I’ve seen a sofa set on their site and…

I’ve seen a sofa set on their site and sent messages asking if they would sell one piece only and then confirming I’m still interested and today another message asking if anyone reads the messages.
Don’t think I will deal with them if this is their customer service

No point of contact whatsoever.They tend to keep you sofa for weeks without caring to send an update.This shoddy platform does not even have a customer care number.
Been weeks since my sofa was sold but haven’t released the money yet.

Very Happy

Was sceptical as never ordered from here before. Very easy process, item was as described as well. Kept up to date through every step of the process. Delivery also very good, gave me a 3 hour time slot the day before, called me on the day to let me know they're 30 mins away. They put the sofa in the dedicated room and built it there also.

Honestly I cannot fault Sofalistic.
Great communication throughout, the delivery people were fab and put the sofas where I wanted, cleared the packaging etc, and I got a fantastic quality sofa for an absolutely bargain price! I honestly dont know if I'll buy a brand new sofa ever again!

A great platform for sellers

A great platform for sellers, we great customer service as well. We sold our couches via sofalistic and had a seamless process from collection to delivery to the buyer. The team kept us updated all through. There was a slight delay in delivery that got us concerned, but this was resolved as they followed this up with a phone call.

Scam simple

Bought a sofa but seller has to approve. what a load of crap. No phone line no customer service. Money taken from account even they say it on hold. but my money is gone. still no sofa and if seller was serious they would had accepted the sale straight away not waiting 48 hours. regretting to try. This is scam obviously like others write

To clarify a few important points:

Sofalistic is a peer-to-peer marketplace, which means sellers must confirm availability before a sale is completed. This confirmation window is up to 48 hours and exists to protect buyers from paying for items that may no longer be available.

No money has been taken or “gone missing.” At checkout, payments are pre-authorised only (placed on hold by your bank), not captured by us. If a seller does not confirm within the 48-hour window, the order is automatically cancelled and the authorisation is released immediately. Any delay you see after that is due to your bank’s processing time, which can take up to 5 working days.

We do have a phone line, however lines can be extremely busy. We also provide a dedicated Support Centre where customers can raise tickets at any time, ensuring queries are properly tracked and resolved by our support team.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to locate or comment on your specific order as no order number has been shared in this review. If you contact us via the Support Centre with your order details, we’ll be very happy to look into your case directly and provide clarity.

Recommend for sofa selling

Easy to list an item and to arrange for pick up
Didn’t think it would be possible to sell a sofa second hand after having no luck on other platforms but i think the built in delivery service really helps

What a farce!

Well, what can I say other than a major disappointment.

First I try to buy a sofa and you couldn't message properly, only could only choose questions from drop down menus.

So the company said they'd contact the seller and ask. Never heard from them again, even with a chase.

Suddenly we can actually use free text to contact sellers. Only to find it's been sold elsewhere.

Second attempt, I buy the sofa only to find out from the seller they sold it the following day after I'd bought it.

So there's no proper contract of sale. Expect sofas not to be there or sellers not to honor the sale.

Complete waste of many hours searching through a lot of sofas that really should be taken to the tip for recycling....

The search facility is rubbish, there are no filter settings. There are days where the site moves so slowly you may as well have a dial up connection.

Overall I could have spent my time better.

Just to be clear, our messaging system didn’t “suddenly” change. Free-text messaging was designed and developed over several months to ensure a secure and safe experience on a peer-to-peer marketplace. The earlier guided-question format was intentional, and free-text was introduced only once it met our security and moderation standards.

Sofalistic is a peer-to-peer marketplace, meaning items remain with sellers until they confirm availability. A contract of sale is created only once a seller confirms. If a seller does not confirm or sells an item elsewhere beforehand, the order is cancelled and your pre-authorised payment is released immediately.

We do have search and filter functionality, and we’re continuously improving these as the platform scales, alongside ongoing work on site speed and performance.

We’re sorry this wasn’t a good use of your time and appreciate the feedback.

Don't waste your time

I loaded our sofas and foot stool onto the website.
I boosted to get some interest and people were messaging me about it. But when I tried to message back, the app wouldn't let me. I have emailed Sofalistic but they can't be bothered to acknowledge me. So I have now closed my listing.
A waste of time and my 'boost your listing' money!!!

Rubbish don’t bother

“Brought” a suite from Sofalistic..then realised the seller had 48 hours to decide whether they want to sell to you or not.. once you “buy” the sofa you can’t contact the seller?! Tried to contact sofalistic and you can only do so by email.
48 hours later I still don’t know if I have purchased a new suite or not. Rubbish I would not recommend this service I can only hope they are a legitimate company.
Update - My order has been cancelled 😡 what a complete and utter waste of time!!!!

