Great service

Great service, worth money, used for 3 years till I sold my property. Transfer to new buyer was a piece of cake, so smooth. Great team. Customer service is on to it.

The simplicity of the process from…start to finish

The process from beginning to the activation was really wonderful. Great people very organised and thorough and no problems for the install. They were up and running and after the install as well as the inspection the new meter was in under a week. Solar Zero in my opinion are the best at installing Solar as they have done so many they really know the system inside out. We saw 5 companies for a quote and Solar Zero showed to be the real experts from our experience and we are thrilled at having chosen them.

Approach with Caution

Their tactics and support have been tantamount to fraud. Promise a system that provides full monitoring and control and deliver something that provides minimal historic information and ZERO control, maybe that is why they changed their name to SolarZero.

Oh, we haven’t provided you with what we promised so will take 50% off your monthly lease change. Hold it, if you had been honest I would not have signed up in the first place.

The data for them to provide a top notch monitoring system (like many of their opposition) is there. They have sent me a CSV with all the required data down to a granularity of about 5 minutes dating back as long as you want.

They are just too lazy to provide their customers with some degree of service.

As for control – well there is none.

It is interesting that when logging on here for SOLARCIY.CO.NZ there have only been 3 reviews (2 positive) but if one looks at SOLARCITY.COM of the 31 reviews for New Zealand back to the start of 2019.

21 of them are 1 star with expressions of horrific, scam, dodgy etc. Only 7 reviews gave 5 stars and one of these hadn’t even signed up!!!

Great product and helpful staff, huge problem resolved positively

Edit: SolarCity have reached out to us directly and apologised and waived our early termination fee, as well as informing us they will be doing an internal review of their cancellation policy. During this process staff were empathetic, kind and understanding and we ended up with a positive resolution.

Have been a customer for 4 years plus. Recently sold our house and moving cities so we're renting while we figure out where we want to buy for the year. As a result had to terminate our solarzero agreement. Nearly $5,500 for early termination. Doesn't include bundle broadband early termination.
We're needing to do about $2,000 in cosmetic repairs which is not covered by SolarCity. Was never told what the cost of termination would be, only that it would be calculated at the time of termination.

All in all, nearly $7,500 if you for whatever reason ever need out - buy your own solar equipment, it costs just as much as leaving Solarcity and at least you get to keep the equipment.

Solar zero have installed panels on my…

Solar zero have installed panels on my roof and now my house is looking beautiful. Can’t wait to use it when it gets fully activated. Solar as a service is very innovative way of going solar and promises savings and I am already impressed with what I have received so far. The whole process from start to finish went very smooth and blew my mind with quality customer service.

Thank you solar zero and keep the good work up.

Great guys

Great guys, came out and gave me an exact plan for installation. Their guys came in and did a professional Job.

Major delay was from the export meter from the utility side. Export electricity is not worth it so they teach you to change your peak usage to day light times when solar power is being fed to you you use it instead of selling it back to the grid.

Cost was explained, I chose to do a lower carbon footprint so was not too worried about cost but am still saving money and happy about it.

If you send them a message sometimes no response....may be due to turn around if staff but if you call and get someone that will get right back to you.
