My bezel insert was as described, and manufactured to the high rollers necessary to fit my BB 58 GMT PERFECTLY. Kit included a replacement gasket, and I was able to complete the service with a new tool and some courage. Recommended!

I recently made my first purchase from Steel Reef after consulting their team in advance to make sure I selected the correct product. Only a few days after placing the order, the Black Friday discount increased from 15% to 25%. I contacted them to ask whether the difference could be honoured, especially since the timing was so close and I had followed their guidance when ordering.

Unfortunately, they refused to apply the updated promotion to my order. What made the experience worse was receiving a marketing email immediately after, promoting the full 25% discount — right after being told they couldn’t help. It felt inconsiderate and left me feeling unvalued as a customer.

The issue for me wasn’t the amount, but the lack of goodwill or flexibility. A small gesture of fairness would have gone a long way, especially for a first-time buyer and watch enthusiast. Instead, I’m left with a negative impression and won’t be returning.

My experience with their customer service has been disappointing, and I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

*Update*: I want to update my review after being contacted directly by Gabe, the founder of Steel Reef. He reached out personally after seeing my initial feedback, reviewed my order, and agreed that the discount issue should have been handled differently.

While the initial situation was disappointing, I genuinely appreciate the way the founder took responsibility and resolved the matter. His response showed integrity and a willingness to look after customers when something goes wrong.

I think it’s only fair to reflect that effort here, and I’m grateful for the resolution.

Utter useless liars theives

The on-the-fly link is the perfect accessory to my vintage “meters first” 5513. The bracelet now fits perfectly in warm or cold weather. Before, it had to be compromise-adjusted to be too loose for cold and a bit tight for warm. The link material and finish match perfectly also, and indistinguishable from OEM.

Steel Reef are the real deal. The quality of their components is right up there matching the products they are designing for. Innovative designs that are genuinely real-world useful and customisation that enables you to style your watch, your way with no compromise on quality. The bezel I got from Steel Reef is superb, straightforward to fit if you have some experience (use a local watch maker/repairer if you don't) and has transformed my Tudor into one of my favourite wears.

I thought I had an issue with fitting the extender link I'd ordered so Gabe the CEO contacted me directly to assist - fantastic customer care and attention.

Have brought an extention link from steel reef for my Tudor GMT. Amazing product and can now wear my watch comfortably without any issues.

The extension works very well on my Oyster Date 15200. Matches the OEM EasyLink on my 2024 OP 41. Great work!

I got this for my husbands Tudor GMT for his birthday. I dont really know much about it but he says the qualitys spot on, looks just like the Tudor link and its made the watch alot more comfy for him to wear. He's really happy with it

I have purchased the new released “On the Fly” extension link for my Rolex jubilee bracelet 62510H. The product is great. I am so grateful that someone created an easylink for my older model. There were some issues with the order and the shipment, and with their almost simultaneous response, those issues were solved immediately. It’s a highly recommended purchase.

Really poor communication,ie none and still wating 6 days and item still it dispatched ..

I ordered an extension link for my Sinn 556. The link works but is not exactly the same shape as the link you swap out - this limits the bracelet articulation and makes the link look slightly different from the rest. Not an enormous issue but disappointing. They get a promotion to 2 stars because they offered to replace or refund. The real issue was when I enquired about the differences they prevaricated and denied the differences despite being sent clear images and a diagram. Eventually, after increasingly frustrated communications, the owner, Gabe did engage directly and admitted without going into detail that the link has differences out of necessity - but to get this admission I had to endure gaslighting and have had to endure being called 'entitled', 'sarcastic', and 'disrespectful' along the way by the owner. Proceed with caution.
