Great monthly treat for my grandkids. They love trying out the different countries snacks. Greece currently the fave.

Where do I even start with this shambles of an experience I recieved from this unprofessional company. I'll try keep it short and sweet but I highly doubt I will be able to refrain from going into detail.
So first thing is first, 50% discount on website always has a timer that resets everyday, it could be showing you "1 hour left and never coming back!" And then restarts itself, this creates not only enticement but impulsive buying too for those who believe a timer is set when it's really not.
Second point to mention, they have a "leave a note" section for you when placing the order, so anyone would naturally think whatever note they do write in that box would at least be considered, or honoured, but no it's completely ignored instead.
I had specifically wrote on this "leave a note section" that I do not want any gelatine items, or any pork items, or any alcoholic items, due yo religious dietary requirements. Now, it that's too hard for them to meet, they should simply email you and say "sorry we can't fulfil your order under these requirements, so we can either refund you, or apply your payment for a box from a different month with more suitable items for you?" But no, they don't email you anything, and instead they go ahead to send you a premium box which should have 20 items, but arrives with the seal half broken and 3 of the main consumable items (chocolates) missing, so your already at 17 items from the start, and then on top of that, the 17 items that you was lucky enough to recieve, at least 9 of those had either pork, alcohol, wine, gelatine in it, so your essentially only left with 7 or 8 items at best, and out of those 7 or 8 remaining, a large majority are bogus liquorice sweets and toffee sweets which probably cost pennies! So really 6 items! I mean the sheer audacity of it is beyond offensive. And evri as a chosen courier for the company is even more shocking with their history of poorly mishandling goods.
Then you ring up, explain the situation, that your only left with 8 items out of the promised 20, and an agent tells you "we have processed your refund, don't worry, you don't need to do anything else, feel free to dispose of what you can't eat and we'll send you a confirmation email of your refund soon." So you hang up the phone assuming the matter is dealt with and initially quite happy with how the agent responded, you throw away the inedible items and wait for the confirmation email, hours later, you get the email, only for it say something completely different to what was told to you by the agent on the phone, and now the email is simply confirming that the subscription had been cancelled (which I already cancelled anyway a week earlier hy ringing up and recieved the confirmation email for that separately anyway before) but they chose to simply repeat the same nonsense, did not address the refund at all, and had the nerve to ask me for clear photos of the items I did recieve and the items that I didn't recieve? After the agent on the phone practically gave me the go-ahead to dispose of those items, I emailed them back saying how can I provide pictures of items that I already threw away in the bin with your agents permission via the phone? And I asked them to honour what was said to me on the phone and confirm the refund and send the confirmation email of the refund, not the cancelled subscription.
They totally ignored that email, did not respond, and again, had the audacity to send me an email saying "time for the April box! Re-subcribe now before it's too late!".
I mean what an atrocious experience, no correlation between what a phone agent says and what an email agent says it seems, both contradict each other and your left there more confused than ever.
AVOID!! if you don't want excessive headaches then AVOID! Not to mention the reports of people out there who have subscribed for 14 months consecutively and all they got was European countries. I mean you might aswel just go to your local Romanian shop, seems like half the stuff they get is from there anyway.
To summarise, don't bother "leaving a note" because it's only for delivery instructions apparently, even though its not clearly stated what that section is for. Don't bother subscribing, because to get out of it feels like your trying to get out of a 360 music industry contract. And lastly, don't bother listening to what the phone agent or email agent says, because they both will tell you two different things which contradict each other. And their f.a.q.s section is simply there to cover their backs because at this point they themselves know they pretty much have a known record of messing up orders.
What's the point of having a "leave a note" section, if you don't state what it's actually for? Are we psychic that were meant to know?.
Goodness gracious me. I wouldn't recommend this company even to my worst enemy.

Absolutely disgraceful took to long to be delivered and when it was it was open with items missing

Our first few boxes were a little disappointing but the last few have been much better. Denmark was a particular favourite in our house.
I read some bad reviews about customer service before I signed up, honestly, their service has been amazing. Whenever I’ve contacted them they’ve responded quickly and been really helpful.

