Incompetent

I ordered Sky yesterday to start on the 28th January, when I move. They sent the box etc. today when they know I won't be there. If it gets stolen it's not my fault. I even altered the delivery date via the Royal Mail app. They didn't take any notice either even though I got an e-mail from them confirming the new date.

Sky Stream

This review is about Sky Stream. We gave up Sky TV a while ago but my husband wanted it back thinking it was going to be decent like it used to be. Massive mistake, it isn’t. The interface is slow, unusable, frustrating and the remote makes me want to throw it through the window. If you try to rewind, you can’t because you get caught in an ad loop, if you try to watch the previous episode, you can’t, instead it takes you to the end of that episode and refuses to rewind. Even iplayer has a facility where you can start the episode again! The repetitive and constant ads are so dull. Am never buying a Volvo on principle. Just awful, avoid.

Disgusting

I have been with sky for 10 years and the customer service is disgusting. Extending the contract without agreement, making it impossible to end the contract. Stay well away from this company. Disgusting

No action and left with a faulty Q box

For about 2 months we have very regular blackouts while watching SKY. They last a few seconds but are intensely irritating. I even bought a new TV thinking it was the TV. Since I have watched Netflix via SKY Q with the blackouts. When watching through our smart TV, there were no blackouts. I chatted to SKY and was tild they can’t order a new Q main box as I had an outstanding order of a mini box. I never ordered one, so told them to delete the order which they agreed to do and then place an order for the new main box. Nothing has happened in the 2 weeks since and the order is still there.

Shocking customer service

My daughter had an engineer visit booked but was unable to be there at the time. I took a day off work for the visit which was cancelled the day before without reason.
I tried to resolve this on her behalf but was met with resistance and a complete reluctance to help from Sky Customer Service.
I was talking to Angela in cancellations who just cut me off. I then got through to Michelle in retentions who refused to help but instead transferred me to Lina in Technical who also refused to assist. None of those named above would let me speak to a manager.
I appreciate I was not the account holder but had all my daughters details and permission to speak on her behalf as she was out of contact working in a hospital.
I found the staff to be rude, unsympathetic and showed a complete lack of professionalism.
I have now lost a day's leave because of Sky's incompetence

Sky tv subscription team has been…harassing me

Sky tv subscription team has been harassing me through letters and emails for paying some outstanding bill.
I never subscribed sky tv. No engineers ever came to install. No equipments were sent. I never used any sky tv services but they’re just harassing me to pay any bills. I will never recommend anyone to call sky tv for a quote.

Rubbish broadband and poor stream tv

As with previous comments I wish I had read the reviews before entering into a contract as the 1 gig broadband is very poor it never reaches speeds of more than 500 mb and the signal strength is very poor and despite their promises does not reach all the home . We previously had Virgin media from its first inception as Nynex but the constant price increases to fund new customers forced us to leave and take sky ,in all the years with Virgin the signal strength from their high speed router was brilliant reaching every room with the aid of a deco mesh system which now barely covers the first floor with skys router .The tv pick constantly freezes and needs rebooting on the main unit and on the 2 nd stream unit the Sony tv in that room receives WiFi but the sky stream puck can’t ??
Overall very disappointed and counting the days till I can get out of the contract

Sky TV Emails

I cancelled my Sky TV subscription in 2023 after being fooled into paying for Sky Essentials after contacting them the previous year asking for a reduction in cost of my TV subscription. Basically paying Sky to watch Freeview. When I called Sky to cancel my subscription I was left hanging on the phone for an hour before I got to speak to someone. During the time I was waiting I could hear the line clicking as though they were checking I was still on the line and hadn't given up waiting. I eventually got through and cancelled my subscription after lying and saying I wanted to add something because I found it impossible to select an option to cancel. However this doesn't stop Sky from emailing me to try and persuade me to come back. They must be joking. I wouldn't recommend anyone to join Sky TV and don't understand why anyone would pay for the rubbish shown.

Asked for a discount on my Skyglass…

Asked for a discount on my Skyglass subscription. Gave me £5 a month reduction. But also charged £10 handling fee. Dislike the way Sky operate. Seem keen to take my money without offering an acceptable service. The phone line is run by foreigners. Skyglass is more American themed than UK. Very little Vintage films.

Sky = horrible customer service, zero star

I canceled my subscription with Sky in October 2025, in writing and by registered mail, as of the end of November 2025 as stipulated in the contract, since I became increasingly dissatisfied with its service and rising price, certainly not worth £ 140.50/month. Sky first ignored my cancellation, then wanted to force me to call the company to clarify some "safety" issues, kept bombarding me with irrelevant e-mails meant to play for time, then sent me a bill for December (!) in the same amount of £ 140.50, now threatening "to take legal action against me" if I did not pay.

Frankly, Sky must be the most outrageous firm in the UK, and seems to be fraudulent. It has horrible customer service and should be closed by the Regulator Ofcom. One star, and even that is one star too much!

Rip Off Merchants

Are you thinking of getting Sky TV or Sky Glass, just don't bother. Get yourself a streaming device or if you have a smart TV use it's apps. I'll explain why this is the best option below.

First Sky Glass is not good, it's only a QLED TV, you'd be better off investing in an OLED TV and pay for a streaming device like a firestick and pay monthly for NOWTV.

I find Sky a Rip Off for having to pay for Whole home when you buy Pucks off them, I can't see how this service can cost Sky money by providing it, the same with UHD. They must make millions from all the adverts which you can pay a further fee of £5 to skip them. I'm of the strong belief they are charging all this extra money to fund football, F1, Cricket rites etc even if you don't subscribe to the sports channels.

I should also point out about getting a decent OLED TV, it would upscale any content and you really don't need to pay for UHD.

Unless you're an avid sports follower, I think a streaming device like a firestick at about £25 is the future. Subscribe to a particular platform like Netflix for a month the pause the subscription and do the same with another platform or do two at a time. At the end of the day you can only watch one thing at a time so why subscribe to a load and have paid for platforms that are left idle for ages.

Sky are disgusting. The worst company I have ever dealt with.

Was mis sold a product straight away, promised a package that wasn't provided and sent to several agents who had no idea what they are doing. The most disorganised company I have ever dealt with. When you offered a product or service at a fixed price, it should be honoured. The amount of agents and managers who could not mitigate or correct anything on my account after eight attempts. I spent more time on the phone to sky within two weeks of taking the package than anyone else. Customer service is also very very poor for a supposedly reputable company.

I’ve been a customer for 15 years

I’ve been a customer for 15 years, using their live TV, sports, and broadband services. Over time, the customer service has become absolutely appalling. Loyalty clearly means nothing to them. Every time I asked for a deal or offer available to new customers, I was told I’d have to cancel and argue just to get a fair price.

The call centre staff are incredibly disrespectful and lack basic courtesy—you feel more like a nuisance than a valued customer. The whole experience is a joke, and it’s clear they don’t care about keeping loyal customers happy.

I’ve had enough and I’m switching to Virgin. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for decent service or respect as a customer.
