I recently completed a Level 2 facial course at Skin Philosophy in Clapham, and I am incredibly impressed with the exceptional accommodation they provided for my learning difficulties. From start to finish, their commitment to my success and their understanding of my disability were remarkable.

Skin Philosophy's staff demonstrated genuine empathy and went above and beyond to support me throughout the course. They took the time to listen to my needs and provided the necessary help at every stage.

Undeniable passion and experience

I recently completed my Level 4 Laser Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation course with Skin Philosophy. Their knowledge, skill and undeniable passion really comes through into their training. It took overall a year from start to finish with 2 practical days and an exam day, while doing theory and assignments from home. Jessica and Anna Louise was always on hand to help, and to offer advice and their experiences. I 100% recommend their training!

I trained with skin philosophy after years being out of the industry, I needed to gain my ofqual qualification and thank god I did! You don’t realise how much knowledge you need to know until you start learning

The teachers are great, communication was amazing! Responses were almost instance!

So disappointing !!!!

Unfortunately I had a really negative experience with Skin philosophy. For such a large national company I felt really let down with many stages of the process. Practical dates changed several times and they could give me no guarantee at all of when I was to do the practical VTCT assessment.

I was offered 1-1 training which initially seemed a great advantage but on the agreement that I would complete my level 2 practical experience in one day and my level 3 facial electrics the next day. So in two days I would be deemed fully competent in both levels ? I found this really alarming when comparing to the amount of practical training dates other academy’s offered.

My biggest concern was the content of the training videos. I am somewhat lost for words but they just have to be seen to be believed. The delivery was so erratic and like nothing I’ve witnessed before. It was way below what I feel is acceptable for the amount of money paid. When I raised my concerns about them I was told that ‘this is her style’ and she ‘wouldn’t be changing it’. Which I thought was extremely defensive and unprofessional .

I was also encouraged to change from VTCT to Cibtaq mid way through the course , with the promise that is was a ‘more prestigious qualification’. It was passed off as if it were no big deal but after speaking with other training providers I am assured that it is not common practice and have had to seek further advice from VTCT on the matter.

I had paid for level 2, 3 and 4 but after so many concerns I did not wish to proceed any further. I no longer had any faith in them as a company so requested a full refund which thankfully was granted and processed with no issue.

I was told that I was the only complaint they’d ever received, but since speaking to multiple students (past and present) via social media platforms I am confident and assured that this so far from the truth. I have spoken to others who have been successful in obtaining a refund, someone who has been declined a refund and another few others who feel they are now too far through the course to step off and also don’t have the confidence to speak up. This is a great shame and saddens me greatly as these courses cost thousands !!!

It is such a disappointing end to what I believed would be a thorough professional process. It wasted a lot of my time and now have to seek alternative training. But in many ways it brings relief as had I pursued the other courses with them I am confident that I would have faced a whole new multitude of other issues.

Great training experience

I have trained with SP level 2 & 3 now studying level 4 peels and needling. The training was amazing with Anna Louise I learnt a lot and now my business is thriving with skin treatments. I love the fact you can go at your own pace as I have a busy lifestyle mum of 2 and business owner I recently had a study break as on maternity but someone is always there to ask questions or support. Great company to train with.

5 stars training centre!

I have recently completed my L3 facial electrics and L2 facial massage and skincare at Skin Philosophy. I have to say that the whole team is very professional. My tutor, Jessica shared her knowledge and imparted her skills in providing facial electric treatments. The practical trainings were comprehensive and productive. I learned various modalities, products and skincare during the trainings. She is fabulous! The course manuals provided were very helpful and the assignments given have supported my learning throughout the courses. I want to thank Jessica, Colette, Rebecca, Michelle, and Annalouise for such a wonderful learning experience at Skin Philosophy.

I have been completing a Level 4 laser hair removal course with Skin Philosophy Training. I have had great help with my course at home and really enjoyed my training with Jessica, she is lovely and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
