Unhappy to extent that i have left without taking full treatment or part refund even though paid in full.

I paid £250 in total for 6 dermalux treatment's in Huddersfield when agreement had been reached with Karen and I am disappointed with the result's, I don't feel I have had benefits to this treatment as it was clearly mentioned by concerns are skin discolouration and ache scarring, I was told this is the only treatment available for me at this stage as I was already taking regular laser c02 treatment by NHS, Apparently the dermalux treatment aids with speeding recovery time for c02 laser however this is not the reason as to why I purchased a pack of 6 treatment's as the recover time from c02 laser did not affect me, I was told I would receive additional benefits other than speed recovery which is why I decided to proceed,

It may help to make you feel radiant the first few day's other than that I see no point in this treatment at all, In all fairness I would only recommend this treatment to customer's if you have a occasion as the affect's are very minimal and nothing long term as to what customer's would usually expect.

In total I have had 5 treatment's through this company and decided to end it right there after the 5th treatment without taking my final treatment and that's for multiple other reason's apart from this.

I spoke to Karen in regards to my skin originally hoping to look brighter from face, I was given free sample's to trial and was told will speak about it later after we see how it goes for my skin, The samples finished in two week's and I requested if more are available when I spoke to Kyra at reception, Kyra went back spoke to Amanda and passed comment's to Kyra which I over heard and was not nice or professional. Kyra came back and kindly told me the samples are unavailable and asked if I would like to purchase a full bottle.

To make things clear I still have no idea if the sample's are any good for me to purchase a full bottle and that can be due to a lack of information provided but if I should expect to see result's in two week's of usage then no I have not received visible results. I left feeling I shouldn't of asked for the sample's as the negative experience with how I was refused by Amanda would of been avoided,

On the day of the 5th treatment while I was sat waiting Amanda came over and said ( Are you ok to pay £125 for the dermalux treatment because you have only paid £125 for the first half haven't you?)

I was surprised with what was asked and how it was asked, I made it clear that I have already paid for the full course of 6 treatment's, First half £125 was paid on day one and the second half was paid through Kyra on my fourth treatment.. Kyra was not aware a payment was due when I had asked her I would like to complete the payment for the final three treatment's.

After I mentioned that I have already paid for the full course I was told they were not aware as they are going through a payment system change so they are unable to see..

I feel the way how a payment was asked and telling me I have not paid if they can't see the data is totally wrong and a unprofessional approach, It could of come across completely different just by asking my if I have paid for the second half of the treatment.

I took my firth treatment and did not book my last treatment which is already paid for before I left.

I have a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia and delusional disorder which was not disclosed to the business as it shouldn't affect me if I was handled professionally, However I am sure this company will understand a negative experience is a lot more likely to affect me as compared to a normal customer without the mental health condition.

I still had no clear vision as to what the expectation's are with treatment's required and potential cost's throughout the whole process.. I understand Karen would like to adjust and amend potential treatment's based on progress which is fine however there still should be able to provide a estimate of total treatment's, cost's to have to desired results so customer's are aware of where they stand.

THINK TWICE

I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking treatments at Skyn Doctor. I’ve spent over £4,200 on laser hair removal since August 2023, and not only have I seen no results, but I’ve also suffered blisters, irritation, and burns after sessions.

I was told I’d only need six sessions — completely misleading. Despite continuing well beyond that, the treatments were rushed, inconsistent, and left me with visible skin damage. When I raised my concerns and formally complained, I was ignored. No response, no accountability — just silence.

This experience has caused me stress, physical pain, and serious financial loss. I expected professionalism from a clinic like Skyn Doctor, but instead I feel misled and completely let down.

I will now be taking legal action to recover the money I’ve lost. Please learn from my experience — your skin and your money deserve far better.

We did receive your emails on Wednesday and Thursday evening — both of which were outside our clinic hours. As our clinic is closed on Thursdays and reopens on Friday, we unfortunately did not have the opportunity to respond before your review was posted. We absolutely intended to get back to you promptly once the clinic reopened.



Our goal has always been to provide safe, effective treatments in a professional environment, and we regret that your experience did not meet your expectations.

Avoid if you have real skin concerns

I regret to say that my experience at this skin clinic was extremely disappointing. The customer service was atrocious, and the treatment I received not only failed to address my skin concerns but actually exacerbated them. It seems they believe discounted treatments justify subpar service, which is simply unacceptable. Furthermore, their lack of care resulted in liquid spillage into my ear and eye during the procedure. I would strongly advise avoiding this clinic at all costs.

Absolutely excellent

Absolutely excellent. I had the exilis and hydrafacial with charlotte and Amanda and I couldn't recommend it enough. Lovely place and friendly staffxx

I am so pleased to of found the skyn…

I am so pleased to of found the skyn Doctor . The service is second to none and the staff are so helpful ,friendly and will go above and beyond to help even outside of your appointment . The clinic is very clean and covid safe . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the skyn doctor to anyone looking for skin care support and treatments

Amanda has to be one of the most…

Amanda has to be one of the most professional laser practitioners I have ever been to, she is honest and very thorough, I feel very comfortable with her and trust she will always do the best possible and she never misses an area. She’s very confidant and gentle and overall it’s always a great experience. I now only go for a top up but the clinic offers more then laser which I will be looking forward to trying soon.
