StandOut CV - crystal clear and just what I needed for a shake-up!

StandOut CV made it crystal clear with their prompts, templates and colour choices, as to what employers want and offered great suggestions all the way by having on hand, suitable wording for multiple career types. Everything that I personally needed was there, and even the things that I did not know that I should actually include, such as some of the ‘hard skills’ that I take for granted. Thanks a lot.

AVOID - PREDATORY COMPANY

AVOID. PREDATORY COMPANY. Promises a "free" CV formatting tool upfront, not making clear that you'll be charged if you try and download it in a usable format. If you pay, you'll be signed up to a trial for a substantial monthly fee which is difficult to cancel. Positive reviews strongly read as though they're paid shills or AI.

The pricing and trial terms are clearly shown on the plan-selection page and at checkout before any payment is taken, so users can see the details before signing up. Subscriptions can also be cancelled at any time from within the account dashboard.

It is a SUBSCRIPTION TRAP

The service itself is satisfactory, nothing special about it, definetly not £16.95/month quality; however, the pricing structure is not communicated clearly. I believed I was purchasing a “14-day Full Access” pass for £2.70, but just realized it was a trial that automatically converted into a monthly subscription at £16.95. The trial terms and the automatic enrollment into a recurring plan should be stated much more explicitly. I am very disappointed with the lack of transparency. Who needs to write CV's monthly anyway?!

Tested my CV for a small fee

Tested my CV for a small fee. However it signs you up for a subscription at 16.99 per month. However when you try to cancel, you cannot login to your account or reset your password. This is why you cannot cancel your membership. I have now been trying for 4 months.

The response to my review on Trust Pilot has arrived before any help from customer service.

When signing up to test your CV, the subscription details are shown during checkout, and customers can cancel their membership at any time directly from within their account. If you’re unable to log in, passwords can be reset from the login page using the “forgot password” option.
