My SwimTrek vacation in Sardinia
My SwimTrek vacation in Sardinia, Italy was one of the most spectacular travel experiences of my life. Each day, our group swam approximately 7 kilometers through the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, surrounded by Sardinia’s breathtaking coastline, hidden coves, and dramatic rock formations. The daily swims were both physically rewarding and visually stunning, offering a unique perspective of the island that few visitors ever experience. The warm sunshine, vibrant turquoise water, and sense of adventure made every swim unforgettable.
What truly elevated the trip was the exceptional support provided by the SwimTrek team. Our two guides (Aless & Sam) were knowledgeable, encouraging, and attentive, ensuring that every swimmer felt safe and confident while enjoying the challenge of the open water. Equally impressive was our boat captain (Luca), whose skill and professionalism allowed the group to focus entirely on the beauty of the experience. Together, they created an atmosphere of camaraderie, fun, and trust that made the journey even more special. By the end of my six (6) days, I had not only completed an incredible swimming adventure but also created memories that I will cherish for years to come.

Fantastic experience
These trips are fantastic. I have been to the Sea of Cortez twice and had a safe, structured experience seeing amazing sea life and meeting new friends in a way that doesn't feel exploitative of the natural environment.

Very Knowledgeable Guides in a Beautiful Location
The location (Loreto, Baja California Sur) was wonderful not only for the clear waters and the abundant marine life but also for the attractive town itself. Without the knowledgeable and attentive guides however, it would have not been possible to swim safely and enjoyably in the various islands (part of a National Park) off the shore. Our swims were selected for their beauty and for the weather/water conditions when we were doing them. The guides were also very attentive to out capabilities and limits.

Swimtrek Kaş must-do!
Our SwimTrek in Kaş Turkey was wonderful in that the daily swims were beautiful, guided extremely well by staff and the food was great. There’s no pressure to swim if you don’t want to, but how could you not! Accommodation was great with very clean rooms and a lovely assortment of breakfast items that changed daily. My overall fitness has improved dramatically thanks to the pre training and my anxiety about being able to keep up was extinguished early on as the swimmers are grouped according to ability. Also, SwimTrekkers keep an eye on each other so you’re never adrift without support. Some challenging swims (crossing between islands) and less challenging but no less enjoyable swims along the coast. Plenty to see underwater from relics such as old planes and tanks, to fish and even a turtle or two! Highly recommend. Thanks SwimTrek.

An outstanding experience. The 'guides' were exceptional, incredibly experienced and knowledgeable and completely giving with all the information that they had. A fantastic bunch of fellow participants too. Location was stunning, crystal clear water, all the swim locations were very easy and quick to access.
