AVOID THIS COMPANY CON ARTISTS

Bought a set of stans wheels, took over 3 weeks to arrive by the time these had arrived I had my old wheel repaired and back.

Finally got out on these rims for the hub ring to be wrongly threaded. So first climb I was sent packing back home.

Sent these wheels back over 3 weeks ago to be told “send them clean as dirty ones get left to last” they didn’t leave the car park.

Now being told “waiting on a part for wheel machine”

I’ve had these wheels 6 weeks...

Asked for a refund and was told no as it’s at their discretion

I bought 3 sets of Alloy Chainring Bolts for my Shimano and Stronglight Triple Chainsets. The design of the barrel nuts means the bolts go threadbound before they tighten up. The bolts do not fit either a brand new Shimano Deore chainset, a 1991 Shimano Exage 300LX chainset or my Stronglight Impact Triple Chainset.
Worse still Superstar Components won't accept the bolts back for a refund. There is no way I would buy anything from them again. Very poor to non-existent Customer Services. Very very poor.

Hmm what could I write that's not verbal diarrhoea, just ask for you money back on a faulty product and repeat what the managing director sends you! Non existent customer service, don't bother.

Seems to me people expect too much, dont spend £5 and expect £50 worth ! Do your research before spending your hard earned !!
I've bought a few bits from SSC and never had a problem with any of it. Always prompt delivery, well packaged.
Keep up the good work Neil, dont let pessimists grind you down.

Shocking service! After noting down the expiry date of a recent discount promotion from their website I find that when applying the code the site shows that it had expired within the time limit! On questioning them their excuse for not honoring it was "a typo" and the date should have said the 28th not the 29th. Really! That's just weak and your mistakes are not my problem. I'm in a mtb club with over 500 members and I will be informing them all of your "mistake". Shame on you!

Superstar are selling Tesla Evo freehubs and pawls as a spares for the old Tesla Evo hub. Warning, the design has been designed incorrectly and the hubs will fail, so do not purchase the parts. Their suppliers in Taiwan sent me the following....To potential customers, do not purchase these parts as the design of the hub, freehub and pawls is faulty. It is a known issue and will mean your hub will fail. Superstars suppliers in Taiwan have sent me the following:- The problem is the wrong design of 36T ratchet rings and the wrong angle of pawls system.
It’s unhelpful of replacing the new freehub body or CR-MO freehub body on Tesla EVO.
It will failure again………...
This means the parts have a design problem and it is a known issue but Superstar are still selling the parts!! Very worrying, since the freehubs break inside the hub and cause it to lock together and the back wheel will lock solid when you are riding.

Bought set of DTSwiss rims with switch hubs(cheap deal) after about 5 months(200 miles)the freehub broke. Sent back and repaired under warranty. Now again after doing similar amount of miles same problem with freehub. This time superstar have said its a lack of maintenance that has caused this and the bearings need replacing. Rubbish excuse I have 2 other bikes with other hubs that have covered 4 times the miles and no problems at all. I would stay clear of their hubs and buy some other brand. You get what you pay for in the end. Someone else has had the same issue if you read through the reviews on here. Would have given 1 star but the deal was cheap but don't do a cheap deal then fail your customers on warranty due to poor product.

Superstar sent me this email on how to get my wheel back from them after I said I would never buy from them again. I offered to pay the return postage but the day after they sent this email to me.

I'm a old customer, before they got thru to the industry

The products are great.
handlebars, seatposts, saddles (they do what they are ment for)
the grips are awesome (the long ones)
pedals had a pair of the old evos for 4years, spinning like the first day (sold them to a friend who still runs them), got the new ones (even more awesome)
the shipping is fast, fast package
the new vent discs are a bit loose, have alot of play between the brake surface and the spider (over 1mm), but the old alpine we're awesomeee!

They seem to have gone from decent customer service to non existing custom service. There products vary a lot in quality. To be more specific I find their hubs to be rubbish. I recently returned a hub for a warranty issue, but ended up being accused for using high pressure cleaning (wich is completely false) and they did not take any responsibility. I was refused any refund, not even the shipping cost. Above that they even refused to send the hub back, that must be criminal... 😕

I bought a wheelset last year and needed to send the front wheel back to have the hub replaced it was done under warranty, it was a quick turn around, they have a good range of components and good prices.Well happy with the service i have received.

Quality is second to none, never had any issues with components I've bought; grips, bar ends, saddles, bashguard/bashring.

Quick postage and quick delivery.

While ive only heard good things about their components, their customer service is so poor I dont think I'll get the chance to try them out for myself. God forbid you ever have to try to talk to people at Superstar, because you'll wait ages for a brief reply which wont actually help...

Order from them narrow wide chainring I got huge discount they shipped real quickly and I received a package in perfect order really happy with a product

Loved my first order, and the Superstar service worked very well, a little slow to get Portugal, but it was used the Royal Mail/ CTT service (slow slow slow)!!!

Very prompt service. Part I ordered was very good price, quickly delivered, some useful extra bits included, and we even got a small packet of Haribos - my favourite:-)

I've been running Superstar components on my bikes for the last couple of years and they've always performed faultlessly - from simple items like brake pads, through to handlebars, rotors, grips and custom wheelbuilds.

Everything has been bang on - and I'm no lightweight XC gaylord - I race Enduro at international level (EWS and SuperEnduro) as well as domestically. Never had a single problem and will continue to use Superstar parts for many years to come.

I use Superstar for my Mountain Bike consumables and bling and can't fault them.

For brake pads, for example, they source pads from major manufacturers and sell them for around half price of the major brands (i.e. the people whose name is on your brakes). My bike stops. End of.

I've also had lockon grips with fancy colours and they look ace. My son's bike is getting bling stem and quick release collars to make it look suitable for a teen about town - all at brilliant costs, delivered quickly.

Oh, and FREE HARIBO! What can possibly go wrong?
