In 2014 I purchased iSkysoft Data Recovery Pro for Mac, a legitimate perpetual licence. My installation file became corrupted and I simply needed a re-download link — nothing more.
Wondershare's response was to tell me the product is "11 years old" and suggest I buy their Recoverit software instead. Here is what they conveniently omit: iSkysoft and Wondershare are not separate companies. They have always operated under the same corporate umbrella, sharing the same technology. In 2020, Wondershare formally absorbed the entire iSkysoft product line. They did not "acquire" iSkysoft — they were iSkysoft. The responsibility for honouring licences sold under that brand is entirely theirs.
I was not asking for new features, updates, or ongoing technical support. I was asking to re-download software I already paid for. That is a minimal obligation to a paying customer, and they refused it.
Their proposed solution: pay them again. The same company that abandoned its own customers is asking those customers to buy from them a second time.
I note that other iSkysoft customers have had their issues resolved by Wondershare support — so the capability exists. They are simply choosing not to apply it in my case.
I do not recommend purchasing any Wondershare product on a perpetual licence basis. Based on my experience, they consider that obligation void the moment it becomes inconvenient.
I owned Wondershare Filmora 15.5 which I use only for DVD to video file ripping. I haven't used it in a few years. I went to use it and was told I needed to PAY UPGRADE to 17 to use the product I already owned. Fine. I paid $40 to upgrade.
It did not perform well. The audio conversion was scratchy and dropping out. I found a free solution online and used that instead.
I immediately requested a refund. I was sent a VERY LONG response that I failed to meet their refund requirements and my REFUND WAS DENIED.
I notified my bank to STOP PAYMENT on this item as well as notifying FILMORA that I would be removing the product from my computer.
Right now is not possible download YouTube videos as usual, Please return this functionality to the app

On all occasions the responses have been effective, positive and decisive.
Excellent and very easy to use software for recording films, classical ballets ad music video clips. With it I make DVDs and music CDs of my favorite films and music. I am very satisfied and enthusiastic about this software and the Wondershare support service

If you compare it with coreldraw then you see the difference in the handling. If you would polish a little here and there it would help. Then do a bit more in marketing. If you would advertise differently you could sell much more.
I could write here a book but that go to far. Anyway it is an exiting tool, Ilike it.

I reached out for help after my Wondershare product kept crashing and couldn't find any solutions myself. 3 weeks and many repetitive emails later their agents just keep sending me their templated responses detailing how to uninstall their product, which is poor to see but even worse their instructions are 20% text and 80% images that come through as broken URL links I can't see or access. I paid for a perpetual licence so I'm going to strongly advise you not to waste your money on this company if considering them. - and yes I have explained countless times uninstalling is not fixing my issue and that all their instructions are just broken image links that I can see. If you want to use any of their software after reading this at least buy it as a subscription so they have reason to help when issues come up.
*edit - I was contacted by someone else from the support team following my review and they helped resolve my issue.

I prefer V13 of Uniconverter for my special use, but not being the most current version it was v hard to locate on the www. One message sent to the Company resulted in a next day reply, giving me the link which was superb service

The Uniconverter has always worked the way I needed it. Recently, after my computer died, and I was forced to buy another one, I had to re-download the software. When I had trouble getting it to work, Wondershare responded to my email quickly, instructing me how to re-install it, and it worked perfectly. It made a process that was (and for me, usually is) a stress-filled hassle a bit easier, and worth the one-time cost I paid when I purchased it. Thanks!
