We expected a more detailed report to include photos and damp measurements. We would also have expected the building survey to take longer than 45 minutes, the report we received had significant differences than those of the sellers survey which was only 4 years ago therefore making the decision on the proposed purchase more difficult. Having contacted the sellers we were left having to decide which survey to believe. The sellers also unblocked a gully which was reported as blocked, quite easily using a pressure washer as our report had no photos we do not know if that was the gully in the report. We feel like we paid for a full survey and only got a home buyers instead.

Found on a Google search and what a find! The best price by a lot, survey arranged and completed in 2 days , personal call from the surveyor to discuss findings ( highlighting things we had overlooked like the need for building regs for an improvement made ) and an immediate response from Survyors Local to a follow up query. Outstanding. Hopefully won’t need to use them again as I love the house we are buying, but obviously from these comments, wouldn’t go anywhere else for the survey.

The Surveyor was prompt in booking the survey. The report was produced quickly and e-mailed to me. When speaking to the surveyor he was very easily understood, no technical jargon.

Very expensive arrangement fee, nearly £200. Initially surveyor used advised by serveyor local to send me the bill having already paid. Very annoying/stressfull. Not recommended at all.

Used Surveyor Local as I came across it in one of the youtube videos explaining what surveyors do. The experience with them has been great. The response time and arranging the surveyor went very smoothly. very happy with the details of the survey. Although it is very technical and I didn't fully understand it, so am still reading it. I went for the full report rather than the homebuyers report, as this is my first time buying an old property and the property is aimed to be long term residential. From the vendor I heard the surveyor who went to the property was very professional and polite, so that's very good. The report was produced in a timely manner and the cost was very competitive.

Customer service is up to the point they take your money. I did not experience any customer care/standard afterwards. The survey was not on the day initially promised; it was promised that they will ask the surveyor to accelerate report due to this inconvenience - no sign of it - still waiting for the report; very poor communication from the surveyor itself; I had to contact and follow up. Try alternatives!
