I have not yet had any follow-up from the solicitor assigned to my case. I contacted her after a week and received a response saying that she had had IT issues and that this was the reason she had not produced a Claim Letter.
Simpson Millar responded:
"We can see that your solicitor has since been in touch on 10th October and provided an update with a response deadline before Friday."
They failed to acknowledge that I had been in touch with the solicitor since 10th October asking for the Claim Letter to be sent today. This firm seems to be saying that to wait another week is reasonable when the alleged outage occurred last week. What are other people's experiences of this organisation?

Very pleased with the actions taken by Simpson Millar
I had very little to do, I give them a timeline which I had already developed, but other than that -nothing to do. Mrs Reid (nee Emsley) Congratulations - has always been very pleasant and Helpful , keeping in touch and ensuring I was up to date with all the actions.

Honestly an amazing experience with Shazia Ahmed. She ensured everything was made very clear to me about processes and explained the next process soo I am informed. I found the regular calls was particularly useful to me as well as how she explained everything to me in depth. Everything she did was very very professional and a company that you can definitely trust. Shazia Ahmed made the processes very easy and communication was spot on. She was very kind and understanding as sometimes she’d help me understand things in simple terms soo I understood. Thank you soo much to Shazia Ahmed I will definitely recommend her to family and friends as well as the company.

My Solicitor Charlotte 1907983 has been so helpful through the whole process which is long. She dealt with my questions with much knowledge and sensitivity. I found the process quite stressful at times. I’d had the accident and then I was very ill. She was supportive throughout and made this very difficult time easier for me. Knowing that she was dealing with the case and explaining the process which took away some of my anxiety. I feel she went above and beyond. She also always either answered the phone when I called or called me back the next day. I never had a problem getting hold of her. She was very patient and guided me through it all.

I have been dealing with Charlotte for just over six and a half years regarding a personal injury claim after my son was attacked by a dog. Throughout the whole process, Charlotte has been professional, supportive, and patient.
She regularly followed up with phone calls to ensure I understood the legal jargon and my options clearly. Charlotte remained fully transparent at every stage and always kept my son’s best interests at the forefront.
Although the settlement took a long time to reach, I am truly grateful for her dedication, guidance, and support over the years. Thanks to her help, we can now fully put this behind us and move on as a family.

Our dad sadly got diagnosed with mesothelioma and we were advised to get a solicitor. We chose Simpson Millar and so glad we did. I would like to say a big thank you to Anthony waddington in industrial disease department for handling our case with great professionalism and care. He was quick to answer all our many questions and was kind and patient and full of knowledge about the illness which we knew very little about. He helped us through a very sad time in our lives and made the legal side of it easier to deal with. We were very pleased with the outcome and our late father would of been too. Thanks again Anthony.

The best solicitors I’ve ever had the experience to use from start to finish and my particular case went on for a number of years always well Informed and kept up to date as the case is progressing and they got me the desired result at the end of it after working very hard for me you’ll not find a better firm I had the pleasure to have Jacob Shaw & Keir Metcalfe on my particular case who are absolutely outstanding from their abuse department welldone and hopefully you can help me with my future case

Thank you for taking the time to reply, but I disagree with your review. While there was disrepair on behalf of Aster Housing Association, the neglect, damp and infestation lead to the tenant suffering personal injury, chest infection and PTSD which I consider to abuse, not just a case of housing disrepair as you have explained!
------------------
I stayed on the line for over 40 minutes yesterday while being asked questions, many of which I had already written out on Simpson Millar ‘request a call back enquiry form’. An appropriate expert called me at 6pm last night and within two minutes we had established that my client is NOT a potential Simpson Millar client.
Your expert stated that they only consider clients that have been ‘sexually abused’ or ‘physically abused’. Apparently an vulnerable individual who was left in a home for over 3 years with mould, damp, infestation of bugs, lack of heating, leading to severe PTSD and chest infections by a landlord/housing association is NOT considered physical abuse when the ‘perpetrator’ knew what they were doing.
I guess that my understandings of abuse differ. Perpetrator - a person who carries out a harmful, illegal, or immoral act - the perpetrators of this horrific crime must be brought to justice.

The openness and honest advice is what I valued most.
I started with Georgia Wake and then was transferred to Yasmin Dacas and both did a through job. I was kept fully informed of the progress of my case and when it came to the court day I was fully prepared and fully briefed.
Yasmin responded to emails on a weekend, which was unexpected but welcome.
I cannot fully express how grateful I am for the service that was provided throughout

I first spoke to Simpson Millar around 4 years ago regarding a possible claim for damages regarding Botox and Fillers to my face. The solicitor who was dealing with my case left the firm and therefore I was transferred to another solicitor. It’s very easy if you have the same solicitor from beginning to end as they understand your case as well as you do so to take over a case it’s very difficult for the new solicitor, and as a client you are concerned about the transfer of your case
The solicitor who I was transferred to was Rachel Lindsay, I needn’t have been concerned at all.
Rachel is extremely knowledgeable in clinical negligence and right from the outset explained to me her considerable experience and even experience in exactly my type of case
I immediately felt re-assured and extremely “safe” in her hands
In literally only 12 weeks she has fully understood my case literally to the letter, whenever I have spoken to her she has always been polite helpful and took time and patience to explain all steps of what she was doing for me, I never felt rushed or that I didn’t understand anything, quite simply she’s brilliant
As I say only 12 weeks, in this short period of time she has been totally up to speed and efficient and has literally negotiated a very satisfactory conclusion for myself. She has kept me up to date with everything as it has happened!
I am so grateful to Rachel, as she understood how stressed I have been about my case, she realised that I desperately needed closure in order for me to recover and start on the road to rebuilding my life.
I would absolutely recommend Rachel Lindsay and Simpson Millar as excellent solicitors who do genuinely care about their clients. You do not feel like just another statistic you feel understood and cared about.
To Rachel though the biggest thank you! I can say both myself and my husband are truly delighted with what she has achieved.
I would further say if you ever need a fantastic solicitor Rachel Lindsay is your girl! A bit like the Wonder Woman of solicitors but without the cape!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
