The EP200 is soooo bad. Cheap, back problems, creaky, terrible
The EP200 chair is one of the worst things I've ever bought. Complete rip-off. So bad that it's actually CAUSED back problems. The quality is so bad that it's been creaking since it was about a week old, the 'back support' was designed by the devil himself, to destroy your back. The head rest is in the way all the time, leaving your head unable to be positioned correctly, and the materials are cheap. NEVER AGAIN. Go for another brand NOT BOULIES. When on their own website just filter the reviews from "lowest rating" and you'll see a lot of people saying the same stuff.

Best chair on the market!
I’ve owned quite a few “gaming” chairs over the years, including flagship models from Andaseat, Asus, and Razer. They’ve all had one major flaw in common. After a couple of years, the faux or bonded leather starts to peel, crack, and fall apart. It’s honestly frustrating when you’re spending over £400, only to replace it again not long after.
That’s where Boulies comes in. I went with the Master Series Max, mainly because it offers nappa leather. This isn’t going to crack or peel like the others. Yes, it costs more, but it really does feel like you get what you pay for.
The attention to detail is clear from the start. From opening the box and getting that proper leather smell, to how the screws are already positioned in place to make assembly quicker, to the premium badge on the side. It just feels well thought out.
The adjustable lumbar support has been a game changer. At first I thought something felt off, but I realised it wasn’t the chair, it was my posture after years of sitting badly. After a few weeks, I can genuinely feel my posture improving. It supports the lower back properly and even makes breathing feel more natural when seated. The seat base is soft and is already starting to mould nicely as the leather breaks in.
Customer support has also been excellent. Fast replies every time I reached out. I also picked up the optional armrests, which make it feel even more like a proper armchair.
Overall, it’s definitely on the expensive side, especially in nappa leather, but I honestly think this chair is built to last. The 2+1 year warranty is a nice bonus and shows confidence in the product.
Disclaimer: This isn’t sponsored. I paid for it myself. It just genuinely deserves the praise.
Looks nice, don't last - Don't waste your money
I think it would be hard to find a worse chair than this.
The seating was torn after less than a year of use. They have sent out a new cushion under warranty but it was a real challenge to swap the old out. I also asked them to send over the plastic covers for the sides as it is impossible to get them off without scratching them. Not only they didn't send these, they have not sent any instructions out either and obviously you have one screw that is at least double the length so you have to remember where that goes while braking your arm trying to position the back rest to the seat (there is a reason the seat comes assembled when you purchase it first).
On top of that the arm rest is just unusable without additional 3rd party cushions.
Don't get me wrong, the materials are nice to look at, but most cheaper chairs would pair this in durability and I dare to say even in comfort.

Excellent chair
Updated 11/3/26
A company that listens to its customers, and takes time to re design, based upon customer feedback. All I can say is well done & thankyou.
The replacement parts were fitted in a matter of minutes, the footrest extension stop issue is now fixed. The chair is extremely comfortable & relaxing, not sure how I put up with my last chair for so long. The quality is extremely high, you can tell a lot of thought went into the selection of materials. I went for fabric, which i do not regret.
The previous footrest travel limiter relied upon 2 "O rings" to stop the travel, the updated design is perfect.

EP460
Purchased a EP460 in November 2024 due to constant back pain as I work from home.
The chair arrived and was very easy to assemble, it’s extremely comfortable and all the mesh has kept its shape / firmness unlike chairs with foam / cushion
Unfortunately my tilt mechanism stopped working, I contacted Boulies who replied in less that 24 hours (Baring in mind this was on the weekend) and have shipped me a replacement mechanism no questions asked

2 Years After Use – Review
I bought two Boulies chairs in February 2024 - one for me and one for my partner. Both chairs are still in excellent condition.
My partner’s chair has started creaking slightly, but he uses it heavily (around 10–12 hours a day for work, hobbies, and gaming). It doesn’t seem like anything a bit of WD-40 couldn’t fix. The chairs are very high quality, and I absolutely disagree with people who say Secretlab chairs are better. Not even close. Secretlab chairs feel fragile, starts creaking very quickly and ridiculously overpriced, while our Boulies chairs are going strong into their second year with no real issues.
I bought the dark charcoal and ash grey color, and it still hasn’t stained from dark jeans or accidental spills (very easy to clean off, use carpet cleaner - works best). The chair is extremely comfortable - sometimes when watching a movie next to pc, it’s easy to fall asleep in it.
Both my partner and I are quite tall and a bit bubbly sized people, and the chairs still feel solid and built to last. I honestly couldn’t recommend the company or the chairs enough.
We bought the Master Max Series and would absolutely recommend it 😊
Avoid
Avoid. Despite the high price point the chairs are terrible build quality. The chair I bought creaks so much that my Microsoft teams mic picks it up when I move, it is extremely annoying. I contacted customer services who sent me a replacement wheel base (which is a different design to the one that came with it so clearly a problem they are designed out with the wheel bases) which I had to fit myself and did not make the slightest difference. They then sent me a new tilt mechanism part with the caveat “this might fix it but are currently developing a new part”. I tried to install it in my own time, only to find 2 hours into trying to remove the god forsaken piston that their website advises you need a special tool to remove which alas, they did not send me.
I am frustrated as there are other brands on Amazon that other copies of this design and ironically would have likely been better quality, or at least easier to return.

