Disappointing and oversold: Avoid the Sportive Breaks VIP Finish Hospitality
We attended the VIP hospitality finish for the Il Lombardia cycling Monument, and it fell completely short of what was advertised. The official website promised front-row seats and a dedicated screen to watch the live race progress as the riders approached the finish line. In reality, this was a deeply disappointing, non-VIP experience.
The issues began with the setup:
• Terrible visibility: The general public actually had a better view on the opposite side of the road. Their section featured a low barrier, while our VIP section had a 5.5-foot barrier that made it incredibly difficult to see over.
• No race tracking: There were absolutely no screens provided in our area to watch the race progress.
• Overcrowded and unsafe: We were herded into a cramped, oversaturated space. Because the visibility was so poor, other patrons began aggressively pushing to try and see over the high barrier.
• Ruined experience: My wife was jostled around by the crowd, saw absolutely nothing of the race, and completely missed the riders.
This package was highly expensive and failed to deliver on its basic promises. I am writing this review to warn anyone considering a VIP finish package with Sportive Breaks. Save your money—this experience is a massive disappointment and absolutely not worth the premium price.
