Nationwide let us down badly...
When our current insurer- Nationwide - suddenly declined to renew cover (after 26 years without a claim) and gave us only one month to find a new insurer, I was so pleased to find Thatch Assist and their helpful team who took us through everything clearly and enabled us to take out a new policy in time.

Highly rate Liz Mitchell
We were considering purchasing a thatched cottage and wanted to understand more about the insurance implications before moving forward. I spoke with Liz Mitchell, who was incredibly helpful and generous with her time. She shared an absolute wealth of knowledge about insuring thatched properties and explained everything in a way that was clear, thorough, and easy to understand.

First experience with Thatch Assist
I called Thatch Assist to ask for a quote to compare with my renewal quotation.
I spoke with Helen, who asked all of the necessary questions to ensure that she could help me before completing questionnaire for my thatched property.
Once this was complete, we were able to review all of my requirements for both buildings and contents cover.
Helen took time at each stage to make sure that I had the correct cover for every section, it was a pleasure to deal with her throughout this process.
I was also advised to pursue a correct rebuild cost for the property as an incorrect estimate could prove to be a costly error. Thatch Assist were also able to organise this for me which will provide peace of mind that I am not under insured.
From start to finish, this was a very easy process and provided me with a very competitive price for my cover.
