Really poor experience. Bought a £2.70 trial so that I could make a CV for some charitable work. Cancelled the subscription upon signup (which I can prove in contemporaneous correspondence) and received only a receipt for £2.70 by email. After a flurry of emails pre-sign up, there were no further emails after the £2.70 charge. I received nothing containing any payment notifications, so I had no cause to assume that the cancellation had been unsuccessful. I never accessed the system again.

It was only several months later that I saw on my bank statement that the company was charging me £16.95 pcm without my permission. I got in touch with them assuming they would act in good faith and refund as the payments were unauthorised and I had never intended to sign up to a subscription (nor had I used it other than for one CV). However, they refused. They were uninterested in the fact that I had never used the system again or that I had found contemporaneous records that I had cancelled the subscription in September.

In sum: be really careful with this company and their hidden subscription practices. They appear to be more interested in maximising revenue at the consumer’s expense than in consumer goodwill.

I have to say, the process of creating your CV is very simple and great. The fact that they provide ample templates is amazing. I am positive that I will have more interviews lined up with this CV from standout CV. It is all worth it.

HOWEVER, the platform is quite expensive if you want to download just one CV. It would be a significant improvement if there were a free download option, even if limited, to make it more accessible to a broader audience. Overall, it’s a great tool, but the cost could be a drawback for some users.

The finished product is incredible but the actual site is quite lumpy to use
Logging in — there is no obvious way on the home page or search bar to log in. Had to come out and google standout cv log in to find it.
The boxes don’t let you scroll across meaning you need to finish the whole cv to see to edit even basic punctuation. It’s does the job, looks amazing but is a primitive website
