This business is a joke terrible…
This business is a joke terrible service Don't seem to care need to Hire more drivers wasted the hole day waiting for delivery No Show what a joke Of A company
This company overcharges for propane and extremely non-caring, rude staff
This company overcharges for propane, esp if you have a credit card on file. When we called them to get the market price, we were told that our tank is paid off so we have the prerogative to leave. After a few weeks we left. When I called to close the account, the lady asked me the reason for leaving. No apologies, nothing, sarcastically told me to have very grea.......t day. I was trying to check zero stars, but can't
Rude. Unyielding. Terrible experience
I called to order propane. I wad told that I could not get a delivery until I paid a balance due. I told the rep that we do not have a balance due because we have to prepay before every delivery. She said that the manager would call me. 24 hours later no call so I called back. I spoke with the same lady with no explanation why no one had called me back, found my bank statement from when the gas was paid for the delivery in question and she still would not investigate it. I know people try to get over but I have tangible proof that the prior order was paid for. When I asked how did I have a balance if I had to prepay she started talking in circles. Still couldn't speak to a manager, still conveniently out of the office. Mistakes happen. We all make them. But Suburban Propane was unwilling to look to see where the mistake was made. Unwilling to accept my proof. Rude. Unyielding, and not willing to look to see where the error was made.
Propane leak!!!!!
My oil furnace died which was very old! I decided to switch over to propane! After my new propane furnace was up and running I could smell propane throughout my home!I would contact the technician he would come out and tell me that it wasn’t propane I was smelling! After dealing with this for a week I contacted a technician that had his own Business. He came out and found a propane leak on the Manifold test port!! The company was also suppose to bring me another tank! I’ve called and still no tank! I pay good money and pay my bills on time and this is how I’m treating!!! Completely unacceptable!!!!
Great experience
For me, it was a great experience, they were able to get me a good price on propane. They stood by everything they promised and delivered. Their tech did an excellent job. Would highly recommend!
Outrageous fees
Long term customer. Rental fee went from $10.00/yr to $50.00/yr. Called to cancel account and have tank picked up. Offered to cut rental fee to $25.00/yr. Told rep I was not interested and just wanted the account closed and tank picked up. Was then told the pick up fee was $175.00. Told rep I would not pay the pick up fee and was then offered to cut pick up fee in half. Still not interested. Told them to just pick up the tank. Don't get involved with these people.
I own a campground that everything runs…
I own a campground that everything runs on propane from dryers, heater, hot water heaters....everything. We are putting in a commercial kitchen and had them come out to hook up the propane to the stove and the oven. The technician was here a little over 2 hours and everything looks great. The bill however! Just under $2000!!! We have had delivery issues whit Suburban Propane in the past. Running out of propane when we are on auto delivery and even a dangerously overfilled tank the driver kept filling it even when it was full. They had to drain some of the propane out of the tank to get it back to a safe pressure. Oh wait.... we paid for that propane you just drove away with and guess what? Still have the same delivery driver. Needless to say it is time to switch companies!
This place is terrible
This place is terrible. Customer service sux. Woman on phone could care less. Their whole approach is they think they are your only option. Fees are ridiculous. Their practice borders illegal if not flat out so. Do yourself a favor get someone else. Anyone else.
Rescinded Job Offer
I was offered a CSR position with a start date in the Tigard, Oregon office. Fast forward a few days and I get an email stating the offer was revoked. I emailed the office manager for more detail and never heard back.
We have a new build and were needing to…
We have a new build and were needing to have propane hooked up. Surburban has sent technicians out multiple times and they have been so pleasant, even though at times we didn't have things ready for them. I have to give a special shout out to Edgar and Brian. They were so patient with me and made sure that I fully understood everything before leaving. I'm sure that they got tired of all my questions, but they never showed it and gave me the best service possible. I appreciate their time and patience and 100% customer care when coming our to service our residence.
Bad customer service
They came out to draw up plans to install propane tanks for our standby generator. Didn't hear from them as to when they could install the tanks and lines. Called them and they had lost the plans. They had to come out again! Finally had the tanks installed and the contractor said that Suburban would come out the next week to fill them. They didn't do that. After 3 weeks of waiting, we called them. They said that they had no plan to fill our tanks!! This company does NOT have their act together. Bad customer service!
Aweful customer service
If I could, I'd give zero stars.
