Extremely small cabin size and rude, unhelpful staff

My standard overnight bag did not fit their cabin space. They said give it in checkin or we will offload you. I asked for insurance for bag and its contents because they are expensive and fragile, they said we can only give insurance for bag. They kept black mailing that give bag in checkin or we will offload you

Absolutely terrible experience with…

Absolutely terrible experience with Star Air on the Nanded–Hyderabad route.

Constant delays, poor customer handling, aggressive baggage fee collection, and zero professionalism. It genuinely feels like passengers are treated as an inconvenience rather than customers. Even carrying basic food or small personal items becomes an argument over extra charges.

What made the experience even worse was the highly unprofessional behavior of one airport staff member - Mr. Jaspreet Sandhu at Nanded who acted arrogantly and spoke to passengers as if he personally owned the airline and airport. Completely unacceptable attitude and customer service.

Sadly, people flying from Nanded have very limited alternatives, which allows this kind of poor service to continue. Travelers from smaller cities deserve better connectivity, better accountability, and respectful treatment.

Would avoid this airline entirely if there were any reasonable alternative.

One Star experience.

Digiyatra check-in wasn't available for Star Air. We had to get physical tickets despite already having e-tickets. Then, the flight itself departed 45 minutes late due to some technical issues.

Meanwhile, the passengers were sweating in temperature above 30°C, and the AC was throwing hot air. The attendants didn't bother giving us water until we asked them to.

Many passengers were irritated. A senior citizen complained about it, and the airlines employee said, 'Nobody except you is raising any objection.'

Everyone was dissatisfied, but didn't say any thing. The AC finally started throwing cool air fifteen minutes before arrival.

I myself had to consume four cups of water to avoid dehydration. Rude staff, unsatisfactory service.

My experience was very positive

My experience was very positive. They were the only airline that flew to a remote airport - Vidyanagar- both of our flights were punctual. The plane was a small jet - the seats were a little old but very comfortable and very spacious - much more room then you get in economy flying long haul in big airlines. Staff were friendly. I would definitely fly again.

Very Bad customer experience

Very Bad customer experience - I reached before boarding closure but the staff was not available at the counter and denied my checkin...just because they had given the checkin print out to the pilot and not ready to give the print again. Hopeless customer experience dont understand the importance of customer experience and importance why passengers are flying using short flights paying huge price, emergency, work projects. Go check out Bangalore Air-India the staff have literally come running with last passengers to get boarded to avoid any passenger miss. But front staff target is only close the counters and go stand near flight.

Pathetic Customer Experience and Misleading Practices by Star Air

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Star Air. Although web check-in is labelled as “optional,” their web check-in system repeatedly failed due to server issues, and customer care was completely unreachable, leaving passengers helpless with no support whatsoever.

At the airport, manual check-in counters were closed very quickly due to low passenger count, making it almost impossible to complete formalities unless you reach the airport 2–3 hours early. If you miss this narrow window, you are denied boarding and no meaningful refund is provided.

The behaviour of the airport staff was rude, unhelpful, and dismissive, offering no assistance despite explaining the situation. After lodging a serious complaint through AirSewa, instead of resolving the issue, the airline refunded only a negligible tax amount, effectively forfeiting the full ticket fare.

The lack of accountability, unreliable systems, poor ground handling, and evasive grievance responses make this airline’s practices appear misleading and unfair to passengers. This experience felt less like customer service and more like being trapped in a system designed to deny responsibility.

Passengers should be extremely cautious before choosing Star Air. If you expect basic digital reliability, responsive support, fair treatment, or proper refunds, think more than twice before booking.

Rescheduling a flight is the worst experience.. Star AIR you need to Improve

Yesterday I had the worst experience with flight rescheduling with Star Air. I booked the flight for 18/10/2025 from Bhubaneshwar to Hyderabad with the PNR number WX4JSJ at around 7:06 PM. Just after the booking, I thought of rescheduling my trip a bit. Then came the worst part: within the 10 minutes of my booking, I started calling Star Air's customer care. I was in the queue of customers, with my number being the 72nd. Then, after some time (around 10 minutes), the call got disconnected again. I also requested a return callback from the customer care, but no one called me. At last, I again tried calling customer care; the same thing repeated (the call got disconnected after some time); it took 4 hours and multiple calls to connect to the customer care executive.

After listening to my end of the story, he straight away said that I have to pay an extra 5400 for rescheduling the flight when the actual charges of the flight on the 22nd were 4500, which means I have to pay an extra 5000 for no reason. Then he said it happened because the time of departure for my flight is within a 72-hour window. But one thing to be seen here is that I have been calling all along to talk to the customer about rescheduling the flight.
According to me, it is not at all my fault. Had the customer care picked up my call the 1st time I called Star Air, I would have been well outside the 72-hour time frame.

I cannot understand why I have to bear the extra amount for rescheduling my flight when your airline doesn't have a good number of customer care executives. With the time taken for me to move up the queue from 72 to 0 (4 hours), it can be understood that there are only 1 or 2 customer care executives in the entire customer support team.

Star Air Denying Refund for Cancelled Flight

Star Air Cancelled flight No S5105 stating operational reasons and when asked for complete refund, denied the request.
PNR RS9254 and VETWKG

Now the company has stolen Rs 20,000 from me. I am going to raise further complaint with DGCA at AirSewa and INGRAM.

Shady business from a shady company. Stop before booking tickets from this company.

Worst experience ever in my whole life

Worst experience ever in my whole life, I wanna give minus 10 rating for this airline.
I missed my flight as I was late but there was not even single staff available to let me out as security won't let me out without staff due to policy. I was stuck at the airport 4 hours and its not the first time, last time flight was literally 5 hours delay which cause massive problems for me and i missed my connecting flight. It might be the coincidences but atlest have some staff available at Mumbai Airport. And not just that, my return flight was delayed by four hours again on 23 November 2024. Its like, you can not trust this airline if you are traveling for urgent or important work or occasion.
