My 4 children have attended Hertford and Ware Theatretrain over the past 10 years, and 3 of them still go today. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warm, family atmosphere - it really is such a welcoming and supportive environment.
The staff are absolutely fantastic. They are caring, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping every child grow in confidence. My youngest struggles with anxiety, and thanks to their patience and support, she has come out of her shell so much that she now confidently performs on stage. Seeing that transformation has been incredible.
Over the years, my children have had so many amazing opportunities, including performing at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as taking part in a variety of other productions and performances. They have loved every minute of it.
Theatretrain has also helped them build lasting friendships and given them a fun, creative outlet that gets them away from their iPads and engaged in something they truly enjoy.
A special mention has to go to Shannon. She is amazing! Always smiling, approachable, and supportive to both the children and parents. She goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome 🫶
I couldn’t recommend Hertford and Ware Theatretrain highly enough. It has given my children confidence, friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a real love of performing.
Thank you ❤️

Our daughter, Chloe, is finishing at Theatretrain in Ware this year as she goes off to University. She has had the most amazing few years with Theatretrain and they have really helped her to come out of her shell and now exudes confidence when she is up on stage. She is really sad to be leaving the group and intends on going back to see everyone as and when she can and maybe join in with the odd session here and there! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something exciting and fun for their children to do whilst at the same time developing their personal skills interacting with other children and teachers, building their confidence with each and every lesson. Thanks to all the teachers over the years. Chloe really is going to miss the class and everyone greatly!

My daughter has been at Theatretrain since she was a TT mini (left inbetween for about a year) she absolutely loves going, she's made some friends outside of her school life whilst at primary and these are now close friends at secondary. The kids are all lovely, it doesn't matter what age they are, they all look out for each other. The staff are lovely, every week she comes home with a new story about one of them, she comes out smiling every week without fail. Mark and the Team are always happy and the effort they put in to the shows is phenomenal. 🥰

My daughter has been attending Sudbury since she was 4!! She is now 13 and loves every single week and hates to miss it! The dedication of the teachers goes above and beyond expectations! None of it would be possible without the dedication of the manager Emma, without her organisation and leadership it wouldn’t be the place it is! Theatretrain inspires confidence, inclusion, teamwork, drama let alone a whole host of other things!! The shows are always spectacular!

My daughter has attended the Bristol TT for around 3 years now. It's like a big family, Sue, Martin the coaches and all the Children. She absolutely loves it. The show at the Royal Albert Hall was fantastic. Would recommend to everyone!

We have 2 children that attend Theatretrain, Bury St. Edmunds. One has been going for 5 years, and the other 3 years (he had a break for 2 years, but came back!). They both absolutely LOVE the group, and enjoy going every Saturday without fail, and are so happy. They have grown so much in abilities and in confidence, and it showed so clearly on stage yesterday at the Northampton 'Royal & Derngate' theatre. The TT Director, Manager, Teachers are all so passionate and caring, and make the company what it is - and all children are fabulous. It is a big group, but it feels like a family. We are so happy with TT BSE and can't recommend it enough.
Big thanks to Emma and the team :-)

Our family has been part of Theatretrain since 2006, with many wonderful memories made both at Bury St Edmunds and also through our involvement with the Sudbury group. Over the years, Theatretrain has become so much more than a performing arts school to us – it has been a place where young people are encouraged to grow in confidence, discover who they are, and truly thrive both on and off the stage.
The support and encouragement the students receive is second to none. Theatretrain celebrates individuality and helps every child find their own voice, whether they dream of performing professionally or simply want to build confidence and make lifelong friendships. The teachers are incredibly talented, dedicated, and inspiring. They genuinely care about every student and create a nurturing environment where children feel valued, supported, and empowered to be themselves.
My daughter has attended the Bury St Edmunds school since she was exactly three years old, and the experiences she has gained there are truly immeasurable. From performances and Saturday sessions, to friendships and life skills, Theatretrain has given her opportunities that have helped shape the confident, kind, and resilient young person she is today.
What makes Theatretrain so special is that it teaches far more than singing, dancing, and acting. It teaches teamwork, commitment, self-belief, respect, and perseverance. The confidence that students develop carries through into every aspect of their lives, whether that's at school, in future careers, or in their personal relationships.
I cannot recommend Theatretrain Bury St Edmunds highly enough. It is a warm, welcoming, and inspiring community that changes lives, creates unforgettable memories, and helps young people become the very best versions of themselves. We are incredibly grateful for everything it has given our family over the last two decades. ❤️

I have been attending Theatretrain Maldon since I was 7 years old, and it has been such an amazing part of my life. The teachers are incredibly supportive, encouraging, and passionate about what they do, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels included. Over the years, I have grown so much in confidence and have developed my singing, acting, and dancing skills while making some fantastic friends along the way.
The opportunities to perform are brilliant, and every show is put together with so much care and dedication. Theatretrain Maldon feels like a second family to me, and I always look forward to going each week. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys performing arts or wants to build confidence, learn new skills, and be part of a friendly and supportive community.

What an absolutely fantastic production of Matilda! The talent, confidence, and energy shown by all the children were truly impressive. From the acting and singing to the choreography and stage presence, every detail reflected the hard work and dedication of both the young performers and the drama club team behind the scenes.
As a parent, I was completely overwhelmed with pride. In fact, I spent about half of the show in tears watching my daughter perform. Seeing her on stage with such confidence, joy, and passion was an incredibly emotional experience and one I will never forget.
A huge thank you to Carol and the entire Carshalton team for making this production possible. You have created a special experience and wonderful memories for the children and their families. We left the theatre smiling, inspired, and incredibly proud. Bravo to everyone involved!

I had the pleasure of being a chaperone on Sutton Theatre Train's recent production of Matilda Jnr at Charles Cryer Studio Theatre. I can't begin to use all the wonderful words to describe the Company.
Can leads the group with passion, enthusiasm, humility, humour, care and dedication. You can see how much Cas and her team bring to the group in the smiles on their faces.
I chaperone a lot and have rarely seen such happy children, so full of joy and enthusiasm. This makes each and every one of them shine and perform to their potential. This is a rare find.
It was pure joy to meet a Company of such well mannered, polite, kind and talented children. You should be VERY proud of what you do at Theatre Train Sutton.
