I've used StyleSeat multiple times in the past. The stylists have been hit or miss, but no issue with the platform itself. Recently I booked an appointment and the stylist cancelled day of (about 4 hours before the appointment). I contacted StyleSeat about getting a refund for the booking fee since the stylist cancelled outside of the cancellation window and I have been going back and forth with them for over a week with no resolve. The booking fee is small, but it's the principal of the matter, especially at this point. I know they can see who cancelled the appointment (the stylist) and they can also see the appointment was not paid for, so there were no services rendered. At this point I'm just going to do a chargeback with my credit card since they are giving me such a hard time. Yes, I realize they have a booking fee to make money, but their policy states it will be refunded if the stylist cancels after the 24 hour cancellation window. I'm also pretty annoyed that I'm unable to review the stylist since she cancelled. I won't be using this platform again.

My hairstylist cancelled an appointment last minute and had a 911 with extensions. Although it was very helpful in a tight situation, I wouldn’t use to again going forward. I paid for the appointment and got $50 off new client. After checking out, the hairstylist said I had to pay her because the app wouldn’t let her complete service. I showed that i had paid and was trying to contact support so I wouldnt Get charged again. She said she was in a rush and to just pay her. I’m really upset that customer service wasn’t available.

I obtained my professional license in 1987 experienced Salon Ownership from 2004 to 2021. During the COVID pandemic I closed my Salon and relocated.

Style seat let's the hair stylist put fake pricing under her profile and when the stylist actually contacts you her prices are double what she posted. She refused to give me my deposit back.

I'm able to see new clients often since they are able to see my profile and book easily.
They could support the pros more when it comes to charge backs. I was sent a new client from StyleSeat marketing; the client came and received an expensive service, a month later reported it as fraud on his credit card and style seat took money from my bank account to reimburse him. When I sent pictures and video, they still found in favor of the client. That’s not right.
I really enjoy you all helping to get clients but 30% is steep for each client. You should allow intake forms to be completed and shown when taking clients you all sent.

Although I’ve paid both subscription and new client fees, the exposure I’m receiving through the platform doesn’t reflect the level of investment I’ve made. Much of the traffic seems to come from people sharing my profile independently rather than being generated directly through StyleSeat’s tools and outreach.
I’m committed to offering quality service, but I also value platforms that provide measurable results. I’d appreciate insights on how StyleSeat plans to enhance visibility and ensure fair value for professionals investing in your services.
