As bad as Spreadex. Wish I'd never bothered with the fixed odds side. The odds are atrocious especially football and the limits derisory. And if you beat them they soon limit you
Stick to spread betting and leave fixed odds to to the EXPERTS.

A few years ago I won quite a large bet with this company around £7/8k. They accepted the bet before the event the event ran and afterwards they told me due to a pricing error they won't be paying me, i asked at the time have all bets been void from the event then for other people who would have lost there money will they be told about the pricing error and be given a full refund and they wouldn't tell me so they could have just voided the winning side. This had also happened to a friend of mine using Sporting Index. I spoke to a manger at the company after and he offered me a few hundred pound to not follow up on this i declined and never saw a penny, If you want to bet money and then know afterwards if you do well there's a chance you're not going to get paid i would highly recommend Sporting Index as they offer that.

OK, I give honest reviews.
I gave myself a short holiday from the platform through frustration of the software.
Then they send me an email to say are you happy gambling.

So the real truth is I'm happy, however not with your Odds software which is beta, circa 1990.

1. You will never be able to place a bet on a horse race if the advertised off price has gone. The market just disappears, let's say the Grand National is two minutes late off, you have no chance of getting a bet on.

2. The cash out on odds is a laugh.
Example. £25 win on a even money pre race. 2 minutes before the off, 4/6, offer... £17. That's a joke right?

3. Sometimes your never ever sure your bet is taken, it gives no indication a trader maybe checking it... So you may inadvertently hit enter twice.. DON'T!
You will find you have 2 or 3 bets stacked for the same bet.
See 2 to try and get out.

4. The update on "in play scores and cash out" is very very slow, you try n cash out when the scores are in your favor? Not a chance.

So SI don't assume people who may leave or holiday from your platform have issues, look closer to home at the service you offer.

I gave two stars for the indices part of the platform, They are just about OK but nothing to right home about.

i invested £70.000 with sports index which is part of the sporting index group , these crooks have stolen my money , they are are running a scam and fraud to take your money, they will offer bounses to get you to go into the scam investment then hold your money to ransom and will refuse to release your funds unless you pay there made up fees with high presure sales calls from simon hunt who is nuthing more than a high presure sales man , you will loose your money saty clear of this group of sporting index and sports index io of compaines

They are threatening to take me to court I sincerely hope they do because they owe me money. They are dishonest and irresponsible. I have all the proof which I'm happy to share. I just hope they have not deleted all the phone calls.
If you would like to see the proof let me know.

***The website is from 2003 by the looks of it and the prices are so bad it's not worth entertaining. Check oddschecker if you need confirmation how bad they are. Advertising on oddschecker and then going worst prices around is pointless. Football is especially bad

I understand they're primarily spread betting but their fixed odds are not good. Firstly no live feed so if I place a bet I have to go watch it elsewhere. How can you not show UK horse racing in 2021??
Secondly no Best odds guaranteed and thirdly and most importantly the odds are truly truly terrible. If you check an odds comparison website you'll see they are never ever top price on football. They're always near the rock bottom. No idea why they bother with fixed odds if they're not going to give any value. If you see a team 4/6 they'll be 4/7 you can bet on it

Don't bother. I can only imagine the great rating are from people who have been asked for reviews knowing they'd give great feedback

What you see is what you get at Sporting Index.

Very honest. More importantly caring. Accidental big deposit. Rang them after withdrawing excess amount and they said they could not do anything as I had already withdrawn so I would have to wait 3-5 working days. But then they rang me up following day and exceptionally cancelled withdrawal and sent me back the extra funds on the same day. Words not enough to praise customer service. We all lose to bookmakers, it's just a question of losing small as betting is a mug's game. Frankly, I'd rather lose to Sporting Index. Good people.

They are perhaps the worst possible organisation . They suspended the online activity after I made some profits. Wouldn't recommend them .
Customer service was absolutely awful to say the least. Rather than explaining the reasons just wanted me to close me account.

You make a price and then cancel the trades, total rubbish

I am quite happy with their service . I have had no problems over the last 15 years plus.I would recommend them .However I think they are no better or worse than their competition.
My major gripes are that they are very slow in listing the new spread after suspension when betting "in play" and the spreads are often I think wider than what is reasonable.

Never had a problem with SI. Get regular emails with bonuses fine company. Wish there was no stop loss of the total goals market tho but just a small gripe. Oh and the odds on the sports side could be better but overall good betting site

I have been client of SI for over 25 years. The service in general has been fine. The new app is a retro step, too many issues to explain but one stands out and that is ability to bet when low in funds but even worst case downside does not turn funds negative...'computer says no syndrome'.

the betting offers are fun but you are boxed in so usually not worth it - like betting with a hand tied behind your back.

I have been using sportingindex for over 25 years, initially through the telephone operations and then online. Throughout that time I've enjoyed the ability to bet on a variety of intuitive markets, both pre match and in play.
If there ever had been a need to contact the customer service team everything has been handled professionally and efficiently.
I would personally recommend the service for anyone interested in moving their betting onto a different platform with a spread edge. Always remember though to bet within your limits and control what you spend.

Great product all round. Interesting markets covering pretty much anything you’d like a bet on. No bets refused,,. all you need to win is to outwit SI’s market setters !!,.

Excellent service. Puts up horse racing spreads early in the morning and, within reason, doesn't refuse bets, unlike the most well known rival spread betting firm.

I have been betting with these for 20 years. The service is excellent. Any bad experiences, and embarrassment, are always one's own.
