Our central heating boiler stopped working. However seeing as it was over 20 years old, we had to bite the bullet and have a new one installed.
We wanted it moved from our loft to our garage. Steve and his team set about installing it.
Floors were lifted and piping installed. The refit took 2 days. Steve and his team worked tirelessly from 8am to beyond 5pm with only half hour lunch. They were all so polite and respectful. We are so pleased with the installation, thank you Steve, Ryan & Aaron.

Its with a heavy heart that i write this review,as i have previously used Stephen Charman before and thought the company was great, however this time it didn't work out so well, i think it does depend on what engineer you get and on this occasion it didn't work well. We called them out as we had lost pressure couldn't top up the pressure and could hear a strange humming noise, to cut a long story short the engineer checked the boiler gauges looked fine and we was told the noise is coming from the neighbors. They are the qualified plumbers so we went with that. Fast forward a month later we get a knock on the our door from southern water telling us they have just checked our meter which is spinning fast and that we have a leak somewhere they said didn't you hear any strange sounds or drop in pressure ( well funny you should say that), we get another plumber in who comes and checks what i would call the standard the pipes under the stairs by the stopcock, explains the humming is from a leak as the pipes are vibrating explained about our old stopcock which is slightly rusty and this can also drop pressure checked the taps by turning them on (standard) and we felt like they genuinely cared. now again i think it depends on the engineer but the guy we got didn't seem to do much investigating and was quick to just tell us everything was fine, (compared with other plumbers we had to get up after them) should i give 1 star based on this one bad engineer? well i called Stephen back to voice my opinion on what had happened and to be honest he didn't seem to bothered said he would have to find out what happened by speaking to his engineer but then never called me back ( why does he wanna deal with a unhappy customer seeing as he already has his payment for doing nothing) so i feel compelled to at least write my dissatisfaction.

An very elderly neighbour had problems with boiler. After 4 days of no heat or hot water and calling various plumbers, she must have phoned Stephen Charman's, who said they would attend the next day. After checking with her usual plumber he attended immediately and found the solution.
The lady had no idea or telephone number of who was coming the next day.
A plumber from Stephen Charman's did attend the following day as promised. We just wanted to say thank you for attending and sorry for your wasted time especially as plumbers are so busy.

I asked 5 local companies for quotes to replace my 20 year old boiler. All were good, but Stephen Charman was clearly the best. Gave me genuinely useful information about the best boiler for my situation, and what to look out for in the other quotes. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. The work of removing and fitting the new boiler and pipework was carried out without problem, by a great couple of guys, during lockdown.
