Disappointed
Always been simple to renew the policy. I needed to make a claim for carpet after a tenant burnt and got paint all over them, the process was relatively smooth and good communication but they charged me an excess per room for the 4 rooms I claimed for. So for 1 claim worth £1397, I paid £1000 in excess. Just classic insurance companies worming their way out of paying.

Brilliant service from start to finish. I sorted out our public liability insurance through Simply Business for my company, MJK Roofing, based in Chelmsford. The platform is easy to navigate, the quotes are clear, and it gives me total peace of mind while out on the job. Will definitely keep using them

Patient and knowledgeable
Patient, knowledgeable, and thorough staff. Apart from the support in refining the quotation and selecting the right policy, we had technical issues during the phone call, but the operator (Ness) was very patient, and we got things over the line.

We understand how frustrating it can be when you want to cancel your policy online and find you have to call instead. We do offer the option to cancel online in customer account, but not all policies will be eligible for this.
If you still need help cancelling your policy, please call our customer service team on 0333 014 6683. They will be happy to guide you through the process and get this sorted for you.
Poor customer service
Unable to make a lot of changes online, and phone lines were never answered on the times I tried.
Email support took 2 weeks to reply to a simple address change request.
Policies auto-renew with no way to cancel online. I asked support to cancel it and they failed to do it as well.

I would recommend Simply Business and use them again. Really straight forward and easy to use, great prices and decent customer service. Just be aware that the policies auto renew, I believe you can stop that though so worth looking into.

these policies have hidden auto renew…
these policies have hidden auto renew clauses built into them. I was unaware that my policy would auto renew.
After it renewed i tried to cancel the auto renew on line. but i was prevented from doing so.
So this company is holding my payment details and and the ability to charge my account., while making it difficult for me to cancel that agreement for which i was not made aware of.
I find that un-ethical.

The majority of our customers are happy for their policies to automatically renew but we appreciate it's not a one-size-fits-all approach. We detail our auto-renewal process at the point of sale, in print in our Terms of Business agreement, and we send an email three weeks prior to expiry which contains your quote and a reminder to let us know if you want to opt out.
The quickest way to opt out, cancel an unwanted policy, or to look at your renewal options is to call our UK based team on 0333 014 6683. We hope we can resolve this for you very soon. Wishing you all the best in the meantime.
