Utter rubbish
Utter rubbish. Worked for a few months then just wouldn’t start up without having to disconnect it from the power and restart.
Gave up on it in the end and used fire stick.
Don’t waste your time and money on this rubbish.
Tbh this could work
Tbh this could work . However and a big however. You would need this wired connection and above 500mg speed. I had this and also wired connection rather than WiFi and I still had issues . Thus cancelled . Back to sky Q which is good . A bit of shame that I have to agree with every other negative bit of feedback . Sky needs to sort this out as this bit of equipment is not good and up to their usual standards or excellence. The terminology is moth ball this bunch of poop .
Sky Stream Sucks
I’ve been a long term customer. But following the change onto Sky stream I can’t find anything I want to watch.
The pre served up selections are not to my taste
The continue watching part is rubbish. I stop watching programmes when I don’t like them. Yet they are always there in the continue watching selection like a bad reminder of what I DON’T want to watch.
My playlist is continually empty.
The programmes I’m gravitating to on IPlayer & 4 etc (which you’ve now forced me onto as part of your streaming service) can’t be saved in the playlists. That’s neither intelligent or convenient.
My favourite news channel 4 is seldom available on the same day. But hey! I can always go on 4 itself and watch. So what’s the point of Sky Stream I ask myself?
The algorithm isn’t clever enough to serve me up programmes I like watching. So the selection is completely off kilter with my preferences.
Now I have to wait until my contract ends so all this has done is successfully pushed me on to platforms that I can access on a browser. Saving myself £60 per month and a ton of disappointment

Sky Please don’t get rid of sky Q when the time comes. I am so happy with sky Q and I hope people don’t even Get sky stream and fight for sky Q to go on forever

Shocking the lag is unbelievable and I'm on the fastest broadband package available stay away only had it one day trust me it's getting cancelled
Regrettable switch
6 years as a Sky Q customer and generally favourable reviews, Sky stream was half the cost this year and decided to switch. Regret instantly, been through 2 pucks in the first month as technology is terrible, no recording, uses the channels app for the show, rubbish interface, incredibly slow, it’s essentially turns your smart tv into a not so smart tv. Will be trying to switch back this month or eventually cancelling the contract. Do not recommend and use NOW tv for the sport if needed.

Absolute garbage
Absolute garbage, if you have the choice to avid do so at all costs. Functionality, can't record, can't actually watch from start if you join late, gives you the option but doesn't work. Try watching football of F1 and it cuts out or jumps ahead either live or on playback. All this of course if you can keep an internet connection regardless of whether it is wifi or ethernet mine currently refuses to find internet. Even though every other device I have is working fine. and injury to insult I'm paying extra to skip ads, pure and complete rubbish.
Its gone as soon as I can get rid.
Inadvisable
Changed from Sky Q as most things are available via my appleTV which is SO much faster/smoother/better. When I cancelled Q I was offered a Sky stream at a good price so thought I’d try it. Lasted 12 hours with it. “Recordings” play back very stuttering with restarts and poor quality picture. The menu system whilst looking like Sky Q is a lot more complicated and fussy. Other methods of watching the myriad apps available have overtaken Sky and Sky have launched this product before it is ready for mass usage. Totally unrecommended.
I’m so unhappy with it
I’ve been switched to sky stream because there is no alternative for. my location. I’m so unhappy with it. Can’t record. Have to make playlists where programmes just cut off half way. No subtitles on playlist programmes which us a huge problem for me. I’m really sad because TV is my main entertainment.
don't get waste your time with it
I'm so happy to be coming to the end of the contract, everytime I turn it on I'm apprebtly not connected to the Internet, or it will constantly freeze, they also are charging me £104 a month, for this waste of time, truly can't wait for it to be gone i will be leaving sky after this as it's just not worth it I would 100% NOT RECOMMEND
Poor product
We swapped to Sky Stream from Virgin, which we were happy with, because the massive price hike was making it unaffordable.
At first we thought it was going to be good as the engineer came & put in a new router & the Puck was simply plugged in to tv.
However that evening the Puck was getting a new name from us as we were up & down resetting the system every 10-20mins.
It was like having a dial up service!
There is also no facility to record any programmes, just catch up on Apps which can be done on Freeview anyway.
The next day we cancelled it.
Do not buy this
Useless TV service; truly appalling. If you want to record anything, it just redirects you to the app. If in ireland, you can't record BBC. For RTE, you just get shunted to the RTE player. You have to pay extra to skip ads. This is a return to TV of the 90s, but at contemporary prices. Avoid.
Sky stream just as bad as Sky Q
400mb Internet conection, sky stream puck connected via ethernet cable every other device in the house works fine yet sky picture freezes, sound cuts in and out and screen goes back.
Regrettable purchase.
Committed to a 2 year contract and regretting it already. Absolutkey terrible product. Constant freezing and restarting when watching channels. Sometimes it doesn't pick up and the remote no longer works and you have to pull the power cable. Such a poor service for the price. I know people who get a better service with illegal streaming. May be the way to go if they can't sort these issues out. Quick enough to take your money though. I'll be trying to get out of the contract as this isn't what I signed up for.

Do NOT have Sky stream. Problems every day and not a patch on Sky Q. I concur with the other 1 star reviews on here.
Terrible product.
Cannot watch a programme all the way through before it goes off and displays technical error, and the sound to the TV programme goes off I have to switch it on and off multiple times watching anything. Skys checked my internet and it's scores excellent, when I asked for a new box they wanted just to end my contract and take another one out for sky Q which would be double the cost I'm already paying.

This product has taken tv viewing back to the 1980s. It's a horrendous, especially on live sports which are the channels that keep sky in business. I would migrate back to sky q tomorrow.
