I hire a car for my holiday in Italy…
I hire a car for my holiday in Italy through stress free.
When I went to pick up basically I was asked for “ certificate of driving habilitation” , first time I heard of such documentation in many years of car rental.
Anyway they tried to let me have the car even without this important documentation as far I would pay £600 extra.
You can guess where I told them to go.
I checked the reviews about this car hire place and everyone had the same experience apparently.
Why does stressfree recommend such businesses?
Why don’t you check on them?
Anyway not using stressfree any longer as it could have ruined my holiday.
Lucky enough I managed to hire a car through a more professional broker.

Yes we all agree what the hiring agreement says ( driving licences etc..)
But this is not in real life when you go there and collect the vehicle.
Please refer to their web site reviews and you may have a clear picture of what am talking about as am not the only one having this issue,
Go through the reviews and see different people experiencing same issue and go from there.

We've reviewed your booking (ref 1609960844) and can confirm that the only documents required for this rental, as set out clearly in your booking confirmation, are a valid driver's licence, a passport or national ID, and a credit card in the lead driver's name. No "certificate of driving habilitation" is listed as a requirement for this booking.
Your booking confirmation also states clearly that you are not required to purchase any additional cover at the collection desk, and asks customers to let us know if they feel pressured to do so.

Solid service
Quick service, no unexpected fees, would use again.
Only marked down as the rate was quite high through a third party + the Flizzr website/customer support beforehand is fairly nonexistent. Now I have used them and trust the service I would happily use them again but as a first time traveller to Iceland this did make me nervous the first time.

Absolute nightmare service
Absolute nightmare service – DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I had a terrible experience with this company. On the very day of my arrival, I found out on my own that they didn't even have a car reserved for me. Nobody bothered to call me ahead of time to give me a heads-up, and nobody made any effort to fix the situation or offer a solution. To make matters worse, they refused to issue a refund! Completely unprofessional and dishonest. Save yourself the stress and book with someone else.

Mini panic
All really smooth until the drop off where there was a mini panic that the office was closed and I wanted someone to look over the car before I left. And I wasn’t given any instruction on what to do in the case of the office being closed. However luckily there was a member of staff in the car park that kindly looked over the car and we signed the document.
