I really like the service by Jay on instagram.
But I need to say that the service of Nottingham two is terribly bad. Especially they are always leavening the emails behind and only say that they are busy and take no responsibility for their customers.
This review is only for Jay.

Really good accomodation - modern bedrooms and kitchens, really lovely staff who are helpful and available all day. Good communication from reception via email regarding maintenance checks, visits etc. Easy to check in and check out. Good stay in my first year would recommend, at Deakins Place Nottingham

I liked the room itself, spacious and really nice, didn’t like the amount of noise happening there while the maintenance was happening. People at reception were lovely and always happy to help

10 months of misery, all seasons. If you want feeling of living in industry or generator book right away. By the way last year there was deposit and now they are not taking it so you knowwww. Walls of almost carboard. Not welcoming place. All glitters on site are not true. No need to be impressed with show rooms the reality will be much different.
Also please note you will have free,
Noise, No privacy, Jail where no one listen to you.
Keep in mind you are paying to live in their space so in any mean it can not give you home like feeling so don't be fooled by their words.
For any complaints must wait month two or you might laugh 10 months as well, tap is still tripping you can check. D block is worse .

So i stayed 6 weeks, and it was alright. It was only disappointing that I couldn’t use the kitchen since it was way to gross and unhealthy for the first 2 weeks. But Paula fixed this and took responsibility (big love to paula) furthermore I felt a spring coil stabbing my back trough the mattress for 1,5 week until I figured out it was a spring coil. Also when i entered the room it was dirty in the bathroom and on the floor and it wasn’t cleaned (jacky took care of this) so id say the staff is great but the rooms could be better as this came with £700 a month and i would’nt pay that again

noisy neighbours and thin walls and floor boards have kept me up too many nights. There would be hours at a time of loud footsteps and creaking noises from the upstairs neighbour at 3am. However, everything else is pretty good.

Stayed at Brookland Road Leicester. Was decent accommodation. too expensive for what you get, especially without a lift when it is advertised with one when you visit. Had silver fish infestation that was not taken care of and initially blamed for in 1 year, then the next when the other people in the flat vomited everywhere in the kitchen and refused to clean it i was told I was being 'dramatic'. My best advise only go here if you know who you are with.

Horrible invasion of privacy and lack of accountability for their mistake.
I live in a studio in Sheffield 3, I was not given prior notice before the contractors come into my flat only to wreck it upside down, made holes in the ceiling and left this way until God knows how long.
All my things are on the floor as it cannot touch the wall.
I cannot live like this, I feel upset and wish to cry just seeing the state of my studio with all my personal items having to be piled up on the floor as if it’s trash.
For some reason I was asked to pay rent earlier and in a different frequency starting from this month which means just my rent Is £1638, I honestly feel like crying that I have to pay so much only to live in filth and with holes in the ceiling.
It’s very frustrating when all the money I save up goes into a crappy studio with crappy management who just barge in when they want to without notifying.
I was promised £1000 off rent if I rebook however they refuse to provide this in documentation and expect me to keep paying until last month without any proof. I feel like being cheated.
I also feel like I’m just trapped in this disaster of a studio now because I wish to move out but I can’t as I renewed my contract for next year and I will need to find another tenant to relieve myself from here.
My mail always gets tossed and thrown somewhere and I have to practically beg them to check and they’ll find it in a crappy corner where they’ve tossed it after pestering so much.
Complained and complained only to not have any respect or solutions to these issues.
I would NEVER recommend a soul to move here, however now that I’m trapped I have to upsell and try for a tenancy takeover as I’m DONE tolerating this.

I recently had a deeply frustrating and upsetting experience while moving from 4th floor to 9th floor at Student Roost York House, Nottingham. On the morning of 25th July, cleaners entered my flat on the 4th floor unannounced in my absence while I was in the process of relocating. Despite my clear communication about the move, several of my personal items were irresponsibly discarded in the garbage bin.
Among the items thrown away were irreplaceable family photos, an Alexa Pop, an adapter, a portable bidet, an extension box, an expensive puffer jacket, important documents and various other belongings. This incident, resulting from poor management and a glaring lack of communication within the staff, forced me to sift through garbage to retrieve my valuable and sentimental possessions—a distressing and utterly unacceptable experience.
Additionally, I am deeply concerned that, in a country like the UK where crime rates are a serious consideration, the management has given access to third-party cleaners to all rooms at York House. This practice effectively nullifies the security measures in place, posing a significant risk to the safety and privacy of all residents. The cleaners showed no remorse or simple courtesy to knock on the doors before entering the flat, further compromising our sense of security.
Despite mailing the management about this matter, I have not heard back in two days. The lack of response only adds to my frustration and raises serious concerns about the management's commitment to resident welfare.
The negligence shown here reflects a serious breach of trust and a failure to uphold the basic standards of tenant care and respect for personal property. I urge Student Roost York House management to take immediate and strict action to address this gross oversight and to review their management practices to ensure such incidents do not recur. Proper measures must be put in place to safeguard tenants' belongings during any relocation process and to improve communication channels among staff and residents.

