We love the way the teaching is broken down into small steps that build on one another and how accompanying resources support all learners.

I love how clear the planning is, the resources and the youtube links - it really bought the unit to life.

Nice to have free resources, but obviously it would be nice to be completely free. I get both sides, though.

We found the planning and resources incredibly useful and engaging. We used Teaching from Text to deliver English lessons linked to our Roman topic in year 4 and were really pleased with the end results. The excellent resources enabled our learners to really engage with a high quality text whilst simultaneously developing their punctuation and grammar skills. Highly recommended.

Thank you - it was great as a basis for a start to plan a slightly longer unit. Colourful, good ideas, nicely scaffolded. Only complaint - quite expensive for what it was - but as you probably know teachers will pay if they have limited planning time!

I was looking at planning for Marcy and the Riddle of Sphinx having looked the free planing Teaching from the Text offered I thought it was great, well resourced, interactive and offered genres that my class needed to focus on.
We mainly used the quest narrative - the resources were great, slides informative and planning clear.
Would look to use again if our texts matched up.
Communication was great and Teaching from the Text were really helpful and kind.

I have just recently purchased the Marcy planning and am extremely impressed. The planning is set out on PowerPoint slides, with everything ready to go. It’s really well written, easy to follow with everything there ready to go. It’s therefore easy to add to with your own prompts/resources.
I will definitely be going to this site as a first port of call when planning my next unit of work. Please can you add more units such as Stone Age Boy and Kapok Tree?

Superb set of planning for text Resist for a mixed year 5-6 class. Activities were spot on the age and needs of the class with plenty of chances to adapt for pupils who were below the age related expectations for the year group. Well chosen text for tricky issue with lots of opportunities for chat and discussion. Superb writing from the text for range of genre. School leaders impressed with the work produced from writing tasks to SPAG skills. Easy to use and very organised to locate all the resources that you need. Have bought another unit for this term and ready to start!

The planning I received from Teaching From Text has been amazing. Not only are the plans, powerpoints and activities great it also saved me so much time, not having to re-plan a scheme of work based around a text! So, I thank you so much for that!
