Poor water pressure.
A great idea easy enough to turn the water off but my water pressure is very poor now especially in the bathroom, upstairs. Unfortunately mine is fitted behind my new kitchen cupboards and I am unable to access it with taking my new kitchen apart. I wish I hadn’t bothered

Just had a Surestop fitted in my new bathroom. It's useless in my opinion. We have lost our water pressure since its been installed and I am having my plumber back to get rid of the damn thing and put the brass stopcock back on. Utter rubbish.

Won't switch back on
Switched the water off. Won't switch on again- so no water for the weekend. Can't find any fault finding info online. Shall replace it with traditional stop cock asap.

I applaud innovation but this product is an exception.
I am a retired product designer and thus applaud innovation but this product is an exception.
I have recently moved home, current property is well appointed and well maintained. I was pleased to note that there was a SureStop valve in the airing cupboard isolating the external garden bib taps, but I also noted that the flow was poor compared with other faucets however, I was prepared to tolerate that for the collateral convenience.
Without notice the Samgamo Central heating controller burnt out due to water ingress, on investigation I discovered that the SureStop valve was the culprit. There was a perforation somewhere in the middle of the sheathed dual extension pipe and water was leaking out of both ends of the sheathe soaking 60% of the airing cupboard contents and trashing £60.00s worth of Sangamo electronics.
To add insult to injury when I enquired about a replacement pipe I was told that they do not supply spare parts and it would be made to order.

Nonstop water hammer 24 hours a day
Seemed ok to start ,then gradually started banging until now it's unbearable.
First it banged when taps /toilet/ ANYTHING was turned off.
Now it bangs every five minutes 24 hours a day when nothing is calling for water.I can hear it in my bed at night.
I sent surestop this email on 20 Jan.18:34 :
Hello , at least 6 months ago my sure stop [with remote button] started causing water hammer every time a tap / toilet or ANY appliance is turned off.
Now it hammers constantly even when NOTHING in the house is being turned on or off.
I can hear it in my bed when NO appliance is in use.
This week it CUT OFF the water twice . It finally decided to restore my supply after approx. 10 minutes !! [ I was in the shower on one occasion ].
I phoned Severn Trent and they said it definitely was NOT them turning off my water supply ,so it was your faulty Sure Stop.
I have since read reviews of your product and other people are reporting the same horrendous problems.
I phoned a plumber and he knew straight away what my problem was when I said the words Sure Stop !!
I wish I had never bought the thing. WHY do you continue to sell it ? It is not fit for purpose .
Now I have to pay a plumber to get it off again !!!!I It is over 2 years old so I suppose you will not care or at least reimburse me my plumber's fee for getting rid of it ?
On 21 Jan. 14:43 Sian Frame replied with this email :
I thank you for taking the time to reach out to us notifying us of your issues. At Surestop we take any issues seriously and I will have this forwarded onto to the Head of our Customer Service team for you.
Thank you
Sian

Your Head of customer service team has not replied to me. So thanks for nothing !!
I presume they are not interested because it's over the useless 2 year guarantee period.[ A so called stop cock should last longer than 2 years.Brass ones DO ].
The plumber has quoted at least £150 to replace the sure stop with a real brass stop cock.
Also ,he has got to butcher my new kitchen sink unit to get to it.
DO NOT BUY !!

Resolved
For an update. I was contacted this morning and it now fully operational again, thank you Luke for dealing with this in professional manner.
When I bough I-water valve it was difficult to set up the App and account. Now I have technical problems with the App working on my iPhone and no one from Surestop has responded despite 2 emails and 3 phone calls with a promise there IT will ring me back. Terrible customer after care and still it resolved.

Fitted one of these for a customer…
Fitted one of these for a customer about six years ago. Attended to do some more work last week and found that the original sure-stop had been leaking, obviously for some time. The leak had rotted out a concealed part of the floor and some joists which I then had to cut out and replace.
I attempted to purchase a replacement Sure-stop from my local plumbers merchant and they said they didn’t stock them anymore because “they all leak”.
I purchased one from a well know high street chain and fitted it. It leaked immediately.
The customer asked me to replace and hard-plumb the original stopcock in a more accessible position.
I contacted Sure-Stop who replaced the new one without any quibble - which allowed me to get a refund from the supplier.
Sure-Stop refuses to accept that they have an issue with their product despite a massive number of poor reviews. I certainly will not be fitting one of these ever again despite the helpful customer service.
As many others have said, great concept but it just doesn’t seem to work.