I absolutely loved my snack boxes I had the largest one for a few months, I loved trying the different snacks from around the world and the little booklet was great. I've had to recently cancel my subscription because I have been diagnosed with diabetes, I'm gutted will really miss it, but I will be buying them for gifts for family and friends

We bought for 5 of our Teenage Grandchildren for Christmas
Intending a 3 month subscription but they have loved receiving them 2 at uni
We let it run to 5 months
If money wasn't an object we would leave it to run as it is the gift that keeps on giving
A unique product
Our other 3 Grandchildren will be receiving as they get old enough
Thanks SnackVerse
Great contents with interesting facts

Don't be taken in by the Adverts, Instagram reviews or Facebook Adverts... They are all FAKE... Let me explain...
I've never received a box from them...so I CANCELLED MY SUBSCRIPTION...I was told that I would still get the box that I had PAID FOR.... So I get my Evri notification that they have my box... Then Snackverse told Evri to STOP MY DELIVERY ... I had a notification that they had attempted to take MORE money out of my account at the around the same time. I managed to get to speak to someone at Evri who confirmed to me ( recorded call for proof) that Snackverse had Cancelled my delivery. I'm now working on speaking to Trading Standards and my Bank.
Got Denmark this month, some really nice treats. We're really enjoying the snacks and the little booklets contain interesting facts. Mum and I try to get the country before we open the box.
Be nice to have something from outside of Europe though. Asia or India would be interesting. I know thats quite tricky the way the world is at the moment!

Used to be happy with the box, although it is only European countries, not worldwide. Will not let you cancel by any other way but phone call. Absolute farce. I wanted to cancel to save money, they keep charging, boxes turn up whenever they feel like it and they barely reply to emails. Don't bother and just go to a European store, same stuff is in there anyway.

Misleading advertising made me believe I was buying a box of Canadian snacks. Was very disappointed to find out that was not the case. I also had to call to cancel my subscription.

recived one box out of the 3 ive been charged for. keep blaming delays but you shouldnt be charging for the next months if you cant even fufil the previous month! feels very very scammy. wording on website makes it seem like they dont actually have enough boxes for ev eryone and that if you cancel you wont get the box or the refund

Reply from SnackVerse
Don’t believe the ‘around the world ‘ bit. It’s all European. What we’ve had had been ok though but getting repetitive so have cancelled. Shame because it could be a brilliant concept if they really had included Japan or Canada as they state on the website. Sad that they feel the need to lie. Had some great European sweets though !

Reply from SnackVerse
“around the world” MY ARSE. This is such a scam. We have had a subscription for 13 months and have received a European country EVERY TIME. We have received the same country on more than one occasion. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
They also continue to take your money even after you try to end the subscription and terrible customer service.
Please be warned, it’s honestly not worth it.

I suspect this business is having financial difficulty as the months boxes are being delayed by about 5 weeks. They are also not allowing cancellations of boxes on the online form and you have to ring a call center. The thing that really gave it the one start rating to me was in the FAQ it states “We try not to use any snacks that are made of meat products and contain gelatine to make our products suitable for vegetarians! However, we can NOT guarantee that all products will be suitable for vegetarians, but…” to me that felt like they had an awareness and it would be ok for a household with one veggie and one not. Unfortunately the first box had a gelatine item and the second box had not only multiple gelatine items but also pork scratchings which is definitely a problem. Its a shame as the packaging and booklet are decent quality

I ordered box on 25/03 and only received this today 10/04. Meanwhile they charged me for another box without any previous notification, and i couldn't decide if i like box or not. Box also came open, no tape or anything, it was easily open with one hand. Big hole on top of the box also. Advert says it 20+ full size snacks but i had 2 and 2 small single candies in box ... Also cannot cancel subscription through website and they dont seem to respond very fast. I wont order again, i hope i will manage to cancel this one, its not worthy of full price