It’s hard to review as the product…
It’s hard to review as the product (elite chair) is good. Worth the value, etc., so it would be a 3-3.5 star (it’s not Secretlab quality for sure, but not a Secretlab price tag either), as it arrived with faulty parts, but those were replaced within a week.
The problems start when you want to buy an accessory, such as a replacement gas cylinder. On the website, you’ll see 3-4 days' delivery from the UK, so that you can expect fast delivery in the UK, and maybe a day or two additional delivery time for Ireland. Then you will wait. After a week, you’ll contact support, and they tell you it’s at least 10+ days (excluding weekends, holidays, and days they don’t want to count) because it’s from China (which is not part of the UK). No compensation, no sorry, nothing.
So, buy the chair from here if you're on a tig ht budget. And order the accessories from amazon where you can buy a compatible item with next day delivery

Great Customer Service
Customer Service was excellent. Through a series of emails, Jeff did a great job in helping me resolve a problem I had with the Boulies master chair I bought.
You can't try out these chairs in the shops before buying, so there's always a risk that you'll select a chair that's not quite right for you. I suspect that Boulies recognise that and off-set the problem with the best possible customer service.
(The chair that I chose wasn't quite right for me, but with Jeff's help, I managed to improvise an unconventional adjustment that solved the problem.)
The chair itself is well constructed and excellent quality.
During the process Jeff assured me that if his suggested fixes turned out not to work, Boulies would still honour the 14 day replacement guarantee, even if the we were to go a bit over that that 14 day limit because of any delay in Boulies delivering a replacement part. That was reassuring.
Update one month later:
I did query with Boulies whether the "Nappa Leather" actually comes from real animal skins. The texture is completely uniform and unblemished all over, doesn't seem to scratch or scuff, doesn't absorb water, doesn't smell of leather (doesn't smell of anything) and didn't even come with any leather care instructions.
Boulies gave me the following assurances:
"I can confirm that the Nappa leather used on your Boulies Master chair is genuine, natural leather, made from tanned animal hide. It is not synthetic or artificial.
• As with all natural hides, genuine Nappa leather may have minor imperfections, such as small scars or marks from the animal hide. During production, only the finest hides are selected and lightly corrected, which can make the leather appear almost flawless. These natural variations are a normal part of authentic leather and do not affect its quality or durability.
• The leather may show resistance to scratches and scuffs due to the surface finishing applied to improve durability for everyday use.
• Water resistance is a result of protective finishing applied during tanning, which prevents immediate absorption.
• Modern, well-processed leather may have little to no strong leather smell, and this is normal.
• Because the leather is already treated and sealed, special leather care instructions are not required."
Great product and support
I bought Boulies Chair Swivel Lock Mechanism to prevent my chair from swiveling and their item works as advertised !!
The mechanism can be locked and unlocked at will, eg to adjust the height.
It allows me to keep my current chair, while adding the no-swiveling feature.
This product from Boulies looks rock solid, is simple and very usefull for those looking for a more stable chair.
Finally, I would like to thank Evelyn and Giselle (Customer Service) for their time and support of my purchasing from abroad.
Sit at your desk in an elegant and comfortable chair
I wish to commend Boulies for the exceptional comfort and quality of their Master Rex chair. Its ergonomic design and superior build have greatly improved my work experience.
I also want to highlight the outstanding Customer Support I received. The response to my problem was immediate, courteous, and highly professional, making the entire process effortless and resolving my problem rapidly.
This company has high standards for product excellence and customer care.