Just recently, I had stepped out of the shower only to find a cleaner entering my room. This invasion of privacy is completely unacceptable and has happened before with other staff members and other random stranger walking in as well. The lack of communication and respect for residents' personal space is deeply troubling.
These incidents have not only caused significant stress but also made me feel unsafe in what should be a secure living environment. Despite raising these issues with the reception staff, their response has been consistently dismissive. They seem uninterested in addressing the problem or implementing any changes to prevent future occurrences.

My initial experience with Student Roost was outstanding. I have been looking for student accommodation in Aberdeen and therefore have approached multiple providers of such services. I can say that when it comes to customer service Student Roost - Pittodrie Street was the best out of them all without any doubt. The staff is very quick to get back to you, polite, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable about the property.
Since my very first contact with Student Roost, I thought that they are customer-oriented, and have my interest in their heart and I will be recommending them to everyone looking for student accommodation. Unfortunately, it has all changed, once I decided not to move to Aberdeen, and instead stay at my current place of residence in Glasgow.
I started looking for student accommodation quite early on, as it was the first quarter of 2024. Went there to see the property and asked several questions, one of them being about room availability. I was advised that room availability will change quickly and that it is best to book now. Since I don’t know where I will be accepted to the University, I asked what it looks like with cancellation. I was told that there would be no problem with cancellation if I didn’t get a place at the chosen University in Aberdeen or decided to study elsewhere.
So, I booked my room, signed the tenancy agreement, and shortly after got a conditional offer at the Universities I applied to. After careful consideration, I have decided to stay at my current home and continue my studies at a local University. Contacted them to ask how to cancel the tenancy agreement, and was advised that they will need to get in touch with someone above. After a while (suddenly they weren’t as quick to respond as before) they got back to me to advise that someone from my local Student Roost in Glasgow would get in touch with me, but I shouldn’t worry, as the same type of room is fully booked, so there won’t be a problem. However, my local Student Roost offered me an equivalent room at the same price, despite me not needing one, as I am staying at my family home. Once I refused, they said that my tenancy agreement couldn’t be cancelled, and I would have to find someone to take over my tenancy.
It has been over 3 months since my cancellation request. My room type is the only one which is fully booked, and there is a waiting list in place. Yet, despite me being one of the very first to book and cancel, no one has contacted me to say that they have found someone to replace me. This means that they are either convincing potential tenants to book other types of rooms which aren’t selling as well as the one I have chosen, or that they have so many cancellations. Both versions mean that they have convinced me that rooms soon will be unavailable and I should rush into signing the agreement, being fully aware that it’s not the case. No one has even mentioned the option to take over the tenancy from other students who wish to cancel their tenancy agreement at a later date. Should I know this, I would make different decisions.
It all looks like they are great to the point they get you as a customer. Once you sign the tenancy agreement, they take you for granted, it's your problem and they don’t care about you anymore.
Should I be looking for student accommodation in future, I will avoid Student Roost. It's not worth the stress. If the stress of going to University, waiting to get a place etc wouldn't be enough, they are the cause of another stressful situation. I don't have a place at University in Aberdeen anymore, yet I can be forced to pay for a room I do not need, and cannot afford anymore.
And just to be clear, I am fully aware that I should have read the tenancy agreement and ignored what I have been told by the property staff. But this is a student accommodation, dealing with young adults, for whom it will be their very first tenancy agreement. It’s not a fair playing field, a young adult entering adulthood against a big company with a legal team and several clauses protecting them, not you as a customer. The fact that they do offer only 7 7-day cooling off period, which is the minimum required by the law, shows what their intentions are.
So, I would encourage you to sign an agreement with Student Roost only when you are 100% sure you want to study there, and nothing will get in the way of your plans. Also, do not rush, their room will be available even at a later date. There are plenty of student who are cancelling their agreements and cannot find replacements. Trust me, I know – been looking for someone to take over my agreement for months, unsuccessfully, with no support from the provider at all.

I had a problem and tried to change my room (I haven't paid or signed anything yet) and they made it difficult for me to do so. When I explained the problem, they stopped responding.
They also stopped responding to questions on WhatsApp as soon as I booked a room.

Really nice accommodation 24 hours reception. Very nice and friendly receptionist. Love Caitie so much!!

The apartments are quite affordable, however, the student residing there are dirty and student roosts representatives don’t come often to do maintenance and Cleaning check which is bad. They should have a representative that comes each month to check how clean the apartments are.
The receptionist are friendly and they attend to your needs ASAP.

Clean and has easy access to transport (bus and train) as well as shops and the city center. The maintenance respond fast and communal cleaners do a fantastic job! The reception team is made up of fantastic individuals. Elaine, Olena, Amy, Alex, and Owen especially are very empathetic and chatty, which was nice for me as loneliness would hit from time to time. They made me feel at home. S/o to Nia for curating nice reception playlists and movies as well! I had a good stay.
