I received an outside storage box as a gift from my son. I wanted it because I have taken up smoking meats and wanted more outside storage to accommodate this.
The Suncast box turned out not to constructed very well. I experienced two separate issues. The first problem was finally resolved after nearly two months of back and forth emailing with the Company. The second problem probably should have resulted in an offer to replace the merchandise. But that wasn’t an option.
I believe that the quality of materials with Suncast products is below average. And I do not think that I will be a future customer of theirs.

Hinges came apart were attached to lids. Suncast blames ME for faulty install (please, I could shed from scratch I can build a deckbox). I contacted SUncast and had pictures and wanted a warranty replacement. IMMEDIATELY they blamed me for improper assembly and refused to have their quality engineer call to explain this. Complaints to BBB and NYS Consumer Protection met with the same feedback by company stating "Consumer is to blame and not Suncast"

The worst customer service I've experienced. I registered my product back in 2020 and Suncast lost my receipt saying I sent them a wedding seating chart (why wait 3 years to tell me? Not married; never attended a wedding). When the plastic shed arrives, the corners are flat and you bend them at 90 degrees to install. That part is splitting so clearly not a build issue but a manufacturing one. I've never encountered a company less willing to honor a 10 yr warranty in my entire life. I will never buy their products in the future.

We have one of their shed and w/ the sun that beats down on the corners they crack. And back in 2019 when we bought it there was no content stating it needed to be on a concrete slab so we put it on a brick slab over sand and gravel and had it level and stable. Well NOW for the SECOND time the corners in the front are cracking and they will NOT warranty it stating it needed to be on a concrete slab or wood slab. But they warrantied it the first time! Now they just want us to buy the panels and I am highly disappointed in this company. I will not recommend them to anyone ever again! I will go w/ Costco ones or another brand but these guys will NOT honor their warranty. They are finding anything possible to not replace the two parts that are cracking!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

We own multiple suncast products which includes 2 large sheds and outdoor chairs, and hose reels. In one of the sheds I will always find water inside after a rainy day. I always assumed it was probably getting in from the front door(windy rain). But after I noticed one of the roof brackets was getting rusty I finally decided to check the roof. It’s full of cracks all along the middle. My wife reached out to suncast with our original proof of purchase(3 years ago). And the customer service response really pissed me off. They said that their engineering and quality team determined that since the damage did not appear during the first year of the product’s life it was not covered under their warranty!!!!! Which I found really stupid after they allegedly offer a *10 year warranty*. Theses cracks could have been there I just always assumed water was getting in through the door. Oh well, now we are stuck with a broken shed after only 3 years!!!
Im just wringing this review to help future buyers not to fall for the 10 year warranty marketing gimmick.
No more Suncast products for us.

I had to call Suncast to purchase leader hose and gave the rep the model number for hose reel I have to get the correct leader hose shipped to me so once I got one end didn’t fit so I called and the rep listen to my call order on 5/9/23 and said I agreed to the male/ female leader and wasn’t explained to me the difference but told her the model number hose reel I had needed a female/female and invoice didn’t have the name leader on it so a customer doesn’t know Suncast terminology male/female and female/female just how it locate on hose reel. They didn’t exchange the product but I would have to buy another! So very bad customer service when brand new product

This reel fell apart the first day. $89.00 from Home Depot with higher hopes. First time I decided to get anything like it. Just garbage from the start. Cannot tell you how disappointed I am in this product. I honestly can’t believe with all these bad reviews Home Depot even continues to sell this. The box fell apart hose stopped evenly distributing after the first couple reels. Should have known better with plastic crap. I would be embarrassed if I were in charge of this company. Returning it as soon as I can.

Suncast is the worst company by far. I will continue to make this known with everyone I come in contact with who attempts to buy. They absolutely do not stand behind their warranty. They make up all kinds of excuses to not replace your item. All I wanted was a lid replacement and they couldn’t even do that. So then I just broke down and decided to purchase and they wanted to charge over $200 for shipping and mind you the lid was under $40. Worst company and worst customer service. Do not buy, run, their products aren’t worth it. I did not purchase lid due to shipping cost. At that price I can buy a whole new deck box which is not the idea.