During this confirmation period, buyers cannot contact the seller directly. This is an intentional safeguard designed to protect both parties and prevent pressure and confusion - additionally, this is disabled to protect both parties in the event of a dispute being raised with us.

No money was taken from you. At checkout, payment is only pre-authorised only, not captured. As the seller did not confirm, the order was automatically cancelled and the authorisation released. Any delay in funds reappearing is due to bank processing times.

We do have customer support via our Support Centre and email, and we also operate a phone line, though lines can be extremely busy. Email support allows us to track and resolve issues properly.

We understand how disappointing this is after investing time in a purchase, and we’re sorry it didn’t work out on this occasion.

AVOID Terrible customer service

The sofa was delivered to us damaged, we contacted Sofalistic the day the sofa was delivered. The damage wasn't shown in the photos and Sofalistic confirmed that the delivery company damaged the sofa. Nearly 3 months later and still no partial refund or repair attempt. Responses to emails are ridiculously slow. The worst company I've dealt with in a long time. Avoid!

Ordered a sofa on the 10th January it…

Ordered a sofa on the 10th January it was collected from seller on 18th January it’s been 11 days I’ve had no contact regarding delivery I’ve tried to contact multiple times daily via email but no reply even via facebook messenger who replied once saying there was a delay, they have stopped replying now asked for a refund again was ignored terrible service and left down £254 and no sofa. The reason for the slight delay on this order was due to our recent transition to a new logistics provider, which unfortunately affected a small number of deliveries during that period. We’re genuinely sorry for the lack of timely updates while this was being resolved.

We understand how stressful it is when you’re waiting for an item and feel out of the loop, especially after making repeated attempts to get in touch. That’s not the level of service we aim to provide, and we apologise for the communication gaps you experienced.

We hope you’re now happy with your sofa, and we appreciate your patience while we worked through the disruption. The logistics change has now been stabilised to prevent this happening again.

Failure to Boost and direct Customer Service lacking

I have now paid twice for a listing boost. The initial two‑day boost worked exactly as advertised — the item was prominently displayed and interested views were high. On that basis, I extended the boost for a further five days. Since then, views have collapsed and the listing is no longer visible in the Featured section even after scrolling through multiple pages. This bears no resemblance to the service described, paid for or previously experienced.
Customer support is disappointing. Although response to email is quick and attempts to be helpful, I have no been given a meaningful response. They describe features that I simply cannot see using a Windows 11 system with no site settings that preventing designed web display functions working correctly. There is no App. with enhanced display functions that I am aware of and, in any event, viewing via a laptop should not preclude full display functionality. There is no telephone contact provided and the ‘live chat’ appears to be a low‑quality automated bot offering no meaningful assistance for bespoke queries.

I genuinely appreciate the quick reply here.
I have indeed exchanged emails with support, but it would be inaccurate to describe their advice as unambiguous. Also, no screenshots were ever provided by them and you may be confusing this with the images of my own screen that I sent in my last email.
I would also note that when someone refers to “rotating” or “rotational” screen sections, it implies a programmed UI, marquee or ticker JavaScript implementation within the interface — not simply pressing F5.
It is also reasonable to question whether the boost feature as now explained is now so heavily subscribed that, in practice, it offers no meaningful advantage and functions no differently from items being displayed in a random order. Seeing an item featured for only a few minutes on "rotation" with hundreds of other boosted items is not likely, statistically, to generate significantly increased views to be cost-effective promotion.
In any case, none of this explains why my item was consistently "Featured" during the initial two‑day boost yet has not been prominent since the 5 day extension was paid for. Maybe a discrepancy in the algorithm.

Our customer support team has been in contact with you on multiple occasions to explain this and to provide screenshots confirming that your boost is live and active.

Boosted listings on Sofalistic are displayed on a rotational basis within the Featured areas. This means that on every page refresh, a different selection of boosted listings is shown. This approach is clearly explained on the boost page before purchase and is designed to ensure fairness across the hundreds of boosted listings that go live each day, while serving thousands of daily page views.

As a result, it isn’t expected that the same boosted listing will appear on every visit or refresh, even while the boost is fully active.

This behaviour is consistent across all devices and operating systems, including Windows 11, and does not require an app or special settings.

We’ve demonstrated on two separate occasions that your boost has been correctly applied and is being presented within the rotation as intended. A temporary drop in visible impressions when manually checking pages does not indicate that the boost is inactive.

We understand this can feel confusing at first, but there is nothing complex or malfunctioning in the system, it is working exactly as designed and as described at the point of purchase.