I accidentally left off my house number, but they reached out before shipping to correct it. The delivery was spot on - I appreciated the attention to detail!
I bought a chair in July 2024
I bought a chair in July 2024. Just over a year later and the backrest has completely broken. Inside the welded bracket that holds the chair to the adjustment arm has broken off.
I've emailed support, but as this is just over 12 months and they charge for an extended warranty, I'll see what they say.
It does seem that the quality of these chairs is not matched by their price. The metal bracket is clearly of poor quality, as it has bent at the top, which in turn has put additional load on the small weld/join.
Serious design flaw.

My wife got me a boulies gaming master…
Updated Review: Boulies Gaming Master Chair – Exceptional Design, Stellar Customer Service
I purchased the Boulies Gaming Master Chair for around £350, and at first glance, I was really impressed. The chair looked fantastic and felt solid, offering a great aesthetic and design that really fit into my gaming/office setup. The initial comfort was excellent, and I was excited to use it for long hours, but after about 12 months, I started to notice some alignment issues with the backrest. It was shifted about 2-3 inches off-center, which, unfortunately, began to affect the chair's overall comfort.
I reached out to Boulies, and they were quick to respond. They sent me a replacement seat, but the color was wrong, and the alignment issue wasn’t fixed. They then sent me a new backrest, and while it seemed like it helped a bit, the problem persisted. After disassembling the chair and carefully inspecting the parts, my son, who has a background in engineering, discovered that all four main components (two seats and two backrests) were misaligned by different measurements. This mismatch was the root of the issue, and despite our best efforts to realign everything, the chair remained uncomfortable and uneven.
At this point, I had resigned myself to using the chair as is, though it wasn’t ideal, and the discomfort continued to build up. However, after nearly two years of use and growing back pain, I reached out to Boulies once again, hopeful for a resolution.
I’m pleased to report that Boulies quickly responded and replaced the faulty backrest with one that was properly aligned. The new backrest arrived fast, and it was a game-changer.
Now that the backrest issue has been resolved, the chair is comfortable, well-aligned, and much better for long hours of use. I’ve been using it again for long gaming sessions, and the comfort level is back to where it should have been from the start.
What I really want to emphasize is how outstanding Boulies’ customer service is. While my experience with the chair wasn’t perfect, they went above and beyond to resolve the issue and ensure I was happy with the product. Unlike many companies that forget about you once the sale is made, Boulies stood by their product and proved they value their customers.
I now wholeheartedly recommend the Boulies Gaming Master Chair. It’s a great-looking, high-quality chair with exceptional customer service behind it. If you want a chair that will provide comfort for hours of sitting without the aches and pains, this is definitely one to consider.

faulty within 18 months
Purchased boulies master max chair 18 months ago for a very high price (easily 3 to 4 times the price of a regular decent office chair - almost secret labs price), under the impression that Boulies made high quality durable chairs that would last for years, hence the higher investment.
The gas lift leaked mineral oil and completely collapsed, chair cannot be raised at all anymore. It seems Boulies uses low quality gas lifts, as a high quality gas lift would be rated for at least 200 kilos, almost double the weight of the person using the chair.
The wheels are also of low quality and the bearing in them seems to also be damaged or something, as the chair no longer rolls smoothly and is difficult to move while sitting on it.
Boulies did offer to replace the gas lift and wheels, but, and although I insisted that I wasn't able to remove the gas lift from the chair and that I would need a tilt mechanism and wheel base replacement, they would only send me a "separation kit" along with a youtube short video.
As I suspected, the separation kit is crap. It's 2 smooth metal rings that you attach onto the gas lift, then push 2 bolts through to force them apart. But because it's smooth metal on smooth metal, all it does is slide one of the 2 rings along the gas lift shaft...
Not only that but one part of the kit can only be used if the chair is in it's highest position. Which you obviously can't do when the gas lift is faulty and has collapsed... What a brilliant idea Boulies, make a gas lift separation kit that only works if the gas lift works.....
I have written to Boulies again (and likely will need to wait, and argue my case for a proper wheel base and tilt mechanism replacement as they will try insisting for me to use that crappy separation kit again), and I will update this review if and when I arrive at a satisfactory resolution.
EDIT: Following my review, Boulies got back to me and are sending replacement parts to fix my chair without needing to use their "separation tool". This should've been sent in the first place, but at least I will be able to get my chair repaired. Thank you to Boulies for making it right eventually. I hope the replacement gas lift does not break again (they are saying they are meant to be the high quality kind, not sure how mine failed after 18 months)

Bought an EP-200 about a year ago
Bought an EP-200 about a year ago, the comfort is great but its the loudest chair I've ever sat on! Clunking and banging when making tiny movements ... even worse standing up and sitting down! A real shame for the price of it, the quality doesn't match the price.
An absolute shame!