Fitted a surestop stopcock for 15mm pipe 2 years ago and is now leaking, great while it lasted
I installed a surestop valve around 10…
I installed a surestop valve around 10 years ago and it worked for around 2 years and then wouldn’t isolate the water so I replaced it and that one worked for around 3years, I again replaced it and it was fine although I haven’t had to use it until recently when I was replacing the kitchen tap and it failed again. I emailed the company over a week ago for advice as to why this occurred but never received a reply. I was disappointed by this.

Very good product and best after sales ever
Seven years ago I purchased a surestop and until today it done it's job flawlessly. Recently the remote switch began to leak and made contact with Sian of Surestop explaining my concern. His reply was that I will be posted with a new remote switch immediately. I even had a telephone call from surestop to see about the fault. I was surprised that even after seven years this was shipped to me free of charge. This is what I call after sales with balls. I recommend anyone to make contact with surestop before posting any bad reviews. Sure they will handle the call very diligently. Keep up your excellent work.

Communication disappointment
I have 4 of these on various appliances and the mains water supply. 3 off them leak from the switch in the off position. Have tried to call surestop and just get an answer message saying that the voice mailbox is full and that the office closes at 16.00hrs. time of call was 15.00hrs.
This is not helpful and not the first time I have called them.

Unfair review
I had initial problem with th8s as stopped working. However,it was difficult to say if faulty part or installation.
The engineer has fitted a new one & so far,so good.
In fairness to Surestop they did their best to communicate with me but as I could not return part, little they could do.
I hope all works well now & even our engineer said they usually work fine.
So Thankyou SureStop.

Great idea. Pathetic Quality
Great idea - plumber's merchants push these all the time - BUT AVOID unless you want leaks. I've had two, both professionally fitted. The first lasted 2 years and was replaced after a slow leak that wrecked the floor. The second lasted 18 months. This time the water flowed up the tube to remote, damaging the kitchen unit.
This has now been removed.
Why can't such a good idea be met by providing a robust, quality product escapes me !

What a great little product
I saw one of these on a home improvement show so thought I’d give one a go. Well what a great little product, about 45 minutes to install and does exactly what it says on the packaging. I fitted the switch in the top front corner of the cupboard and it works a dream.
I then decided as my mother in law as mobility issues that mean she can’t reach the bottom shelf in a cupboard let alone the back of it, again 45 min to install and she loves it. It’s all ready priced it’s weight in gold, She had a new dishwasher installed by AO and the first time she used it water started poring on to the kitchen floor, all she remembered in her panic was to flick the switch on the surestop. She then called me and I went round. Fault found (AO left the blanking plug in on the trap for the waste. Re plumbed the waste turned back on via the switch pumped out and hey presto all fixed.
She was really happy with the surestop as was i. Can’t fault them at all.

Just had one of these products fitted…
Just had one of these products fitted in our new kitchen. Asked the plumber to put one in as heard great things about them. I am disabled so cannot work a manual stop cock myself but can flick a switch.
Im delighted as it’s one less thing I have to worry about being able to sort. I can use my app on my phone.
Will recommend to anyone.

Excellent product
I purchased a Surestop after a recommendation from a friend of mine who had fitted one at his Mother-in-Laws after she had encountered a leak.
I have just recently had a new boiler installed so at the same time I asked the plumber to install the Surestop and it really is a useful product where you can literally turn the water off easily and instantaneously by pressing a switch which is installed in a convenient place.
I will recommend to my friends for future.

Had a Surestop fitted approx 10 years ago. Seemed like a great idea until recently the part that is fitted to the pipe exploded under the floor. Because this was the only stop tap, I could not turn the water off and had to resort to struggling with the main water meter tap down on the street.
