Won 100 quid, account got closed due to betting patterns, what a joke company

these guys have clearly set their stall out to make their online operation 100% mugs only. meaning if you have any idea about what you are doing you are absolutely not welcome. arguably the quickest bookie in the UK to limit / restrict / ban. don't waste your time.

Complete and utter joke of a bookie - avoid, avoid, avoid!! They had a genuine price of 1,000/1 on my team winning the league when they were 3rd bottom. For a bit of fun I wanted £10 e/w. Refused to take it and only allowed me a bet of £3.50 e/w. When I rang to complain they said “I could have as much as I want at 500/1” so cutting the odds in half. Told them to stuff it and closed my account. I’ve seen independent on-course bookies stand bets with a far bigger liability. Just don’t bother with Stan James.

Got banned after 2 weeks even though I lost £100 during this time . Stan James should lose their uk betting licence because they don't want any customers on a long term basis. Do yourself a favour and sign up with a proper bookmaker and don't waste your time with these crooks........

I have just received a mail which claims "due to betting patterns on this account the decision has been made to close it", after I made like 4 live bets, with 6GBP deposit, and they give me no explanation whatsoever. The mail support just copies their mail, and the live support tells me to refer to the mail they give me. OK they told me to withdraw my funds (silly 10 GBP after winning), but I doubt that I will ever see my money again.

Terrible response to a game error, where a feature game 'bonus' gave zero win! screenshot with full details and still didnt admit any mistake had happened.

Terrible company. Once you start winning you are banned or heavily restricted with them! Stan James should lose their license to be a UK bookmaker as they clearly are not one! Any UK bookmaker that refuses or restricts a punter's bet should not be allowed to continue just because that punter has a winning account. Ban Stan James and do Britain and all punters a favour!

Con merchants - not only do they screw you on sign up, they also try and screw personal details out of you by pretending your account got closed. Its a complete scam

Very Rude service. They take deposit and block any communication.

Best Odds Guaranteed offer is only available by ticking a hidden away opt in box in account settings, which isn't mentioned anywhere on the mobile site or at account registration. Even then BOG isn't available on show prices, despite the mobile site not showing any information about what type of price is being displayed. Not fair to penalise mobile customers when the information is only available for desktop PC customers.

Mobile site/app is also a pain to navigate.

i tried to withdraw money and they said i had to verify my account so i sent them a picture of my passport 3 times its clear as day easy to read and they kept refusing after the 3rd time sending them a picture proof they kicked me out of my account reason was to many unsucessful login attempts which is total lies because i was logged in the entire time waiting over 2 hours for a email for them to say your account is verfied so i could withdraw my money but that never happended no no no this website needs to be shut down im being serious this is fraud it must be an insane amount of money they have stolen from people looking at the negative reviews and for anyone who gives this a postive review is been paid to say otherwise so if you were thinking about putting your money into this DONT trust me i did you a favor

Just had an email from Stan James restricting my account from offers, thought it was a mix up until I confirmed with the live chat service.

What was my crime? Betting on traditional Mongolian wrestling? No actually it was accepting an email challenge they sent me to try to pick a winning bet on Liverpool v Chelsea and I called the draw right so won an extra £5. So be warned don't bet on strange events like top of the table football when they invite you to.

These people have bombarded my inbox over the past year and I have the occasional punt maybe once a week, but since sign up last March I haven't bothered with any of the offers they send through.

The one time I take them up on the offer they sent to me, notice they sent to me, I didn't ask them for an offer, they restrict me from any benefits on the account. How dare these people advertise on TV about how great they are on prices, their best odds guarentee etc. It's just an absolute con to get you to sign up to them.

This industry needs some serious regulation to prevent cowboys like this oporating under the guise of a legitamte business.

Clearly Stan James view anyone winning, or in my case nearly, but not quite breaking even bad, business.
They obviously only want people who lose money, speaks volumes about the utter contempt bookmakers have for the general public.

I have accounts with a lot of bookmakers and I can honestly say I haven't had a problem with StanJames betting with them over the last 5 years or so.

If you win, they pay and the money is in my account within 3 working days. Some reasonable sums, £2k plus.

Reading some comments it is obvious some of the negative readings are as a consequence of welcome bonus abuse where some of the posts have opened multiple accounts. If you want to know what a joke bookmaker is go to BoylesSport