The Suncast horizontal storage 4 x 6 shed is worst product and their customer service is just as poor. Their documentation stays to be level on concrete or wood. Followed instructions, perfectly level. Door and lid latch not aligned. Their director want to correct by adding shim as this causes the product not to be level. They do not stand behind their warranty for a product 5 days old. I would not recommend Suncast to anyone. Buy lifetime better customer service.

It seems they don’t cover the material they use for the boxes they make. I have bought 2 outdoor boxes and lived with one of them warping in about a year. I thought I’d give it another chance and bought a more expensive one. It seemed better designed but the screws in the lid stripped the material. The reinforced metal strip held but the lid material could not hold the screws. Suncast said their warranty did not cover the material - that it should have stripped in the first year???

We purchased a Suncast 78 Gallon Deck Box.

Incredibly easy to put together with no tools whatsoever.

It is very big and sturdy. It will be headed outside tomorrow !!!

Even after reading the reviews I decided to get the vertical 6X4 from CostCo. All the parts were in the box, instructions were simple and easy to follow. Even with just one usable arm (just had shoulder replacement) the shed was easy to assemble with a little help from my wife. There are numerous videos on YouTube showing the nuances of assembly. Figure on about 1-1/2 hours from unboxing to filling the shed with tools. One caveat to this review - I did not have to communicate with customer service.

Never met with very poor customer service. 4/14 I bought one at the sams club, and the door latch hosing and door latch are not separated as written in the manual, but connected together. I called and they sent pictures of how to separate the two door latches. But I found that they put the two ends upside down. It's not like the two-headed row in the picture at all. The customer service lady said she would send it for me. The door latch is 2 sets, I thought 2 would be sent to me but only 1 was received. Called again but customer service said the manager wanted me to pay for one myself. unacceptable! And they have warranty service. I asked to speak to the manager on the phone. I told her that the two sides of the door latch put together are wrong and different from the picture. She was very adamant that it was the same. Just when the customer service staff lady and my child saw that it was put upside down and now it's stuck and can't be taken out. She didn't misread the picture thinking she was the manager. Make sure I pay for not helping. She is an unqualified manager. Can't even understand simple pictures How to do it in that manager position?
I am not recommended this products. Because they had such bad bad unprofessional customer experience!!!!!!

Hose real is junk, showed them a picture of what broke off, they said my warranty is not valid because it was not used for its intended use, can you believe that!! I used it for my hose, how insane does that sound!! I agree what a piece of junk, Home depot is not much better as they were no dam help as well.

Hose reel is junk lid and handle broke within first week . Customer service is a joke

Bought Sucast 10x7 BMS9000 from costoco. They have manipulated the ratings on costco.com and amazon. It is peice of junk. They did not even ship the right parts. The walls don't fit the base properly It is s toy shed that no one should buy.

Missing pieces and horrible instructions. We put together any products, even a pergola, but the instructions for this shed are horrible.

On June 9, 2014, I bought two RS125 auto rewind hose reels from Costco.

On January 17, 2023, the valve handle on one of the hose reels broke and I contacted Suncast to purchase a replacement part. The warranty had long expired and I fully expected to pay for the replacement part, however, I was told "we have no parts."

On January 19, 2023, I returned the product to Costco and was credited $75.76.

I will never buy another Suncast product, and strongly suggest that the reader do likewise.

I purchased a hose reel (with a slight leak from the outlet pipe, noticed after connecting to water spigot) (inside the cross brace) area after 6 months the pipe completely broke. I contacted Suncast and was asked to send pictures, I completed the task and was notified that this could not have been by manufacture defect. I stated that I was a civil engineer and that a crack could continue under pressure and time. They stated that is was "not their fault" and that I could buy the part at $8 and pay for shipping at $16, I only paid $29 for the entire reel from Home Depot. This company offers very poor customer service. I would not recommend this company for any product they sell.

Inevitably, parts on these hose reels will fail. Try to order replacement parts and you will get totally screwed on shipping. I needed to $3 part, cost $15 to ship it. Result, to repair the less than 1-year-old hose reel, I would have to spend 25% of what I have paid for the hose reel originally. You can either be held for ransom or just don't buy their products. Ames products makes a line called Never Leak which are higher quality and fail less often.
