One of the better screeners by far
One of the better dyslexia screeners out there by far, this was much more within budget than what I had found online, yet the quality was amazing and the test was super easily to follow. Couldn't recommend his more! The user experience team deserves a raise !
As a parent
As a parent, I found the Talamo screener incredibly helpful. The test was easy for my child to follow, and it gave us clear, detailed insights into their reading and language skills. I really appreciate how accessible and supportive the process felt - it gave me peace of mind and direction on how to best support my child’s learning. Highly recommend to any other parent looking for an early, reliable screening tool!

Talamo are an alternative to other older dyslexia screeners which is based on well-respected psychometric tests. Testing is engaging and reports are produced for both parents and teachers in easily accessible language, allowing appropriate student interventions to be put in place.
The customer service team is very responsive and inform of any anomalies, this is a real difference from other online screening programmes, allowing us to feel confident in the reliability of the results.
Screener over an expensive full assessment
My Son, has always struggled in school and the support network provided by the school was not good enough. I can't afford a full dyslexia assessment and discovered Talamo.
After my son has taken the screener he feels that he has now answers to his questions. He feel he understands himself a little better other than being made to think he was stupid. Since taking the report to school his teachers have put in interventions (some suggested by Talamo and he is doing better than ever and we are only a week in. Thank you Talamo you will never know how grateful I am.

The results came through quickly and the report was clear and easy to understand. It gave us real insight into my child’s learning profile and, most importantly, practical next steps. Having that guidance gave me the confidence to approach the school and ask for the right support.
A Ground Breaking Tool
A truly ground breaking tool for young dyslexics, a way of quickly and efficiently diagnosing neurodiversity in a truly innovative way.
Kudos to the Talamo team and wish a tool like this existed when I was younger

I wish Talamo existed when I was at School!
My daughter has recently used Talamo at her school, we had our suspicions she may suffer with dyslexia, but hadn't wanted to opt for the drawn out, painful process if we were to opt through our health care system. Talamo has made accessing testing incredibly easy, the UI was fantastic and clearly had been well thought, you could really tell this is a Founder led business, solving a problem they have encountered themselves. The test was incredibly straight forward, democratising dyslexia is vital in this day and age and Talamo are absolute pioneers of this. I would highly recommend if you had concerns like we did over your children, it helps put your mind at ease, but more importantly enables your child to have the support they so clearly deserve. Well done Talamo, you've certainly supported one little girl in her education and I am sure this will be one of many many stories to come.
We are so proud to be using Talamo…
We are so proud to be using Talamo as part of our neurodevelopmental assessment service. Their screening tool has become an essential part of our ADHD and SpLD assessments, enabling us to identify co-occurring learning differences in our neurodivergent clients quickly and effectively. We also use Talamo prior to full SpLD diagnostic assessments, which allows us to recognise those who need a full assessment at the earliest opportunity, ensuring no time is lost in accessing the right support.
Jamie and the whole Talamo team are fantastic, their communication is always clear, professional, and supportive. I’ve also attended webinars and training sessions with Jamie, which are consistently enthusiastic, informative, and packed with practical insight.
Talamo are genuinely changing the landscape of dyslexia and learning difference identification. Their innovation is enhancing early diagnostic practice, and we feel privileged to integrate Talamo within our service. It has elevated the quality of our assessments and the outcomes we can offer our clients. Highly recommend!

Great and intuitive dyslexia screener
The dyslexia screener is straightforward and user-friendly, with a great UI. I couldn’t recommend Talamo more. It’s democratising dyslexia support and bringing us closer to a fairer learning environment by better identifying SEN early on.

Talamo test and results
The Talamo test was used in my son's school. He actually enjoyed taking the test as it was activity based. The results report was easy to understand and although our son did not have any subject to worry about, for those children that the results showed challenges it is a fab indicator for the school and parents to discuss an academic plan.

Talamo is an excellent resource for schools
Talamo provides a fantastic tool for schools and education providers to screen for dyslexia.
They have made a resource which is very easy to access and that children engage with really well; being able to complete the tasks independently.
The information that is then provided, for schools and parents, is comprehensive and helps inform practice.
It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the team at Talamo and we are very grateful for the support it gives us in order to support our pupils.

As a teacher
As a teacher, I have talamo a great indicator as to what my students are experiencing. It gives us as a school an opportunity as insight into how our students function. It also gives our parents the opportunity to get a full diagnosis if they so wish.
Talamo, is clear in the fact it sells itself as a screener and not a diagnosis in any form. But, as a school this gives us enough to work from to provide individual education plans for those that require it. Thank you Talamo!

We knew our daughter was bright but she was struggling in places, especially with reading. The Talamo test was quick and easy, and she didn’t mind doing it.
The report was clear and easy to follow, helping us see where she needed extra support.

What a relief!
From my daughter (aged 12 below):
I took the Talamo test last year after mum showed me. It told me I might be dyslexic and that was first step for me getting support from teachers.

Talamo is the top dyslexia screener you can get. Thoroughly tested and accurate it is suitable for parents and schools. This is the first step for parents and schools to decide whether they should go forward with a formal assessment

Helped us understand better and get support!
We’ve been worried about our son for a while, he was starting to struggle at school in some subjects, but doing well in others. Reading was becoming a battle and honestly we felt a bit lost.
The Talamo test was easy to set up and my son did n’t mind doing it (he actually quite enjoyed the games). The report made so much sense and wasn’t full of jargon, just clear about where he was finding things tricky. It gave us the confidence to go into school and ask for more help, rather than just guessing.
It’s not a magic fix but it’s given us the help we needed. Wish we’d done it sooner tbh

The advertising is misleading
At best, this screener will confirm your suspicions that your child has ‘indications of dyslexia’ and offer recommendations for support at home.
It cannot identify, confirm or legally diagnose 'dyslexia'.
It is unlikely to be able to tell a school anything that it doesn't already know about your child and certainly won't attract the necessary government funding to make any difference to the support that your child already receives. Neither is it valid for applications for access arrangements in examinations, the Disabled Student Allowance or Access to Work.
A full diagnostic assessment for dyslexia carried out to national standards by an appropriately qualified psychologist registered with the Health Care Professional Council, or a specialist assessor with a current Assessment Practising Certificate will always include a screener, in the form of parent and teacher questionnaires to be completed in advance.
This review aims to provide a more complete picture, to enable parents to make properly informed decisions and avoid potentially paying for a service that might not meet their needs.

Great tool!
We used Talamo because our daughter had struggled in school, mainly with reading. We were also not convinced she was dyslexic but there was obviously something effecting her learning. Although this is not a full assessment (We were not convinced enough to complete a full assessment as they're expensive and her school were still putting as much support in place anyway) I feel that it has accurately reported on our daughters strengths and weaknesses.
The report identified limited signs of dyslexia but did pin point that she was struggling with processing speed, therefore giving us far more confidence on how to help her. It removed any doubt and saved us paying for a full assessment that we were already unsure whether it was completely necessary.
The process was smooth, although did take a little longer than 3 days for the report but communication was swift. We left her to do the questions on her own to avoid any accidental influence so I did not see any of the tests but she was happy to complete them.
Overall, we found it a good tool and hope the team are able to get into more schools, parents radars.
Finally a reliable online screener
Finally a reliable online screener. I had the chance to chat with the CEO during the product testing phase and I've been waiting for this online screener’s launch. My daughter took the test at the end of last week and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The cost of the test is 1/6th of what we’ve been offered up till now and my daughter could do it from the comfort of her own home. The report and recommendations at the end were very constructive and applicable. I would recommend to anyone who is looking to identify dyslexia in their child.
