An engineer from this company came out to service my boiler on behalf of PlusHeat.
The engineer called me a couple of hours prior to coming and arrived bang on time.
He was friendly, professional and efficient, taking the time to explain the process.
Very impressed.
D Powell from S O'Brien Ltd came to service my boiler on behalf of British Gas. I was at work and my 80yr father was at home. The engineer was adament the boiler was faulty and had no power supply (even though the boiler comes on every day, twice a day to heat up my water), making my frail father with one dodgy arm, climb into the loft to check the boiler. He took off all the covers, slapped it with a condemned sticker and left. I only found this out 5 wks later when my (trusted) plumber came to service it - and said it was fine! This engineer did not know what he was doing and I'm really disgusted with the service, especially since finding out how he had left the boiler. I felt the notices he left were intimidating as well (saying it needed a BIG service), trying to scare me into paying for something I didnt need doing.
I was visited by Daniel Centurion to perform a boiler service. He was punctual, friendly, and helpful and is a credit to your company.
Thanks Daniel!
I refer to a so called service this company did for me on behalf of British Gas. 20 minutes from start to finish. The engineer didn’t even clean the Magnetic filter out, as apparently they are not authorised to do so. He told me that if I wanted it cleaning out, I had to contact British Gas, who then had to send an engineer out. Madness. On 1.11.22, 8 months later, British gas once again serviced the boiler, this time using one of their engineers, who found a serious safety fault in the emissions and gas valve. ?
If I could have put no stars it still would have been to high. Engineer called this morning on behalf of British Gas, to service boiler. Absolutely disgusting from the moment he walked through the door. I hope that BGas get there act together, never experienced this from them in all the years we have been with them Dont us S O'brien.
Arrived in black van with no ID and said he was sent from BG. Fairly short service and didn't do some checks that BG generally do. After he left we noticed that pressure gauge was down to last red digit and could not get to move even after adding water. Was like this for week or more so had to call in BG to rectify. Thankfully BG engineer has now sorted problem. Not impressed with work and have told BG that will not accept any contractors in the future as our contract is with BG.
My boiler service this week was carried out by Ben (on behalf of British Gas) who was brilliant and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect.
British Gas sent S O'brien out today as a sub contractor for my annual service. First class job. Polite and friendly young man, Ben. Good stuff
Daniel Centurion visited to service our boiler and found the flu test point off and replaced it after I told him I could smell gas Daniel is a credit to your company thank you so much
Engineer visited on behalf on British Gas to service my boiler under my Homecare 400 contract. Turned up in unmarked van, no uniform or ID worn. Sat outside my address in his van for almost half an hour playing on his phone before knocking on my door. When he finally came in the engineer was at inside my address for barely ten minutes - told me that a seal in the boiler and a unit next to my hot water tank needed replacing, he couldn't do this as he didn't have the parts, said he would order them and a British Gas engineer would come back. Refused to check whether radiators were working properly (as British Gas usually do), plainly couldn't wait to get away. Nothing heard, after 2 weeks I had to chase up British Gas myself for another engineer visit to finish the job. Took hours to get through to them. A 2nd engineer - British Gas this time - completed boiler service and told me that neither part needed replacing and it seemed that the service hadn't been completed. A thoroughly shambolic setup, who employ people who would rather play on their phones rather than do the job they're paid to do.

Came out today to service my boiler on behalf of British Gas which I pay over £800 a year for. Boiler working fine this morning have hot water from this morning. Engineer rude on entry to my home no hello just where am I going. He then says that the boiler has no power and is not working, I said well it was working fine this morning and he starts shouting and becoming aggressive. I txt my wife to ask her to hurry home from the school run. Ended up asking him to leave the house, wouldn’t say which company he worked for. Horrible experience.
My boiler was serviced on behalf of British Gas Homecare. Very polite agent who did a splendid job.
However he explained that he was unable to clean/change the Magnaclean filter (previously always done routinely by BG) because BG does not supply the required seal.
So he has to advise BG of this and they send out another man with a seal to change the filter.
The result is duplication of effort, higher labour costs, increased emissions from two vehicles and I will have to wait in a second time to get the job completed.
It appears that this is the procedure for any job involving a Magnaclean filter. Surely management can resolve this ridiculous state of affairs!
Excellent service, vacuumed boiler, first time ever! Friendly and very helpful.
A credit to the company
Engineer:- Daniel Centurion
Came out to do an annual British Gas service. Perfect boiler , no problems at all, fairly new, serviced with no hassle other years.
When I went to tidy up less than an hour after engineer left, blue boiler light blinking, error code 38, no water pressure. Company came back to try and rectify whatever they had done to break it and couldn't. I now have no hot water, and a broken boiler because of this company. Let's just hope British Gas can rectify the problem when they finally get to me. I definitely won't be recommending or sticking with British Gas after this, nor recommending this company. What mug wants to pay someone to break their boiler?!. In addition the engineer checked the meter box and never locked it up again. Total incompetence. Good thing I noticed early. Shocking service
Very polite engineer who phoned with an arrival time and was courteous throughout.
We had Itoc Caraca today to service our boiler. It was the best service we have had for years. Itoc was so polite and thorough in everything he said and did.
Thank you S.O'Brien for sending him to us.
Maureen & Keith.
Daniel C, arrived promptly, executed a full service of our boiler with no issues.
Lovely to chat to too and all round nice guy
Daniel was excellent. Very efficient service and also tightened up a few things that were loose.
Got let down by the Able Group for a boiler service. S O’ Briens fitted me in the next day. Dave let me know in advance what time he would arrive. Was polite and helpful.
Thanks.
