my blog.

Nonetheless, they do a great job at hosting your blog and do their best to keep you satisfied and feel heard through their customer service.
