Not very helpful

Not very helpful to say that they wanted me to do all of the legwork regarding an accident that damaged my powerchair, I still haven't resolved the repair quotation or an engineers report as I can't find anyone reputable to carry out the work, they all want money upfront and I can't afford to do that, despite me loosing confidence in these people who are still taking the monthly payments out of my account and my powerchair remains unusable.

I have two powerchairs insured with Surewise, and talking to other people regarding having insurance, I find out that it's not a legal requirement, so I am having serious thoughts about cancelling both policies with them as it's money down the drain.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how frustrating it must be to be without your powerchair and to have difficulty arranging an inspection.

In order to assess any claim, insurers do require an independent engineer’s report or quotation to confirm the damage and appropriate next steps. We appreciate that arranging this can sometimes be challenging, particularly for more specialist equipment.

Your claim can be reopened at any time once the required documentation is available. In the meantime, we would recommend contacting the manufacturer of your powerchair, as they are often best placed to advise on qualified engineers familiar with the equipment.

Where possible, we are also happy to help point customers in the direction of suitable engineers, and any reasonable inspection or call-out costs can typically be considered as part of a claim.

Clarification of Policy

I rang up today to clarify the policy with outdoor storage containers. I spoke to Allison who couldn't answer my question initially but we scheduled a call back later on. Allison rang me back after chatting to a different internal team and went above my initial question. I got the clarification I was seeking and all my other concerns/questions were listened to and answered accurately. A very humanising pleasurable customer service experience in the world of AI.