They don't seem to care about the law or their customers. I am a tenant and use propane for heat. So, my name is on the Suburban propane account. My next door neighbor hired people to do their fencing. The wooden fence was decaying and falling apart. Those poeple cut into the gas line that was somehow in the cement that held the fencing in the ground. Because the account is in my name, they targeted me and charged me a $350 fee to repair the line(gas tank was on the property well before I moved in). None of this was my fault. I didn't cut the line. I didn't bury the line and mix it with the cement. I just rent the place. Who would they charge if no one occupied my unit? My landlords refuse to take responsibility because they didn't cut the line. It's not their fault either. The jerks from Suburban propane decided to hit me with the bill instead. So now I have this copper gas line that had been laying on top of the lawn all the way from the tank to my apartment, since last spring. Will they bury it before winter and charge me for that too? Will they charge me for it if it gets destroyed somehow in the winter by someone who accidently trips on it? I don't know. I'm at my wit's end with them. They have terrible Customer service and do dirty business. A call to better Business Bureau might be the solution here.
Very difficult company to deal with
Very difficult company to deal with. Zero response, zero help and lots of time spent on hold to never actually reach a person.
Absolutely terrible customer service
Absolutely terrible customer service! I called Suburban Propane to get some help with my account, and the person on the phone was completely useless and rude (on more than 1 occasion). They acted like I was bothering them and couldn't answer a single question. They kept ignoring my questions and I never got any real help. It’s like they don’t care about their customers at all. Honestly, the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Stay away from these clowns if you value your sanity!
Ridiculous fees!
Ridiculous fees!
Read your contract before signing with suburban. I am settling my parents estate, and they will be charging a $50 account termination fee, and a $1 per gallon restocking fee. They aren't removing the gas because the new owners already signed up for the service. This seems extraordinarily unfair to me.
Illegal Operation Update
Illegal Operation Update
Edward, from SP called and left a VM.
After this company came onto my property, filled the tank after I have told them multiple times DO NOT put me on auto fill; even had notes with the Delivery Drivers stating that must call before coming to fill my tank; plus I have every phone call recorded and have had only called SP when I also have a witness in the room, because all they do is lie!
Edward calls to say “we discounted your delivery to 3$ a gal!!!” Lmao!
1- I didn’t ask for or approve the delivery in the first place, Edward.
2- I have the VM recording of your driver admitting they must call first and then he fills it anyway as I was not home to stop him!
3- the NC Propane rate is 3.32$ a gal.
You are telling me your “deep discount” for forcing a product on me, I didn’t request is .32 cents?
4- also this admits you were far over-charging at me at over 5$ a gal!
5– I did NOT agree to this term. I told the manager, who gave me his cell phone (I recorded him too), I do not want the fuel at all, I didn’t request it! I didn’t need it!
It is illegal and no where in your contract that I have to accept delivery of fuel or that I have to be on auto-fill!
Your company failed.
You also failed to come get the fuel out!
I’m guessing so that you can do what you are now!
Locking the tank cutting of my furnace, and my ability to cook so you can bully me into paying for the product I didn’t request or ask for!
Unlock my tank and drop your fees and charges. This is not on me legally. It’s on your propane mafia, forcing products onto customers they didn’t request. That’s called Robbery.
Zero out my account and unlock the tank. If I want fuel, I’ll call. Very simple.
I have been a customer of this company for several years.
I have been a customer of this company locally (Penn Yan, NY) for several years. I recently purchased a generator as backup from Isaac H&A in Rochester, NY. They came and did the installation work quickly and efficiently, up to the point where Suburban needed to bring a larger tank and place a regulator on the generator. Suburban Propane has not shown up 4 times when they said it would be done (with NO contact to let me know). Isaac has sent people from Rochester (50 miles away) each time to only sit and wait then leave without being able to complete the job. I currently have a $15000 hunk of worthless metal sitting in my yard. Today the local SP office said they would come Monday March 25th (which did occur). While I was away at a funeral Wednesday, however, they came and pumped 101 gallons into my 2 furnace tanks to complete the contract amount (while putting nothing in the generator tank)! I just spoke with them and NO ONE knows what they are doing, it just gets worse and worse. As I no longer have any faith in this company being able to deliver or even show up, I will be finding a new company for my June purchase this year. And I have contacted an attorney to file a claim of elder abuse. Suburban Propane is the United Airlines of propane companies and I have a lot of experience with that nightmare company. Avoid SP like the plague. Update: its is now October and the tanks are FINALLY gone from my driveway, however, I will now wait an eternity to be re-paid for the propane they over pumped and they are subtracting $136 for 're-stocking' even though I paid them $1200 in June of 2023! Do not get hooked up with this company unless you enjoy being ripped off.
Suburban wants to charge me $60.00 for…
Suburban wants to charge me $60.00 for Propane I have not ordered and transportation fuel surcharge $6.10 AND a late fee $0.99 Grand total of $67.09 This is above of there yearly tank rental fee. They are supposed to pick the tank up on APRIL 8 2024 Calling my lawyer to day this is B S
